Chapter 70 Untitled Chapter

Chapter 70 Untitled Chapter
“Do you want to go too?”

“Hell no!” she snapped, but quickly retracted her words when he glared at her. “I mean, I am not fit enough to sleep on the same bed with our leader or his guest; I am a nobody.”

Wood smiled, nodded his head, and chuckled.

“So I want you to include her name on the list.”

Mr. Wood’s jaw dropped, and his eyes snapped wide. He removed the glasses from his face, looked at me, and gasped.

“Are you kidding me, Matilda? You want me to take this ignorant, rude girl to the leader? So she would go there, exchange words with him like she is doing to me, and put us all in trouble? No way!”

“I am not that kind of a person, clown; stop judging a book by its cover!” I snapped, crossing my arms.

“Can you hear that? She has, like, millions of insults harboring inside that mouth of hers. And if the leader gets insulted by her, you know he will apprehend you and me. And the rest, you know what will follow.”

Ahh! I really want to go to Casper’s house; I must get rid of him and return to my pack. Well, I have no choice but to do this.

I took in a deep breath, forced a broad smile, and placed my hands on the desk.

“Mr. Wood, you and I shouldn't be doing this, okay? Do not get upset over what I said to you. Tell me whatever you need to include my name in that list, and I will give it to you.”

He hesitated for a while, probably shocked that I was talking to him calmly. “Why are you eager to go to that house? Is there something you are after?”

And here we go!

“What makes you think I am going there to do something stupid?” I laughed nervously, stepping away from the desk. “I just want to pay my respect to the leader and his guest, that's all.”

He scoffed and got up from the chair. “Are you by any chance a prostitute?”

“A what!” My fingers clenched into a fist as superheated air flushed out of my nostrils.

“Hell no, Mr. Wood, she isn't like that. She just wants to pay her respect to the leader. Stop saying that.”

Even Matilda is angry now. Now she knows what I feel when I am being insulted.

“Amelia? Calm down, ignore what he said, and keep talking to him in a calm tone.” Amy said in between clenched teeth.

I exhaled, forced a smile again, and chuckled softly. “Mr. Wood, that is not a good name to call a girl, okay? Do not say that again. Can you now write my name on the list?”

Seriously, I can just use my power to control his mind, but letting it out will attract the demons, especially the vampires, and they will come here to hunt me.

I just wish there were another way to include my name on that list. Wait a second,

“Mr. Wood, are you interested in dating me?” I twisted my hair in my fingers, staring at him with eyes full of desire. He can't resist that. I know he will fall for it; it always does.

“Amelia?” Matilda whispered, but I ignored her.

“I can warm your bed as soon as I return from the leader’s house. And just so you know, I fuck well, more than your girlfriend, the receptionist.”

“She is his secret girlfriend,” Matilda whispered and gasped. Who cares? Now he will decide if he wants to reject my offer and watch me tell the whole town that the young receptionist is his girlfriend.

“What do you say, Mr. Wood?”

He sighed deeply, shook his head, and looked at us.

“Deal, but do not go back on your word. As soon as you return from there, come straight here, and we can go book a hotel room.” He winked.

“That’s fine. Now write the name, and I will be here tomorrow.”

He wrote my name down on the first line, meaning I will be given to the leader first. What a dream come true. And Casper, here I come.

“That was so good, Amelia. How did you come up with that idea all of a sudden?” Matilda was impressed by my action, and I love it. Now she knows I have many plans rolled up in my sleeve.

“It's as easy as consuming a cup of water. But I don't know if it will be easy for you; you aren't an Alpha blood.” She gasped, and I chuckled.

“So tomorrow, you will go to the leader’s house and carry out your plan. Be safe while you are there, Alpha Amelia. I heard Casper has a sharp instinct.”

Pfft. Not as sharp as mine, though.

We returned to the shop, and as she was fixing us dinner inside the kitchen, a knock came from the entrance door.

I was close since I was in the laundry area, watching the machine that was spinning the clothes.

I got the door, and when I saw who it was, my heart skipped a beat.

“What do you want?” he chuckled when I asked and stepped inside. I'd wanted to block the way, but the way he was sniffing me sent shivers down my spine.

“This vampire is seeking trouble, Amelia,” Amy frowned.

Yes, he is, and I swear by the goddess, if he doesn't stay away from me, I will make sure I pull out his fangs and kill him.

“I am here for you, pretty one. Why don't you just give me a chance to make you happy, girl? Since the first time our skin touched, I haven't been able to take you off my mind. I want you to be mine, and…”

As he stepped closer, I stepped back, but he didn't stop. He kept walking towards me until there was no way for me to go again.

“My name is Draco, the powerful vampire in this town.”

Oh, no wonder he is after me. He knows my blood is mixed with power that can turn him into a vampire god if he sucks it. Bad news, I am not a fool; I know what he wants.

“Sorry, Draco, I am not interested in dating you. You don't love me; you are only after my blood. So, bounce off, and don't you ever come here again!”

I snapped and pushed him away by his chest, but he grabbed my wrist, dragging me back to him.

“Do what I want, Alpha Amelia Brook of the Lunskye pack, or watch as I hand you over to the leader!”
