Chapter 79 079
Alexander's POV
"I wasn't thinking about anything..." Danica muttered, but her fluttering eyes and the color in her face gave her off. I would love to tease her more but she needed to rest. I would hate to see those ugly eye bags tomorrow morning.
"Fine, I'm not arguing with you, but we have to go to bed, now!" I muttered, sternly, striding to the other side of the bed to grab her hand. Then I pulled her along with me, regardless of the resistance she tried to put on.
"Wait. But we don't have to sleep together since we're not doing anything, anyway..." She tried to convince me but I wasn't having it.
"Unless you're disappointed that I'm not going to touch you tonight, Dani, then you shouldn't argue with me on this one. It is pointless through and through" I said and that did it. She went silent. Her resistance reduced, though not completely, but relatively. Just enough to make me understand that she's just going with me because I was giving her no choice than getting embarrassed.
As if the entire day didn't suck enough. As if it wasn't enough that I was trying hard to keep my anger at bay, we just had to run into the same person that's making every bolt in my body scream with fury.
I stopped walking abruptly, my glare fixed on the obnoxious bitch.
"Alexander..." She cooed, but my glare hardened, turning glacier cold.
"It's Alpha Alexander to you, Rosetta. I don't think we're close enough to leave out the honorifics" I said bluntly, not giving her a chance to hide the embarrassment because that was the main point of it all, and getting embarrassed is just one out of the long list of things I'm going to do to make her fucking cry until she had her tail between her legs as she goes back to her 'Mommy'
"Alpha Alexander" she corrected, her voice falling low and her face heating up with anger? Just embarrassment? Both? I don't particularly care, but both would be a win. Spoilt brats like them tend to think life's a bed of roses just because they usually have things going their way.
I noticed the glare she had on Danica and I initially wasn't going to say anything... At least not until, I felt Danica tighten her grip on my hand like she's secretly asking for shelter.
I was just about to tell her off for staring so hard but Danica beat me to it. Holy hell, she did. And in a fucking sassy way.
"What? Do I have something on my face? Or you can't just stop staring at the beauty in disguise of a sexy mess?" The question came out straight, no cowering, just the curiosity and a glare that mirrored that of the initial assailant.
It was so cute, I could barely hold back a scoff.
Rosetta gasped, her gaze traveling to me... For help, maybe? Just because she didn't want to come off as barbaric in front of her supposed 'fake' betrothed. Only if she knew she would find herself in a situation of 'frying pan to fire'.
I shrugged at her with a cocky smirk and her jaw literally fell open.
"We would love to stay here with you a little more but we have to go to bed now, so... Goodnight, I guess?" Danica muttered and when she started walking again, pulling me along with her, I followed without hesitating.
I was barely three steps away when I stopped to look back at her.
"Right, Rosetta. A little piece of advice?" I said, and she turned to meet my gaze, with hope-filled eyes.
How pathetic.
"You should do well to avoid me as much as you can for the rest of your stay around here" I added before going all the way to my room, without another glance back.
Once we got in, I pinned Danica to the wall and kissed her, hard. Her lips were still a bit swollen from the last kiss but I couldn't care at this point. I just have to drown the anger brewing in my chest somehow, and laying my hands on her wasn't an option. Not today.
This was the only alternative I had right now and I used it to my maximum advantage.
I didn't stop until all I could feel was her body pressed flush against mine, her lips soft and probably bruised against mine and all I could hear was those cute breathy moans.
Only then did I pull back.
"I promised not to touch you, and I'm going to keep my promise" I said after she found herself back to earth. She frowned and it slowly melted into a glare.
"And you just had to pin me to the nearest wall ten minutes after making that promise only to kiss me senseless? Really, Xander?" She snapped, breathlessly.
"I had to do it, or I might just commit a brutal massacre right in front of you, little mate. Would you rather I did that to the little shit, then?" I asked and she blinked, her lips parting and then closing without a single word.
"That's what I thought" I added before leading her to the bed.
"You're not permitted to think about anyone outside this room while you're lying right beside me, little mate. Or I might just go back on my promise" I whispered into her ears and I felt her pulse quicken as she sucked in a sharp breath.
"I assure you, I have only one person in mind right now and you can just guess who it is," she said as she climbed onto the bed.
I pulled off my shirt in one swift pull, then I joined her in bed, pulling her to my chest.
"And who might that be?" I asked, knowing the answer, yet still wanting to hear her say it because somehow those little shy words of affirmation makes me feel insanely good.
