Chapter 109 I Want to Go Home
Her hand flew up instinctively to cover her mouth, to muffle the sounds threatening to spill out.
Alexander was faster. He caught her wrist before she could, pinning it alongside the other, both hands trapped in his grip.
Then he changed the rhythm--faster, harder.
Caroline bit down on her lip. It didn't help. A low moan escaped anyway, broken and helpless.
"Don't... stop..."
Her body was spiraling out of control. Each wave stronger than the last. Sweat beaded at her temples. She gasped for breath, her voice turning into pleas.
Deep in her belly, muscles tightened in rapid succession. The rhythm built faster and faster.
Alexander didn't stop.
He looked down at her, his gaze holding her as firmly as his hands. His fingers moved with brutal precision.
Finally, Caroline couldn't hold back. Her head tipped back, and a sharp cry tore from her throat.
A rush of wetness followed.
Caroline froze, panic flooding her.
What was happening to her? Was something wrong with her body?
Alexander's tip pressed against her entrance again.
"Now you're ready."
Her breath caught in her throat, her heartbeat racing. Every nerve in her body seemed to reach for him.
He pushed inside. There was no pain--not like she'd expected.
Instead, in the wake of that shattering climax, her oversensitized nerves made her gasp again. He brushed against some impossibly tender spot inside her, making her shudder.
He began to move--rough, not gentle. But there was no discomfort, only dizzying, overwhelming pleasure that threatened to pull her under.
Every coherent thought snapped away, leaving only sensation--pure and consuming.
At first, Caroline tried to stay quiet, biting back the sounds out of embarrassment. But she lost quickly. High, broken moans escaped her lips, one after another.
Alexander seemed to respond to them. Each sound drove him harder, deeper.
Caroline felt like her bones might shatter.
Then, just as another wave of pleasure hit her so hard her scalp tingled, a knock came at the door.
Her body went rigid. She bit down hard on her lip.
Kenna's voice called from outside. "Mr. Hamilton, are you in there? Your phone is ringing."
Alexander didn't answer. He gripped her waist tighter and thrust again, forcing a fractured gasp from her throat. Her eyes stung with tears of panic.
"Alexander, you have a call!"
She whispered urgently, trying to get his attention.
"Ma'am, are you finished with your bath? Is Mr. Hamilton in there?" Kenna called again.
Caroline's nerves stretched to the breaking point.
The bathroom door had never been closed after Alexander barged in. If Kenna walked in now, she'd see everything.
"You... don't--" Caroline whispered, but he drove into her harder.
The voice outside went quiet.
Caroline squeezed her eyes shut, mortified.
Kenna had heard.
Only then did Alexander release her hands. He pulled out and walked to the door.
He opened it just a crack. His hand, still wet, reached through. Kenna's stomach dropped at the sight.
She shoved the still-vibrating phone into his palm. The door slammed shut immediately.
Clearly, he was furious about the interruption.
Alexander stared at the number flashing on the screen, jaw tight.
After a beat, he answered.
"Yeah." His voice was cold, flat.
Isabella's voice came sharp with anger. "Alexander, what the hell is wrong with you? You locked Celeste in that apartment because of that woman?"
"She chose to stay there herself." His tone was ice.
"Liar!" Isabella spat. "Don't think I don't know you're protecting Caroline! How can you face Edith? You're locking my daughter up for her sake!"
"Your daughter?" Alexander's laugh was humorless. "I think you're confused, ma'am."
He glanced toward the bathroom, then pulled the door almost closed, lowering his voice.
"After all these years of Celeste playing happy family with you two, I suppose you've all forgotten about Edith."
"Alexander! How dare you? When Edith went to the docks, didn't you have any responsibility?"
"Shut up." His voice turned to steel. "I'm not talking about Edith with you. I'll tell you this once--whatever Celeste's reason for coming to Ravenwood Manor, she trespassed. She entered a place I explicitly forbade her to go."
Isabella went silent.
Behind him, the bathroom door opened softly. Alexander's eyes flicked to the side. Caroline was wrapped in a towel, tiptoeing out like a nervous animal.
His breath caught. He moved toward her.
The phone was passed to Celeste. Her voice came through, thick with tears. "Alex, I know I was wrong. Please forgive me. Don't keep me locked up here. I want to come home..."
Alexander listened in silence. The moment Caroline climbed onto the bed, he yanked the towel off her.
She whipped around in alarm. He pressed a hand to her waist.
His palm slid along her curves, pushing her down until she was on all fours. He knelt behind her, nudging her thighs apart with his knee.
He leaned over her, one arm wrapping beneath her to support her lower belly. Then he pushed inside her again.
"Do what you want."
He bit out the words and hung up.
On the other end, Celeste stood frozen. The dial tone buzzed in her ear. She didn't lower the phone.
What had she just heard?
There'd been a woman's voice--breathing, moaning.
Alexander was at Ravenwood Manor. The only woman living there was Caroline.
No. It didn't have to be her. Maybe it was a maid. Or maybe Alexander was watching something. Maybe she'd misheard.
Celeste scrambled for excuses in her mind.
None of them felt true.
She screamed and hurled the phone at the floor.
