It had been a long day and Necro had been looking in to all possibility s of the book s location and coming up empty, Necro was tried and was getting ready to sleep. He looked in the mirror as he thought about that what he had done the mountain and the choice he had made. He was about to sleep when a knock came form the door, he looked over to hear it come again. He walked over to the door and opened it to see Blair standing in the door way.
"We need to talk." she said as she pushed past him.
Closing the he followed her over as she sat on the bed.
"You know I m here for you all, after what you ve done for me, I can ask no more of you." he said sitting beside her.
"That s the thing." she sighed "The secret is driving a wedge between me and Harris."
"I spoke to him." said Necro. "I hope he ll come round."
"Thank you." she said hugging him.
As she had wrapped her arms around him Harris was walking looking for Blair, when he heard her voice.
"I can t thank you enough." she said as she kissed him on the cheek.
Necro juts watched her off as he fell back on his bed.
Out side in the hall Blair ran in to Harris.
"What was that?" he asked.
"I thought Necro talked to you." said Blair trying to clam him down.
"He did and know your kissing him."
"It s not like that."
"So tell me why your in his room."
"I, um."
"Oh this still about what happened on the mountain," he snapped "That s it you can sleep with him tonight."
"Harris wait." called Blair.
But he was already gone.
"Blair I m sorry." apologised Necro, he had heard all and was by the door.
Blair came slowly in and sat back down with Necro joining her.
"I don t suppose you ll mind?" she asked.
"No, I don t sleep well on the bed, I have my own way of doing it." he said.
Blair watched as he got off the bed bent down and pulled out a large pile of gold form underneath the bed on a rug.
"I tend to sleep as a dragon." he said as he transformed before laying down on the bed of gold.
Blair smiled as she lay in the bed alone, the two started to drift off.
In the conjoined room Lady was getting a handle on her new magic.
"Okay so what s next?" she asked Kyle.
"We need a brake." he said sitting down.
"But what happens if use it by accident."
"You have your powers under control, and you have mastered the basic elements, you are not going to be killing anyone soon, but we need to rest."
"Your right." she said picking up the book.
"Before you do go to sleep." said Kyle. "That book is it?"
"It s nothing that you need to worry about." said Lady, snapping it up.
"Okay, but I do ave another question."
"Yes."
"You ve told me that you and Necro split up, what else has happened since I ve been gone."
Lady thought about every that has happened and she had recounted most of it to death.
"You don t have to tell me." he said. "But are you sure Necro and you still don t have feelings for each other?"
Lady s mined changed to the thoughts he had been having about Necro.
"Why would you need me to teach you, if you didn t care for him you would have even bother to think about how he might feel."
Lady was left with that thought on her mind as Kyle left to find Bella. As her mind went over it again and again, soon she found her self pacing looking at he door that lead to his room. As the thought kept crossing her mind she kept wanting to huddle up with him on the pile of gold. Soon her brain had enough and she opened the door to see Neco on the pile of gold and Blair in her place. She closed the door and turned around and climbed in to her own bed.
Kyle was wondering though the castle and as he came down to a familiar room he paused, looking at the door he questioned if he should open it. But before he was able to make up his own mind it was opened for him. Standing in the door way was his mother.
"Kyle." she gasped "How."
"Lady brought me back." he said.
"What do you mean."
"She has Necromancy know, I can t explain it."
"How did she bring you back." she said taking him inside the room.
"She was using a book."
"She s the thief." she exclaimed.
"What do you mean."
"The book I kept at the vault was stolen, and we ve been looking for it and has been using it to try and learn Necromancy."
"No, she only now discovered her powers and wanted to control them."
"We have to get everyone together now." she insisted.
"Okay but first I need to be clued in."
Necro was woken up by the sound of his fathers voice to see him in the room with Bella and then saw Blair was sleeping with him.
"What s going on?" asked Nerco.
"Come with me." said Bella.
As Necro got up and turned back to his humans self, as he was getting up Blair was woken.
"Come on." said Bella.
They four left to find Harris outside.
They where all gathered in the throne room now with Lady and the book as well.
"Lady stole the book." said Bella.
"Okay who cares." said Harris.
"Shut up." snorted Blair.
"I m sorry." sighed Lady.
"Why did you do this?" asked Necro "Why have you caused everyone s lives around to you decay."
"I didn t want you to have to teach me after you lost your powers." rebutted Lady.
"Is that it." he growled "I ll tell you what, I gave up my power so you could have it."
"Necro are you sure?" asked Blair.
"No, but now is as good as it gets." he blurted "I was given a choice to restore my magic or gift it to the world guess witch one I chose."
Lady cowered at his harsh tone but quite delivery.
"I CHOOSE TO GIVE IT UP!" he shouted "And now you squander the gift."
"That s the secret, you refused to tell me, isn't it?" asked Harris to Blair.
Blair remind silent.
"ISN T IT!" he shouted in her face.
"Yes fine, but it was his choice his magic, you had no right to no." replied Blair.
"That s juts like you magic over all else." snorted Harris as he left.
"Let me ask you, why you felt steeling the book was your only option?" Necro asked.
Lady tried to speak but was unable to find the words.
