Chapter 55
Every time he used ‘th’ words, his tongue would glide beautifully over his perfect teeth and emit an adorable bit of air.
“What if I say yes now? What would happen?”
As if he was waiting for her to ask that, he chuckled softly and dropped his fork on the plate, making a clinking sound. He leans over the table. “I would fucking strip you off your clothes and touch you all over your entire body for the rest of the day. I love you but I don’t promise to go in and out of you gently because I am fucking attracted to you. So, careful what you wish for, my love.” He softly presses his lips to hers and moved back.
She swallowed hard, trying to remember how to breathe but failed. She was already warm between her legs and all she wanted was to rip the last piece of cloth off and lick him until he forgets his manners and awaken the beast. Yes, she wants to have the beast version of him. She wants to get laid with them form of him.
His phone chimed and he checked it. She could see the irritation washing over his face but he swiftly masked it up with a smile. He walks over the counter and stood behind her. She closed her eyes shut before he even touched her.
He plants a soft, intimate kiss on the back of her neck. He runs his hands slowly down her shoulders until he reaches her wrists. “I am not trying to seduce you.” It didn’t look like he wasn’t. He was doing exactly what he claims he wasn’t doing. He encircles her wrists with one hand and lifts them above her head. His whole body leans against hers as he begins to kiss her neck and shoulders. “Would you like me seduce you?”
Her eyes were still closed as he wanders his hands over her body. Her chest was heaving up and down and all she could think of was being under him, having the severest and fieriest make out session.
His phone chimed again and he grunts softly. He helped her up, making her to face him. He wraps his arms over her shoulders, looking down at her. “There’s an emergency I have to take care of right now. But I promise to be back in an hour and take you out on a tour. Would you wait for me?” She saw the hopes in his eyes and he looked adorable waiting to hear her say yes.
She nods her head. “Don’t stay long.”
He smiled at her and nodded. “I won’t.”
He frees her from his hold and left her there standing in her pool of desire. She falls back on the stool as she tried to catch every breath Hunter had taken away from her. She squeezed her chest, wondering how she was ever even going to reject this man when he official ask her to marry him within months. She doesn’t know when would that be but every time he looks at her, it was as though he was going to get on one knee and give her a ring. She’d gladly take the ring because she sees a bright future, a happy ending with him.
He just kissed her goodbye and stepped out. He felt like he had revived this part of his life—kissing her and promising to be back at a certain time of the day. He winced, having a flash back of four years ago. The day he last saw his family, alive. The day he lost everything, including his confidence. But Elise has brought that back to him. She has brought most of his life back to him. Just one more thing he needs from her and she’d proven to him she’s willing to give him despite how risky it was.
He picked up his pace to the gates not because Zack kept texting him, but because he left her at home, alone and promised to be back in an hour. Whatever the emergency was, he has to fix it within an hour and return home to her.
The uneasiness he felt leaving her home alone weighed him down from walking fast. He looked back, feeling the urge to just turn around and return home. The feeling of losing her terrifies him more than it should. Because, he knew if he loses her—that would completely be the end of his side of happiness. That would be the end of him completely.
It took him so long to gain her trust and her love, though he wasn’t sure if she loved him yet but she let him into her room and let him kiss her without being afraid of what could’ve happened after that kiss. She agreed to be his mate and followed him home—maybe that wasn’t even an ounce of her showing him love but to him, it is everything. She is everything.
He heard the distinct dispute just as he approached the gates. This wasn’t a new thing, hearing omegas arguing among each other and he has to come in and judge if it gets out of hand.
Zack almost jumped in relief as he hurriedly walked over to Hunter. “Master…” here he goes again. Zack just called him master. How bad is it?
“Is it that bad?” Hunter walked past him and halted midway at the sight of the young man blabbering curses to his gate keepers. “You have got to be kidding me,” Hunter mumbled under his breath.
He stopped fighting for his freedom from the hands of Hunter’s pack warriors when his eyes locked with Hunters’. “You piece of shit.” He threw those words at Hunter who didn’t bother to budge or get offended by the words. What concerns him is how he found where he lives. How did he discover his territory. This is a huge threat. He is a huge threat.
“I’m going to ask my warriors to let go of you so we could talk. If you try something stupid, you will be dealt with.” Hunter raised his brows at him and when he heaved a sigh, he knew that was a yes. He gestured to them and they set him free.
“Where the fuck is she? You have her locked up in your tall tower and forcing yourself on her like you do to your mates, huh?” He was standing tall before Hunter, their face just inches away from touching.
Hunter smirked. He knew this was going to happen. He knew Ethan was coming sooner or later. He just didn’t know Ethan was that stupid enough to actually come here blabbering crap and acting up. If he wouldn’t have shown up any minute, Ethan would’ve been dead by now. His pack warriors do not take outsiders lightly after what happened the Scuris pack. They would’ve slit his neck open because he’s a threat to their home.
“Ethan, I’m going to ask you to fucking get your face out of mine before I leave you to them. Believe me, you’d not want to be left alone with them,” he said gesturing to the two big men waiting for orders from their master.
Ethan reluctantly shifts back, nose flaring with anger.
“And who exactly are you talking about, because for all I know, I do not have anyone held in captivation here in my pack. Everyone is living by their will here as you can see.” He shifts away so Ethan could see how everyone were walking around with smiles on their face and going about with their daily routine.
“You fucking know who I am talking about. My girlfriend, Elise. I went to her home just to find out that you have her. Where is she? I am not leaving here without her.” He affirmed, taking another step closer to Hunter.
Hunter breathes out gently as he rubbed his temple. He didn’t want to spend another minute here exchanging words with Ethan.
“Are you seriously talking about the girl you neglected, the girl you ghosted? The same girl that’s now moving on from the way you mistreated her? No, no you are not going to see her, Ethan. Because you are an acrimony to her. You are a poison and I will not let you come near her, I will not let you hurt her anymore.”
Anger curled hot and unstoppable in Ethan’s gut, like a blazing inferno that wanted to burn him from the inside out. He clenched his fist angrily as his eyes narrowed. The only thing stopping him from attacking Hunter was his warriors. It was five of them against him and he would make it for difficult for him to see her.
“I want to see her.”
“She doesn’t want to see you.”
Ethan sent a dagger Hunter’s way. He was running out of patience and all he wanted to do was avenge. Hunter has somehow found a way and poisoned her mind, now he was afraid he is too late. He might’ve lost her. Or Hunter was lying to him—he had her captured in his possession and forcing her to do as he pleases.
