Chapter 125 Untitled Chapter
she said in between mockery.
“ Sabrina isn't in this office?”
“Yes, she left earlier on, and with the look of things, she won’t return here today.”
“Are you trying to pull my leg right now, or are you saying the truth?”
I asked her, getting up from the chair.
“No, I am not trying to pull your leg or make fun of you because someone who should respect you didn't.” She chuckled softly.
That definitely was a mockery, but I had no time for Amy at that moment.
“If there is nothing important you want to tell me, then go back and sleep. Isn't that what you have been doing lately?” I snapped at her.
“Come on, dude, do not shut me up that way. I am only trying to help.”
“I don't need your help, Amy. You are always trying to make me upset anytime you open your mouth. If you can't go back to the Amy you used to be before, then leave me alone.”
I shut the door, stamping towards my office.
“Then good luck, Amelia.” She growled and blocked communication with me.
Good for her because I wasn't going to reply to any nonsense she would say again.
For the next six hours, Sabrina didn't return to the company, and that made me understand what Amy was trying to tell me.
“Alpha Amelia?” The secretary called as I walked past her desk. “Sabrina sent a message to the company 2 minutes ago.”
What kind of message did she send to the company? Has she already given up and decided to run away instead of terminating the contract because she wouldn't pay 12 million?
She handed me the tablet displaying the content of the message.
‘Hey, Amelia. How are you doing? I left the company because I was getting so bored and since there was a lot of things I needed to do with myself, I decided to leave work early.’
Really? Like, seriously?
When I returned to the packhouse, Sabrina's car wasn't in the parking lot or in front of the apartment, which showed that she didn't return to the packhouse.
I went inside, sat down on the sofa, and crossed my legs. Even if Sabrina would come back in the middle of the night, I was ready to wait in the living room for her.
“Do you need anything, Alpha Amelia?” one of the maids asked.
“Yes. Get me a glass of sparkling water.”
While she went away, I fixed my eyes on the door, waiting for Sabrina to return.
how I wish I knew the exact location Sabrina was at that moment. I would have shown up there unexpectedly and scolded her in front of whoever was present with her. I feel like embarrassing her the way she did to me earlier on.
20 minutes later the entrance door opened and Sabrina walked in, carrying four shopping bags. The moment her eyes fell on me, she smiled, rolling her eyes.
“Sabrina?” I called, getting up from the sofa. “Where do you think you are coming from?”
“Why are you asking? Do I look like a little pup whose movement has been monitored?”
“No, you aren’t a little pup. But tell me, does what you did make sense? I told you to wait in your office while I summoned the shareholders for an urgent meeting. They were all there, but you didn't show, Sabrina. Does that make sense to you?”
Sabrina sneered, adjusting the bags in her hands. She sighed deeply, shaking her head like I was disrupting her peace.
“Can you get out of my way, or will I push you?”
“I dare you to do that to me!” I snapped, walking closer to her. She paused and tilted her neck, looking at me arrogantly.
“You know what?” She sighed, “I am not ready for any tantrum right now. Can you just get out of my way so I can go to my room and rest? I am so tired from shopping, and the only thing I need right now is to lie down on my soft bed until tomorrow.”
She walked past me, brushing her shoulders with mine. However, I grabbed her wrist and twisted it so hard that she screamed in pain. “How could you do this to me!”
“You haven't seen anything yet, Sabrina. Nobody walks out on me when I am talking to them!”
“Release my hand, Amelia!”
“No, I won’t. Do your worst!”
When the maids started gathering in the living room, I released Sabrina's wrist, and she stormed away, stamping on the stairs as she headed to her room.
“Alpha Amelia? Is everything okay?” the chief of the servant asked, looking so worried.
Did everything look okay to her? Sabrina wants to see the bad side of me, and I will soon show it to her.
“Everything is fine. Get back to your work.” I sat down on the sofa trying to calm my mind as I was losing it, and if that happened, not only Sabrina but everyone in the packhouse was going to be hurt.
“Relax, Amelia.” Amy said, “Sabrina shouldn't make you angry.”
“You don't understand me; I am trying to hold it back, but Sabrina is always making me angry. How could she do this to me? Even when Matilda was doing her shit, I didn't lose it until I saw her with Hans.
“Forget about Sabrina. She shouldn't raise your emotions this high. Also, Sabrina doesn't possess any power, so she would be so easy for you to deal with.”
“Oh yes, that was so true.”
At dinner, I thought Sabrina wouldn't show up, but she did and shamelessly sat across the table on the chair where Hans usually sat.
I didn't want to say anything to her because she was going to upset me again, as she was so rude and arrogant. But I still did, hoping to get a reply from her.
“Sabrina?” I called, placing the fork on the plate. “What you did earlier on, I want us to talk about it.”
She scoffed, dropping her fork on the plate. “What else do you want to say, Amelia? I already told you that I have no time to exchange words with anyone. Can you just leave me alone?”
“No, I won’t leave you alone. And it is better we talk about it now. Today, you embarrassed me in front of the shareholders who have been doing all they could to respect me in this pack. Nevertheless, I will schedule the meeting tomorrow, and I want you to show up.”
She doesn't even have to be in her office before the meeting starts; I know how to handle everything tomorrow.
“I heard you,” she said. “Is that all? I'm so starving right now, and I need to eat before going to bed, she said. picked up the fuck but stopped and looked at me. “I don't know why you were acting that way, Amelia. I sent a message to the company that I wouldn't be coming back today.”
