Chapter 65 Untitled Chapter

Chapter 65 Untitled Chapter
The next day started with a heavy bang on the glass door, jerking Matilda and me up from sleep. We stared at each other for a while, wondering who the idiot was who was doing that.

Anger swirled in my stomach, and I clutched the duvet to suppress my fury. Matilda apologized, getting out of bed as if she were the one knocking on the door that way.

As soon as she scurried out of the room, I got up, yawned, and stretched my arms. Every part of my body ached, especially my legs and head.

I headed towards the bathroom, but before I could open the door, loud voices broke out in the laundry area.

“What is that?” I asked Amy, heading towards the door.

“An angry customer,” she chuckled as if that was a normal thing. The insults were getting to be too much, and all Matilda was saying was sorry.

I held the door handle to leave the room and intervene in whatever was going on, but Amy pulled me back.

“You forgot the perfume.” Oh, yes! Why did I forget? Quickly, I sprayed myself all over, placed the bottle on the dressing table, and hurried out of the room.

“What is going on here?” I asked Matild, who was standing in front of a lady; her gaze dropped to the floor sadly. The lady turned to me, and her face flashed in my eyes instantly.

I knew her; she was the same lady who bumped into me yesterday and tried to pick a fight. What on earth is she doing here? And why is she picking on Matilda?

“What is she wearing?” she yelled between gasps, pointing at me with eyes so wide in shock. Matilda lifted her head, and when she too saw the shirt on me, her eyes snapped wide.

“That is the dress I gave you to wash for me, lady! How on earth is she wearing it?”

Jeez! This isn't Matilda’s shirt? Oh my goodness! But she was the one who gave it to me yesterday. Why would she give me someone else’s shirts? And not anyone but that rude lady, my number one enemy, whom I didn't want to cross paths with again.

“Remove it now!” she yelled, pulling the shirt. Even though it was only the three of us inside the shop, I was so embarrassed and wished I could disappear from there.

She succeeded in pulling off the shirt from my neck, and I was left with nothing underneath to cover up my body. My blood boiled in rage, but I had to control my anger.

“This is the last time I will be doing business with you, bitch!” She screamed at Matilda, glared at me, and stormed out, slamming the door.

I pulled back my hair, flattened it, and inhaled deeply, then exhaled.

“I am so sorry, Alpha Ameli. I didn't know it was her shirt. I thought I had given you one of mine.” Her lips kept twitching as she spoke, and her voice cracked.

“It's okay,” I forced a smile, patting my chest to suppress the power that was swirling inside, making my chest hurt like chilies.

I spun towards the inner room, and as I walked there, my boobs kept bouncing.

“I am so sorry, Alpha Amelia; please forgive me.” Matilda apologized for the fifth time since we sat down to breakfast.

“I said it was fine, dude; stop provoking me!” I slammed my hands on the table, breathing so hard. However, I took a deep breath, got up, and left the shop.

I needed some fresh air to cool off my head, but I made a mistake going out because the air inside the shop was better than that outside.

The atmosphere smells like smoke, causing my lungs to constrict. And as I walked down the street, it got worse, but I didn't want to go back to the laundry shop; I was still upset.

“Do not be mad at Matilda, okay?” Amy sighed sadly, “She regrets what she did, and you know she will never do that on purpose.”

Yeah, I know, but that doesn't change the fact that I was embarrassed. That means the lady saw my boobs, and she shamelessly stared at them before leaving the shop.

I don't care that she saw them; she is a lady, and she can't think of anything stupid, unless she is into women.

And if she is and tries to return, that is when I will teach her a lesson and let her know that I don't make out with my fellow gender.

“Guys, there is a huge problem!”

My eyes darted to the door, where a young guy barged inside the restaurant, panting heavily. He held his knees, breathing hard, but didn't stop talking.

“The leader has summoned every creature in this town to gather at the square because there is an important announcement to make.”

The leader? That is who I came to look for. Omg! This is great! Now I will see them and think of a way to kill them.

“Why? This has never happened before,” a lady who was sitting across from me said, chewing an ice cream cone.

“Yes, that is why it is shocking. Everyone is on their way there right now, and we shouldn't be left here. You guys know what will come up next if we don't show up.”

“Oh, yes, we will be killed.”

As they left the shop, I wiped my lips, threw the tissue in the trash can, and followed them.

There were a lot of them walking down the street, so I joined them, and after a few minutes of walking, we finally arrived at the square.

The place was crowded, and since I was standing at the back, I couldn't see the elders sitting far away on the stage.

“What should we do?” I mind-linked Amy, hoping there was a way we could get closer and see who was sitting on the throne that looked exactly like my father’s back at the Lunskye Pack.

“Wait a second, we will see who it is when they start to speak.”

I hoped so, but I didn't give up. I kept pushing myself inside the crowd, intending to get to the front space where I could see them clearly. However I tried, I was pushed from one creature to the other until I fell into the hands of a handsome guy whose face was as bright as the moon.

“Watch it, pretty,” he smiled, charming me with it. But as soon as his teeth were showcased and I saw two sharp fangs hanging out, I pulled away from him, my heart palpitating.

“Are you alright?” he asked worriedly, but I ignored him and kept going forward until I couldn't go anymore because of the crowd.

After a few minutes, engines roared, cars honked, and everyone turned towards the direction.

“The leader is here!” someone said from the back, and instantly, they went on their knees, hands on the ground, and heads lowered.
