Chapter 48

Dominic POV

It was clear as day that Malcolm suspected me and I knew that it was only a matter of time till he struck with his evidence and he wasn't the type of person to take down easily. To take him down you will need to remove Hudson, which is practically impossible to do.

This became a task that I couldn't find a way to tackle all alone, I knew that I needed help winning this fight but I didn't know how to ask for help.

All my options were dim and it was clear that he was not going to stop until he had a clear answer to all his questions. I tried to make him leave it alone but he didn't want to let it go and insisted that he would find out why or how the rogues were able to break into the pack without us noticing.

“If he should keep this up, I don't know how long I will be able to cover it up. I know that this can't be the end of all my plans for me. I know that this is going to be hard to do all alone. Even talking to him to stop will bring up the weirdest of all suspicions.

I need to find a way to make him keep quiet, I will find a way to make him quiet and I will be sure that he stays quiet. I don't know how I am going to do it but I will try.”

I found myself making plans to take him down all alone, I knew I needed help. I needed the only person who could understand me, it was clear that I was going to talk to Alicia.

I wanted her to come back and spend some time here with me so that I could think of a way to make sure that Malcolm didn't come close to making our plans fail.

I know that Malcolm was someone who could make that happen and that was why I needed to make sure that I didn't give the chance to do that. I remembered that I had sent the rogue wolves to kill Katrina.

I couldn't help but think if they had really done it, I know that it would have been an easy task if they had made sure that Hudson was separated from her. The only problem they would have is if they left what they were meant to do and then tried to do something else.

I just know that there were two things that could have happened, it was either that they had killed Katrina with no difficulty or they faced Hudson and failed.

“Seriously, they better be smart enough to kill her if they get the chance. I don't want slip-ups, this should be easy.”

Someone had stopped by the door, I didn't know who but it seemed someone was eavesdropping on me, I knew that if I made mistakes the person there would know that I had found out about his presence.

I wanted to see who it was and also know why he or she was standing there. Immediately I got up it was like the person vanished, I walked out to see if I would see any trace of someone there.

But the person, whoever it was, hid his presence. I couldn't see anything that would lead me to the said person. I knew that there was someone there and I was sure that he was trying to learn something from standing there.

“Something is not right, I have to be sure that this person doesn't make my plans hard for me. Being all quiet and mysterious, I suspect that this person is working with Malcolm. This is getting serious, he could send a spy to gather information.

I know that he is trying to make sure that the pack doesn't fall or get hurt but this is now extreme. I will have to find a way to make sure that he doesn't find anything to use against me.

I know that it's going to be hard but I will be sure to hide all the traces that would make my plan fail. I need to be sure that he can't make me angry or anything.”

I felt someone's presence, this one felt too familiar. I knew who it was, I smiled knowing that she was already here. I had called her earlier but I didn't know that she would show up so quickly.

She stood by the door looking at me, I just could not help but admire her. She was my everything in the whole world, I knew that we were meant to be with each other. It was a fact written under the moon.

“The next time you call me out of the blue I will be sure to make your life miserable, you always call out of the blue, and then when I get here it will look like you do not even have a problem.” She began walking close to me, Alicia was really different from Katrina.

She had everything Katrina didn't have, she had the brains and style. And if I must say she really knew how to make a man want her.

“We both know that you can't do that if you do then who would you go to when you need someone to talk to.” I teased her, she smiled and bent over to look me in the eye directly.

“I have many friends and you're not the only person I know, so don't think you're that special. Because you're not.” I didn't let her finish talking. I went for a kiss, and I made sure I tasted her entire mouth.

I couldn't help myself, being close to her drove me crazy, I wanted to have her all to myself and I wanted to be sure that she would make it easy for me to get her.

We broke from the kiss, our eyes were locked on each other, she bit her lip and smiled. “Well, someone missed me. So why did you call?”

She asked looking into my eyes, I knew that she would find out that I missed her immediately I began kissing her.

“Well, we have a problem.” Her eyes grew wide when she heard me say that, I knew she was about to ask a question that was the obvious one.

“Katrina is not dead?” She thought that was the problem but then it was not the issue, I knew that would be a problem. But that would be a problem if she wasn't dead yet.

“No, I haven't gotten word about that. The problem is elder Malcolm. He suspects me of the attacks in the pack, I don't know how I am going to remove him from my trail.” I looked around the room, I didn't know what I was going to do.

“Hmm, I don't know what I am going to say. But there is only one thing good enough to suggest, why don't we unalive him? That should be the best solution to this problem.” She looked at me, I knew that she didn't know that it was a hard task killing Malcolm.

“Even if I decided to do that it would be hard, you see just like Hudson he is from a special grade of wolves. He is strong and he would cause a problem if he got into a fight with me.” I was trying to match up the words and reality of things.

“Wait you would win,” She asked looking at me, with a little bit of hope in her eyes, I knew that she thought it was all the fights that I could win. Because I was the said Alpha, but I was merely a beta that worked his way up to the ranks.

“I would win, but it would be at the cost of a limb. You see Malcolm is not just an Elder, he is one of the fine candidates that was meant to be an Alpha. But he didn't want the attention and pains that come from being an Alpha, instead, he chose to be an Elder and would be sure to guide the pack from behind the scenes.

He can't be killed and if he is killed wrongly the Supreme Council will find out what killed him and they will be sure to fish out every suspect and make sure that he gets the Justice he needs.” I turned to see her confused face, I knew that she didn't know all this.

She was finding it hard to make something out of, was it possible everything I was saying. She was trying to see if it was possible.

“I don't yet understand how he can be that strong, he is but a mere elder. But if you say so then we need to make a plan to take him down.” she was right about this, we needed a plan to take him down.

“I know, but it won't be easy.”
