Chapter 117 Untitled Chapter

Chapter 117 Untitled Chapter
“Allow me!” Amy snarled. Before I could say anything to her, she took full control of me and lunged at the demon king.

He didn't see that coming, as he was so busy making a huge dark fog to throw at me.

He let out a shriek as Amy yanked off his left hand. Dark blood was scattered all over the place, splashing on the wall, the floor, the bed, and also Amy’s face.

When he fell on the floor, she yanked off his other hand too, then his left leg and his right leg.

“What are you now?” She cracked up and spat out his blood on his face. “Between you and Amelia, who is now the strongest?”

“I am not done with you, demon.”

She jumped on him and embedded her fangs in his neck.

The demon king screamed and gradually turned into smoke, then the smoke withered away with the air. From a distance, shrieks filled the entire pack, and when Amy jumped towards the window, all the demons were fading away.

Unfortunately, the deed had already been done. They succeeded in killing a lot of my members.

“Amelia?” Has run in, panting heavily.

His gasp dropped when he saw the mess of the room.

“Are you hurt?” He hurried towards the window, breathing heavily. “Can you bring Amelia over?” he asked Amy, whose gaze was outside the window.

Amy ignored him as if she wasn't the one he was talking to. Amy was still angry over the whole thing, so she wouldn't pay attention to Hans.

“That’s enough; I will now come out.”

But that was the biggest mistake because I only worsened the situation and caused Amy to block the portal for me to jump out.

“What are you doing??”

“Not so fast, Amelia. Allow me to appreciate nature and receive fresh air. It has been so long since you let me out.”

“Not now, Amy. You can come out when everything is over. Right now, I need to go check the situation inside the pack.”

“Amy? What is going on?” Hans asked her, staring deep into her eyes like he was searching for a lost thing.

“Stop disturbing me, Amelia.”

She went down on her paws, purring.

This isn't right. Amy has never done this before. Is it because it has been a long time since he let her out?

“Get your head straight!” I thundered, startling her.

The portal got loosened the moment she got startled, and I used the opportunity to shift back.

“How dare you!” I scowled, getting up on my feet. “The next time you try this shit with me again, consider yourself a prisoner. I will blacklist you and won't ever allow you to shift.”

“I will get you a dress.” Hans hurried towards the closet while I stood there, looking around the room.

It had turned into a mess, and surprisingly, neither Matilda’s nor the demon king’s body was still there.

There were only ashes where their bodies had lain earlier.

“Put this on.” He passed me a simple peach gown. “I will wait for you outside.”

What's outside? That was funny.

There was no difference between the outside and inside the room anymore, as the door was already broken. Whoever was standing outside would see all the things inside the room.

”Alpha Amelia?”

General Lykon sighed deeply when we stopped the car on the street.

“We’ve lost a lot of our members.”

Yeah, I saw that. And seeing the bodies on the streets triggered my tear gland.

Have I failed this time around, too?

Why won't things just go the way I want them to? Why must terrible things always happen in my pack? Sighs.

“We will clear the whole place and repair all that needs to be repaired.”

“Do not worry,” I sighed, looking around. “I will fix the whole thing.”

A few weeks had passed already since the demon’s attack, and just as I'd always wanted, the pack had been so peaceful.

Except for the fact that some of the pack members were still blaming me for the death of their relatives.

They said all that wouldn't have happened if I believed Hans when he kept telling me that Matilda was a demon.

They were right, but also wrong. Believing Hans wouldn't change anything because Matilda never gave out the demon aura when she was with me.

She only did that when she was with Hans alone. How do they expect me to believe that someone who didn't smell like demons was one?

“That day, I wasn't with Matilda,” Hans chuckled as we strolled through the garden.

I paused, touching a rose flower. “Can we not talk about Matilda? I hate to remember all the things that have passed.”

“But I want to clear my name. This thing has been arguing heavily on my chest for the past weeks now, and if I don't say it out, it will keep disturbing me.”

Ahh! Wouldn't he just leave it alone?

“Go ahead.” I sighed and folded my arms.

“That day at the company, all you saw in my office was a hallucination. It was Matilda who did it, so you will…”

“I know,”

“You know?”

“Yes. I know a lot of things the demons can do.”

“Thank goodness!” He sighed in relief, patting his chest.

I don't know if it will happen in the future, but Hans cannot say all the things the fake Hans said that day in the office.

Had it been Hams, then I would have even bet with my life that he said it because that dude is a bastard.

“Speaking of Hams.”

Hans frowned, lifting his hand.

“Do not go there, please.”

“Hahaha. Really? Hasn't it been so long since you guys saw each other? You shouldn't consider visiting him soon.”

“There is no need,” he scoffed, stepping forward. “Hams will come down here anytime soon.”

Uhn?

Why would he come?

“Oh, it must be because of his almost-Luna, who got killed by the demons.”

“Yes,” Hans snapped his fingers and winked at me. “That. You don't know, but I have been feeling a lot heavier for days. I mean my heart. And that only means that Hams is heartbroken that his almost-Luna got killed.”

Wow! Hams finally gave his heart a chance to love for real? I don't believe that. He must have had another plan in his heart for the girl.

What am I even saying? Hams would do anything to get a way into this pack and do whatever he wants.

“So now, Amelia?” Hans paused, then he stepped in front of me and dropped his hands on my shoulders.

“When do you and I create time to finish what we started two months ago? I want to mark you already.”