"That s what I thought." he said "Leave."
"What?"
"LEAVE!" demanded Necro.
Lady walked towards the hall as she was about to leave, she looked back.
"Necro." said Bella trying to clam him down.
"No." he snapped back, he looked at Lady.
Turning back she walked away.
"Why did you do that?" asked Bella.
"We have a lot of work that has to be done know." said Necro "New Necromancers will be cropping up and the guild has to be ready for them."
"You don t have to do this." she insisted.
"Blair you magic will be key, in helping to cross the land s to spread the news."
"Necro." said Blair "What did you do."
He turned sharply to her "Me, what about you." he mocked "Your drove your best friend and lover away and instead of trying to make it work you juts left him."
"That s not what happened."
"Oh." he laughed "You ran, you didn t choose to cover up are secret with a lie, you choose to come to me and not try and work things out, your the reason for your own demise."
Blair walked away not wanting to her it any more.
"Son stop!" demanded Kyle.
"You, the man that abandoned his unborn son leaving him with a family of unforgiving cultists." he retorted "He never thought to take his son or mother with him form the start."
"I, I." pleaded Kyle.
"Stop this." Insistence Bella.
"That s rich coming from the women who did nothing to stop her husbands advances of magic domination." he sniggered.
"And what about you!" shouted Bella "The boy with out a name the lonely coward, who forced a girl to love him because no one else could."
Necro looked sad as tears rolled down his eyes.
"I m so sorry." sobbed Bella reaching out.
Necro smiled as the tears juts went away "You can t twist my life, I know who I am, I know what I did, but you all can t stand who you are, because of the choices you made." he looked at the only two people left in the entire room "Where all here for the same reason, we ran form what we left behind."
Bella and Kyle watched as he left as well, it was a biter and cold night as everyone was alone, ounce they had forged an army that could battle legions of Necromancers and now they where so weak they did not see what had already gone unnoticed. United they stood and divided they fell.
Necro stormed in to his room and found Blair standing their angry and bleeding fury, she was ready to kill him, Necro was able to see her motivations. He juts took on his dragon form.
"Come at me." he taunted.
In her sate of anger she flung out her arms as shard blades came flying towards him, in response he flapped his wings with air that sent them to the ground. Blair jumped at gripping there air until a knife appeared in her hand, she lunged at his body but as he moved to avoid it, the blade caught his wing. Falling to the ground he became human again, he found himself laying on the floor with Blair sat over on him leaning in for the kill. Adrenalin was running high and as she felt something hit her back she was distracted, as what she thought was a tale was enough for to push her down and get on top of her, as he slowly descended upon her he felt his bulge rub up against her thigh. As he got closer to her face they both seemed to have the same idea, dropping the blood riddled hatred they started kissing and undressing, as they rolled about the room.
The next mourning Bell was in the guild library trying to add the heavy amount of books they need.
"He s right you now." said Kyle coming in.
"We need to cast a wider net."
"I now." said Bella as she closed a book. "We have enough people who can do it."
"So."
"I fell like we will need to have a building in every city, castle and kingdom for it to work."
"Your going about his all wrong."
"We juts need enough people to spread the message to the word and a few out their willing to help set up places that will let new students travel here.
"Or better yet, we can find a new way to reach the world."
"Exactly." agreed Kyle.
"We should tell Nova."
"What should we tell her exactly."
"Everything."
Noav s room was a crown jewel compared to the other rooms it was filed with large bed family portraits, her books form home and many other things she had form her child hood. It looked more homely then the other rooms, with a fireplace and more furnishings. As the knock of the door came Bella s muffled voice echoed.
"Nova, we need to talk." she said.
But she heard no replay.
"Are you in their?" she asked again.
With still no reply she opened the door to see the room was empty, no one was inside no Nova no nobody, in a panicked sate she raced in hunting for any signs of Nova. Kyle watched from the door way as she turned the place upside down looking for young Nova. But what they found only made things seem darker as they where already where. Walking in Kyle spotted something on the mantle of the fireplace and picked up a letter and flicked over it s pages
"Mother look at this?" he said holding it out.
As she raced she looked at the pages witch only held her worst fears.
"I m sorry." Kyle read "But I can t handle this life nay more"
Nova was crying as she sat in her room writhing her last good bye. 'I can t stay on as queen. she wrote sobbing, holding back tears 'But if all this kingdom has brought anger and hatred to those closest to me. a tear fell down on to the paper staining the ink 'If human life seems to only tare everyone apart I will live out my life a s a dragon. she stopped sobbing harder, the fact she was leaving her friends was to much. 'So I m going to live my life as dragon.
The two looked up form her letter and knew what this meant.
Far away in the distant rocky mountains and valleys Nova was flying as her dragon self looking for a place she could call home, but in the back of her mind she only wanted to return home to the others. All of a sudden she was shot out of the sky as a weighted net was fired in her direction, as it collided with her she was unable to fly as the net forced her to coil up as the weights brought her down. She was able to use magic to help soften the blow by using air water and ice to slow her fall make a slide down and fall with a splash. As she did she saw she had made her captures wet and one was one she recognised it was the witch who took Necro s powers.
