Deep inside the halls Harris was being followed by a horde the walls had trued form off yellow sand to the light grey. He was racing away sending arrows shooting back. Everything they threw at him hit his amour and dropped to the floor, inside he found the corridors tight and hard to speed up in. Coming around a bend he found there where more of them inside, he pulled out two arrows form his quiver and ran right for them thrusting the arrow heads in to any exposed part of the body and yanking them out again, with blood spewing out with every hit the bodies dropped but he was far form safe, as the many hits that came towards him came at his legs and hooves, they where the most exposed part of his body, he struggled on and anyone on the floor got trampled as he tried to escape. Soon he managed to loose them, all be it bloody and wounded but he was still able to soldier on.
Blair had a lot of magic but her strongest was her portal magic, as she was chased down the hall she ran in to a dead end. Turning around she found she was cornered, she held them off using her magic, as they cam racing at her she took step froward and as they almost reached her two portals opened either side of her, and as they went in one they came out the other and smashed in to the wall. Some stopped as they saw what the one s in the front had fallen for, so she moved the portal towards them and as they it passed though then she cut it of cutting them in half. The one s further back didn t stand a chance as she then opened another two above and beneath them before changing their drop to be at a Volcano. With them all taken care of she she stepped around the bend to see their where still many more, this time she broke out her physical magic and bean to throw them around as if they where leaves in a gale force wind. As they where forced in to walls and each other with such great force their body s where crushed and meshed together. Blair thought she had won, but one of ones that had hit the wall earlier was coming back around and was holding a harpoon, with one well timed throw it went straight through her ankle dropping her to the floor. Screaming in pain she was still bale to conjure up magic and in a fit of anger she crushed their wind pipe and then through then though a portal, before sending the rest of them thought as well.
Harris who was lost heard the screams and with out a seconds notice turned and ran to the sound of the scream, he used himself as a battling ram to push though all those who stood in his way only getting more damaged in the process. He soon came to a stop when he found Blair bleeding out on the ground, he dropped down to her aid looking at her wound.
"What are you doing?" she asked.
"Your going to bleed out." he said looking at her leg.
"I ll live." she insisted.
"No I can fix it, but we have to take out the harpoon first."
Blair shut her eyes, as Harris looked at the harpoon, the tip had only just gone though, with the top being wider then the hole it had made, meant it would have to be pushed thought form the other side, where the wooden pole still sticking out of Blair s leg. He closed his eyes as he reached over and pushed the pole though enough to grip it on the other side. Blair screamed in pain as the the cracked bone and mussel tissue in her leg was moved with the pole letting more oozing blood to drip out on to the floor.
"Okay this will only take one sharp pull." he said tacking hold of the bloody harpoon.
"Are you sure?" she asked seething in pain.
"No." he replied yanking the harpoon.
More screams echoed around, but the pole was almost free as the entrance wound was clear, but the exit would still had the pole inside. Pulling the last bit out the blood was now just pumping out with every beat of the heart.
"I think you made it worse." panicked Blair feeling weak.
"Hold on." said Harris.
A green glow emanated form his hand as he held it up to the clear hole in her leg.
"Your have magic?" she said, shocked by the fact.
"All Senator s have healing magic, we call it medic magic." a red glow came form the wound as new skin formed over it keeping more blood form escaping. "It needs time to heal, but you can t walk on it for at least a few days."
"How can I get around."
"You ll have to ride me, I suppose." he said reluctantly.
"What here, were in a battle." smiled Blair.
Harris heard the line they had joked about for years and realised why he had fallen if love with her in the first place, standing up he helped her on to his back.
"We should be stronger together then apart." said Blair.
"United we stand together we fall." smiled Harris.
"United we stand, divided we fall." chanted Necro, as he sat squatted behind a wall as bombardment of arrows, spears and harpoons flew towards him.
At the T junction he and lady looked down the hallway that sprouted of where the hoard was waiting for them. Each at opposing ends the two had little chance to fight back with everything that was being thrown that them.
"Can t you do something?" asked Lady.
"No." he grunted as arrow came close. "Not with out some kind of clearing."
"How do we do that."
"You need to kill one of them."
"What!"
"Just one."
"I can t.
"You did it at the arena, do it again."
"How?"
Necro took in deep breath. "You need to hold the person in your mind, it does not need to be a face just a person, know their location ounce your managed to find them just think of them as dead, just let them go as if they never existed."
Lady s mind went over load as she tried to lock on to one of the people in the hall, it took a wile for her to single out one, ounce she had all it took was a single thought and he was gone like he was never there.
"That s it, now we can move on." said Necro.
A large rock grew in to the space to fit in between the walls forming a wall at the junction. The hoard on the other side looked back as another one formed and cam at then with great speed. On the other side Necro cam out of hiding and stood behind the rock, as the screams of on the other side sounded of and where plunged in to silence.
"Wait, why did you need the opening?" she asked. "Couldn't you have done that anyway."
"Yes." he said as the rock vanished revealing the crushed remains of the group.
