Chapter 37
**Narratorâs POV.**
âWhat the fuck do you mean by âyour credit card was declinedâ?â, Gabriel growled at the woman who at the counter,
âI am sorry sir but I donât know, it said declinedâ, the woman said meekly, âMaybe I should try it again?â, she suggested and Gabriel tossed his card at her rudely- he hated airports a lot which was why he preferred using the private jet his father owned, it saved a lot of time and stress but he knew for a fact that he could not use it right then.
âIt was declined again, sirâ, a series of curse words left Gabrielâs mouth as he grabbed his phone and passport off the counter before collecting the card from the airport ticketer. He stormed his way over to his brothers who were sitting at one of the waiting areas,
âCan you believe that bastard? He fucking cut us off, the company credit card is uselessâ, Gabriel lamented as he snapped the card into two and threw it into the nearest bin, âFuck himâ,
âI expected him to do something as petty as thatâ, Kevin rolled his eyes, sounding unbothered, âHe wants us to come crawling but to him not knowing that we all have our own moneyâ, the three step-brotherâs smirked in unison and brought out all their credit cards.
âDamn, I really wanted to use that bastards moneyâ, Alex snapped his fingers and stood up from the seats, âNow weâll have to ride economyâ, they all shuddered at the thought of flying in anything but first class in a commercial plane, âCome on guys, we still have a lot of travelling to do, we canât be wasting money like thatâ, he pointed out,
Gabriel looked genuinely taking aback, âYouâŠâ, he pointed at Alex, âWorried about saving money?â,
âI wouldnât usually care but its my hard-earned money that weâre talking about, money that I actually had to work forâ, he shrugged, âI use the company card for luxury like my carâ,
âYou bought your car with the company card?â, Gabriel asked, narrowing his eyebrows at him,
âLike you didnâtâ, he accused back, âI mean, I can afford a fucking jet with my own money but I choose not to do that. Plus, spending our fatherâs money on stupidly expensive things is payback for him being such an assholeâ, he explained.
Kevin stood up as well and adjusted the shades he had on as a disguise from fans who could be lurking around, âIf we are entering economy, I will be needing more than just shades, I need a face hat and a fucking hoodieâ,
âDamn, I forgot you were like a celebrityâ, Alex said,
âI am a celebrity dumbassâ, he declared, âCan you two get the tickets? I need to get said things at a storeâ,
âDonât you have them in your bag?â, Gabriel asked, joining the other two men on their feet,
âThose are expensive, I need to look as basic as possible if Iâm riding economy, Iâll advice you both to do the sameâ, he pointed out, looking at the snappy suits they had on, âYou look far from basicâ.
âFine, get us something that isnât basic. You know what?â, Gabriel paused for a second, âIâll get the tickets and you both get the clothesâ, he was about to leave when Alex stopped him,
âI think I should do the ticket buyingâ, he suggested, âKnowing you, youâve probably scared the hell out of the poor lady who was just trying to do her jobâ, he got a skeptical look from Gabriel, âI will handle thisâ, he pressed,
Gabriel let out a sigh and groaned loudly, âFineâ.

Almost thirty minutes later, the brother-s were once again united, âWere the fuck were you both?â, Alex practically screamed at Gabriel and Kevin who gave him a sheepish look. Alex had been waiting for them for nearly twenty minute and whenever he tried to call, their phones went straight to voice mail,
âWe may have gotten a little bit carried awayâ, Gabriel said, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand,
âWhat the hell is that supposed to mean?â, he asked them, raising up an eyebrow,
âIt means that we ended up going overboard after seeing the low prices on quality outfits andâŠâ, Kevin covered his face playfully which showed that underneath his broody attitude, he was still the last child of three.
âAnd?â,
âWe ended up with five new suitcases of clothesâ, Kevin finished quickly making Alexâs eyes nearly pop out of their sockets,
âWhat part of âsaving moneyâ does the both of you not understand?â, his voice had raised an octave higher,
âRelax, we only spent about a thousand dollars- we usually spend that on half an outfitâ, Gabriel said, rolling his eyes. To him, Alex was being a little but overdramatic with this whole saving thing, it was really new to all of them so he couldnât figure out why Alex was being so touchy about it,
âA thousand dollars?â, Alex questioned, âA âbasicâ person doesnât spend a thousand dollars in a dayâ, he pointed out and sighed, âI should seize both your cards but you have phones so that would be pointlessâ.
âExactlyâ, Kevin smirked and handed him a shopping bag, âYou own two of the boxes but this is what we got you to travel withâ, Alex looked inside the bag and nodded,
âI will be back soon; can you check our things in? Our flight leaves in an hourâ, he handed Gabriel the three economy tickets and went to the nearest bathroom to change. Once done, he met up with the other two men who were waiting in line for the security check and before they knew it, they were in a plane heading to Illinois- on their part, it was the most uncomfortable trip they had ever on.
