Lexus who was still in shock looked at his known father and thereafter at Alpha Daedos. He wanted to believe what his known father had just divulged as he can feel the truth thereof. For a long time, he always looked up to and was very close to the Alpha not knowing that the blood that runs in their veins is the blood that was pulling them together.
Alpha Daedos too looked at Lexus and in his heart, he knew for long that Lexus was different. He was not a man with Beta blood because his capabilities and intelligence exceeded of what a wolf of Beta blood should be.
Drew has seen that everyone, even the Alpha, he knew to be his father, seemed to believe what the almost blind former Beta had just announced unexpectedly. With that, he growled out loud, shifted into his wolf in an instant, and ran using his maximum speed until he reached the depth of the forest.
Drew felt so lost, so down and his head was spinning in disbelief. "How come that he is the son of the Beta and Lexus is the son of the Alpha?" he thought with total disbelief. He knew that Lexus has extra special capabilities compared to him but he convinced himself that it was because Lexus has been being trained well by his Beta father since he was four years old.
With his mind in haste, Drew ran further until he reached the waterfalls. He shifted into his human form and jumped on the water. He wanted to cool down his emotions and if diving repeatedly in the water would wash away all the things that happened to him today, he is willing to dive repeatedly.
Alpha Daedos' expression is as dark as midnight. "Lexus, bring him to my office," he said pointing his finger to his former Beta, who is now on his knees in complete surrender to whatever the Alpha would do to him.
Lexus bowed his head and nodded. "Yes, Alpha." He then knelt in front of his known father and held both of his shoulders.
Alpha Daedos turned his back and walked to the pack house.
"Father, let us go," he murmured to him.
"There is no need for you to call me, Father. I am not your real father, Lexus. I am sorry for deceiving you and for depriving you of the life you were supposed to enjoy," the former Beta uttered with tears slowly dripping from his almost blind eyes.
Lexus did not reply, instead, he assisted him to stand up. "I don't know what to say right now, but whatever happens, you have been a good father to me and I cannot forget that." He then assisted the former Beta while walking to the office of Alpha Daedos.
While walking, Beta Lexus' mind is swirling with mixed thoughts and he was having mixed emotions too.

"What happened there a while ago Sandro? I cannot understand yet how it happened that your son grew up with us while my son grew up with you and your wife. Let me understand it," the voice of Alpha Daedos was shaking, proof that he was controlling his anger to burst out. Who would even think that the close friend and former Beta, whom he thought had been so loyal to him, was after all a snake, a traitor?!
Former Beta Sandro bowed his head before he spoke. "Remember Alpha, my wife, and our former Luna, your wife, gave birth at the same in our then small medical facility. Inadvertently, the nurse put the tag of Alpha's son on my son and Beta's son on your son. I saw it because I was there and I fully knew who my son was. I was about to reprimand the nurse but you entered the small nursery room and immediately carried your son. I was shocked not knowing what to do and I also feared that you might not believe me that time if I will tell you, you are holding my son and not yours if the tag name of the child said "Alpha's son". I also feared for the nurse's life. I was in a dilemma that I told my wife about it, but my wife said to let it be, saying that it will make our son have a much better future being the heir to your Alpha's position when the times come. I was convinced too that my wife has a point bearing in mind that I saved the nurse, I saved myself from your doubt and I was giving my son a better future."
While listening to former Beta Sandro's confession, Alpha Daedos' face kept getting darker and harder while Lexus was frozen like everything that he was hearing was only a dream. All his life, he thought he is a Beta's son. He never thought otherwise, because her known mother, the deceased wife of former Beta Sandro, treated and loved him in a way that none may think that he was not her real son. Beta Sandro too, has been a good father to him, although from time to time he was able to observe his too much closeness and care for Drew.
After the revelation, former Beta Sandro knelled in front of Alpha Daedos, and with tears, which he was unable to control anymore, he sobbed and said, "I am ready for your punishment, my Alpha. My crime is unforgivable." he uttered as if he lost hope already that Alpha Daedos would understand and forgive him with what he did.
Alpha Daedos has been suddenly overtaken by his wolf. His eyes grew darker and with fire while his fangs started to elongate out of his mouth. In a few seconds, Alpha Daedos shifted into his wolf form and jumped over to former Beta Sandro.
Beta Lexus' eyes grew wide in further shock as he saw Alpha Daedos jump toward his known father, with his fangs and his claws ready to dip into the heart of former Beta Sandro.
As if awakened, Beta Lexus shouted so loud, "No!!!"