"So why make me kill one."
"You need to learn, and your not even trying." he said "And you can t just cower and hide like your are a nothing."
When the words left his mouth he was gone, Lady in her anger had killed him, but as she realised what she had done, the panic swept over her and she brought him back just the same.
"That s what that feels like." he commented looking around.
"I m sorry." she panicked.
"Don t." he said. "You need to accept and embrace your powers, you have to be willing to be okay with who you are and stop caring about the life's you take,"
"What." she gasped "Is that what happened to you, you stopped caring."
"No, I never cared." he said as he walked over the corpses of his most recent mass murder." I lost my faith in humanity a long time ago, that s how I ve been able to slaughter children and infants, and kill with out remorse. That s how you deal with killing hundreds of people you just see them as nothing, that s how you live as Necromancer."
"Who are you?" she said backing away.
"The person who you loved for years due to a bound, the man who took in dragon born and taught her to use her powers after it almost killed her, the soul saviour the old Necromancers. The same person who stands before you, I am who I ve always been."
Her mind cleared. "Your laying." she said.
"It s not all true."
"Why do you keep doing this." she said following him.
"Doing what."
"Laying."
He just walked on, Lady followed him
"I will tell you this and it s the truth, if you never learn to let your power be part of you and try and control it out of fear of what your power will do to hurt others, then your be will be a slave to your own fear, like every other Necromancer."
"What do you mean."
"Everyone sees Necromancy as dominion over death, but it s not you share in his power, but it s when you expect that death is part of out existence and can t be controlled like other magic, that you will be bale to let it be one with you and feel it s true power."
"You keep saying that but, what s wrong with the other way."
"You will only see it as way to get your way not as what it is."
"And what s that."
"That death is the only constant." he said "The thing that is guaranteed to happen is death."
"Is that it, is that how your able to do every you have done!" she scolded.
"No, I can kill like I do, because all magic is cable of death, it s just have to use it in that way!" he snapped and marched off leaving her behind.
Deep in the halls Nova was walking alone, her dragon amour was a perfect fit in her human form. Those who stood in her way where flung to the side with air then implied on spikes she summoned form the ground, no one stood a chance. As she moved deeper in maze she felt the power and strength her magic held over others as she was able to kill with out a thought. For the first time it felt good, every time she block ranged attacks or cut though their scale amour with her dragon scale sword, she felt powerful, as she was using her power on weaker foe. As she came to a group that have metal shields with small holes to see thought she smiled as she breathed down her magic fire as the metal heated up the shields where dropped and the metal melted away. They turned to run but fire came in from all sides, and they are cooked alive, the feeling it give her only fuelled her to kill more of them. As she came to another group they charge but she let them come only to have them be frozen still, to then smash then in to each other. Shattering them in to piles of snow and ice on the floor, a few are left and she just let out mist that entered their bodies and cut of their oxygen, making them drop coking to the floor as they passed away. One, a saviour backed up to a door and began begging for mercy.
"Please now, I have a family." they pleaded.
Nova stops "What about the family's of the dragons you killed and slayed."
Nova covers him in a block of ice as she then congers a nasty parasite that burrows in to the victims head though the ear and dissolves their blood. The maggot like creature with it s large acid spewing pincers melted the ice and burrowed in to his ear. Nova was bale to watch as his body slowly deflated and dissolve away. The acid melted the ice and so Nova throw air at it as it went all over the door and fizzled away, but the acid also ate at the doors hinges and as they broke off the door fell in to the dark room. Peering in to the darkness Nova stepped in and was shocked at what she saw, the magic orbs used to take the Dragons magic all gathered in this one room. Seeing it go on for some time she looked both ways to see that their was almost no end to how much magic the room had contained. This would give her all the power she needed to ensure the worlds safety, but as she reached out to take one she saw her refection in the orb and as she saw it they released that if she started to go after more power, she would start getting it from other beings like the dragon hunters.
"No." she insisted backing away.
Refusing to give in to her power lust she refused even the thought of it, was enough to make think twice, but as she backed up she didn t see the man approach from behind her.
At a cross road the two groups met up, Blair hoped down using Harris to stay upright.
"What happened?" asked Lady.
"Are you all right?" added Necro.
"I m fine." said Blair.
"How about you two?" wondered Harris.
"Fine, wait has anyone seen Nova?" thought Necro.
"No." said Blair.
"She can handle her self." said Harris. "
just like you two can I see." Necro commented taking in the two seemed worse for where
"And what about you two?" Harris argued back.
"What does hat mean."
"You two partnered up."
"Shut up the two of you!" shouted Blair.
The two looked to see that more of them where coming this time they had more then weapons, they had magic.
"RUN!" shouted Necro as he sent out a ball of flame and earth towards them, Lady helped Blair as they made an exit. Harris turned and sprinted only looking back to see if Blair was safe, and Necro turned and fled but as he was about to take a third exit a wall blocked his path and he dived down the same hall as Harris, this was going to be tough.
