Chapter 86: Spell bound Jess pov
"What do you think you'd like to wear to the meeting, babe." I asked the man who sat in front of me. Finally, he was mine. No one else, I was dominating his thoughts and his priorities.
After that night, I had gotten my success. Nina wasn't the queen of his heart anymore, I had become the one and the only. I walked out of the room to leave him to dress while I went around to inspect the pack house. Everything was going through a renovation I was holding by my own will. It wasn't like I didn't fancy the past, but I had a different taste in things and Kayden had of course, approved of it.
I met Nina on my way out, there was no interaction between two of us. She simply stared and passed. I guessed she must have gotten the memo that I was now in control. Either that or she was still stuck up with the sister ideology and jargon I had filled her head with.
I walked away and went to check on the newly appointed set of guards and servants. They were secretly people I knew and trusted.
The plan had not only been for me to infiltrate and win Kayden over only. I was going to take up everything he had. I would bring him down and fill him up with myself bother virtually and literally.
The pack was already facing the wrath of my decisions after I had gotten everyone taxed for my beautification and frivolous spendings. I was both the ideal and the worst partner. I didn't allow him squander for me, i allowed the people squander on my behalf and watched them grumble about the situation of things in the pack.
I checked on everyone which was a routine for me and after that, I went back to go meet him. We were going out for a meeting. He was creating alliances and his mind was still focused on the war but he would be having me by his side consistently.
I went to the room which we both shared and changed into something more appealing for him to gawk at and for the world to admire. I had to seduce him mentally and with my powers to make sure that he wouldn't fall out of my trap. He was my prey and I was the predator.
The only problem that lied in the relationship was finally getting my mother to live in the pack lands too. I had thought about it only a few times. I wouldn't be found bothering myself over someone who would be a disturbance to my mental health. I was going to enjoy for a while.
She had called a few times to explain the issues with where she stayed and come up with her usual manipulation. What did I care about all that drama? I cared less. Life was mine and it would always be with the alpha under my fingers.
"Honey, shall we go now?" I called out to him from inside the room where I had finished dressing. I came out to let him marvel at how beautiful I looked. The more time I could keep up with the attraction, I was sure to always have him for a while.
I looked at him open his mouth, he was shocked.
"You look fabulous. I doubt there's a luckier alpha out there!" He exclaimed.
I smiled, I was getting attracted already and had found myself needing his word of reassurances sometimes. I swirled around and he led me out where we would be taking one of the vehicles to visit a pack close to us. They had wanted to discuss the issues Kayden had brought up to them.
He had gone through me first with everything and I was his right and left, his wrong and right. We strolled out and I saw Nina from afar. It was either she had not seen us or she decided she wouldn't pay any attention to the two of us. I wasn't bothered. I cared less.
We entered the vehicle and the driver drove away. I was getting exposed to more than I bargained, I thought about it. It wasn't the life I was expecting for myself. I never imagined I would be Luna or responsible for a large pack, but the more my escapades continued, the more I was enticed by the lifestyle.
I wanted to rule , I wanted everyone else to know me and feel my wrath whenever I was angry and my blessings whenever I felt happier. It was different acting as a Luna and I never wanted it to end.
I grabbed Kayden hand that had been on his lap for sometime. "I love you very much." I told him.
He smiled back, " I love you too."
The driver constantly glanced at us from the mirror. He had made himself a target. I would definitely be firing poke nosers. When he found me glaring at him, he adjusted his stuff and looked elsewhere.
We had left our territory in no time and were on our way to the other alpha's domain. It was the pack of Silver Warriors. They were known for their long history of power and multiple won battles that they had been in.
They were a perfect fit for the bear shifters Alex was constantly paranoid about. If I had not been experiencing things with them while the pack house had been getting constantly infiltrated, I'd have thought Kayden was oblivious to reality already.
Truly, somehow they had managed to leave and not attacking anymore. Almost like they took a break. No battle had been drawn and everything was peaceful for a bit.
"But we have to be prepared." Kayden would constantly iterate whenever I asked why he worried so much. It was him. That was who he was. Always prepared, but he was never prepared for what I pulled on him. He didn't see me coming.
