Chapter 87: Revealing The Problem

''Oliver... But...'' Cypher tried to cajole the young Alpha to accept her as a caretaker.

''I'll leave you two to sort things out...'' The doctor said with a light bow and left.

''What are you doing here? How many times would I tell you to stay away from me?'' Alpha Oliver asked Cypher staring at her wickedly.

''Nobody was by your side, and you need someone to directly look after you, so I decided to show up for you.'' Cypher's voice quivered as she spoke.

Alpha Oliver stared at Cypher and remembered that he had to ask her about what happened to Eidenel in the dungeon before he asked the Dragon King to take her. He remembered that Eidenel was poisoned.

Suddenly, Alpha Oliver held Cypher's neck and started to strangle her.

''Oliver!'' Cypher squeaked and stared at Alpha Oliver with dread in her eyes.

Was he trying to kill her.

''If you want me to let go of you, you had better tell me the truth.''

Cypher nodded frantically after Alpha Oliver said what he said.

''Did you poison Eidenel when she was in the dungeon?'' Alpha Oliver asked.

Instead of Cypher to say something, she just stood there, squirming under the mercy of the Alpha.

''Answer me.'' Alpha Oliver shook Cypher indiscriminately.

''Answer me if you don't want to die.''

Cypher nodded.

''Yes...'' her voice sounded like a hose with excess air in it.

Contrary to what Alpha Oliver promised, his grip only became heavier on Cypher's neck and her face started to turn purple as oxygen ceased to enter her lungs.

''Alpha! You will kill her!'' If not for the fact that the doctor happened to enter the ward at the time, Alpha Oliver wouldn't have let go of Cypher's neck, and she would have died.

''Get this filth out of here.'' Alpha Oliver barked and growled at Cypher who did not need anyone to tell her to run away.

In the twinkle of an eye, Cypher had left the ward, running away for her dear life.

The doctor was shocked. Even if it was a lie that Cypher was Alpha Oliver's girlfriend, she didn't deserve to be strangled nearly to death, did she?

''Alpha. I hope everything is okay?'' The doctor was concerned.

Alpha Oliver didn't say anything, instead, he was panting hard as he looked at the doctor.

''A lot of wolves are missing, Alpha. Your father is one of them as well as other wolves. Daryl is gone. His family were here a couple of days ago for treatment because his mate lost connection with him and the mate bond is getting the best of her negatively. His children have all become thin for lack of food. A lot needs to be dealt with. The pack needs an answer. Something heavy is going on, and the majority of the pack members are not aware.'' The doctor said all this to Alpha Oliver because, indeed, it was time for an answer.

Alpha Oliver had listened to the pack's doctor and heaved a deep and tired breath.

''Daryl is dead.'' Alpha Oliver wasted no time in revealing the truth to the doctor.

''What?!'' The doctor was taken aback.

''My father is locked up in the Dragon Kingdom.'' Alpha Oliver was breaking the news bit by bit to the doctor.

At that point, the doctor had to take a seat because the news that he was hearing was getting too heavy for him.

''Your father?'' The doctor asked.

Alpha Oliver nodded.

''The remaining four missing wolves are also under arrest in the Dragon Kingdom.'' Alpha Oliver concluded and landed back on his hospital bed, tired and exhausted as he thought of what was going on around him, and what to do about it.

''It was all Daryl's fault. He just won't take it easy all because of a curse that he thinks is being carried by my mate, the girl that ran away because her hoof was spotted to be red.'' Alpha Oliver complained.

''Oh. Eidenel! I know her. Poor girl. I have always known Eidenel and her guardian, they were a nice pair. I was so shocked and felt so bad to hear that she carried the curse based on the prophecy. I wish we all gave her a chance.'' The doctor was regretful.

''We all let Eidenel down, myself included because I was listening to Daryl at first until I realized that she was my mate. I was blinded by Daryl's claims.'' Alpha Oliver's blood pressure started to increase again.

''Alpha, you have to take it easy. Your health has drastically detoriorated. You need to calm down.'' The doctor told Alpha Oliver as he set up apparatus to curb the Alpha's pressure.

''Daryl brought this on us. Daryl has ruined this pack, and guess what? He is not here to fix what he helped to spoil just because of a curse that I don't see happening.'' Alpha Oliver continued to complain.

''So, where is Eidenel now?'' The doctor asked.

''Blackhouse has her.'' Alpha Oliver eyed the doctor, wondering if he knew who Blackhouse was.

''Blackhouse, Blackhouse. That name sounds familiar.'' The doctor appeared to be thinking about the name.

''It's the Vampire King.'' Alpha Oliver heaved. The thought of Eidenel being intimate with the Vampire King made him nearly lose his mind.

The doctor's eyes shone in shock.

''Ibeg your pardon? Did he kidnap her from you? Why does he have her? What is the relationship between both of them?'' Questions flowed out of the lips of the doctor.

''Don't you know what The Prophecy says? The chosen she-wolf woild have three suitors. So? I'm Eidenel's mate, but so is the Dragon King, and of course, your guess by now is right. Blackhouse also lays a claim to her and has defeated the Dragon King and I and taken her for himself.'' Alpha Oliver said warily.

''I see what all the fuss is about now. So, there has been a subtle war between the pack and the other kingdoms.''

Alpha Oliver nodded.

''Infact, the pack is lucky that the war has never been brought here. You should witness what has been going on in the Dragon and Vampire Kingdoms. In fact, the Dragon Kingdom is in ruins as we speak.''
