Chapter 49

We began to prepare for Alpha Monroe and Alpha Taylor. The day they would arrival there was to be a ball in their honor. “I don’t understand why we have to have a ball this is supposed to be a war council so why do we have to do this?” I asked Hayden.

“It is a formality. When Packs come together it is expected. It is good too. Some people don’t have mates that are in their pack, so it gives them an opportunity to find them.”

“I understand I just don’t want to go?”

“Why not?”

“Do I really need to tell you?”

“Really?”

“Well,”

“You will be beautiful, also if it is any consolation when other Lycans see you, trust me, they will be intimidated.”

“No, they won’t. They will just gawk like always.”

“Trust me when they gawk it is because they will be shocked you were strong enough to live through that. It is still baffling you survived. It is part of the reason the young pups look so long. They are in shock anyone could live through that.”

“Yeah sure.”

“I am serious I heard some of the teenagers talking about it just the other day. They said and I quote. Man, the other Alphas are going to be scared shitless after meeting Luna. Then the other went on to say Yeah, right, I mean how could they not those scars are no joke they won't try anything knowing how powerful she is.”

“They did not?”

“Did too. So. Really don’t worry about it.”

It occurred to me maybe he was right. I mean if we wanted to display power, and we did. It was a normal thing to want to display power when there was more than one Alpha in the room. From what Alya told me. She had also told me that a strong Luna meant a strong Alpha as they were paired together. Maybe, I shouldn’t focus so much on the scars “Okay, Ha.yden I will go buy a dress today with Alice.”

“Good and it is traditional to wear the pack colors as we are Alpha and Luna.”

“Got it so Black.”

“Yep”

I got up to leave and then he grabbed my wrist. “Aren’t you forgetting something” I looked at him and then it hit me I knew what he wanted. I spun around.

“You are right.” I got closer to him and moved in close. I reached up to grab the back of his neck I pulled him in, so his lips were on mine. I kissed him and he grabbed my round ass. I began to move my hands down his back so I could feel his rippling muscles threw his shirt. He always wanted a kiss when we went our separate ways for the day. He started to pull at my shirt, and I obliged by letting him take it off.

“No bra today?” he whispered in my ear. I knew he was smirking as he said that. He picked me up and tossed me back on the bed. He started to kiss my neck then he traveled down every time he kissed on one of his bites, I felt a surge of electricity pulsing through my body.

When he got to my pant line, he pulled the pants off. He then resumed his trail of kisses. When he got to my thighs, I had several bites, and he took his time kissing on those. I was already on the verge of combusting when he put a finger inside me. He moved his mouth, so it was on my bud and after a few minutes I felt my release.

He pulled his face away and he looked at my face. I was blushing. Ever since I had my heat, I have not been so self-conscience with him. With other people I still felt uncomfortable but after what Hayden told me then maybe I should try to be less sensitive about all of it.

“Now I believe you have some shopping to do.” He said as he got up. He picked up my pants and handed them to me. Then my shirt. He kissed me again. And we walked out of the room and headed our separate ways. I went to my office.

There were a few people that wanted to see me this morning and I think it would be best to visit with them. When I get to my office, I ask Alice to send in the people who wanted to meet with me. The first was an elderly woman who wanted to have a job in the pack as she was bored doing nothing.

I asked if she had any experience with gardens. She said she did, so I told her I was wanting to start a huge garden back behind the packhouse. If she were up for it, we could work together when most of the snow had melted.

Her face lit up. In truth I had always wanted to have a garden I just never had time now I had way more time as my job was helping with personal issues in the pack. This was something to help the pack. Maybe, I could recruit some others to help with the garden. I thought it would be good for morale.

The second was a man. He came to know what to do with his son. He was getting into a lot of mischief. It always confused me why people asked me for parenting advice, I never had kids. Ayla explained that I am seen as the mother of all in the pack, so it was my obligation to give guidance.

I however still didn’t know about parenting though. I thought about the man's problem. “Well, how about we make his schedule much more intense,”

“What do you mean Luna?”

“Let's give him more duties I will talk to Alpha, and he will fill me in on all the little jobs we need done that no one wants, and I will personally go to your son and instruct him to the chores. We can see how that goes and in time we can let up.”

“I don’t know if that will work.”

“I have an idea about how it will work when I talk with him about the chores. Just give me his name please.”

“Mikey Sanders and thankyou Luna.”

“No problem. I will get to it as soon as I can.”

“Again, thankyou Luna.” He said as he left the office. Alice came in behind him.

“Is that all Alice?”

“Yes Luna.”

“Then let's get going I heard you and I have some shopping to do.”

A huge smile arose across Alice's face. She was one of my favorite people. As the little things made her so happy. We headed out to a boutique to get our gowns.
