Drew thought that his father, Alpha Deados did not know his predicament. He was wrong. Alpha Daedos, knew very well his son’s fears and weaknesses.
Although Alpha Daedos believe that the Golden She-wolf would be of big help to his son, when he became the new Alpha of their pack, in lieu of him, yet he cannot just follow their whims if it means sacrificing the happiness of not only one but three, the Golden She-wolf, Lexus and Trixie.
“Drew, I know your fears. Do not let your fears hinder you from having your real strength and happiness. What I was saying was your true mate, Lexie, and not Daffodil.
Drew looked at his father, before he uttered sternly, “If your decision is to accept Lexie as my mate and eventually make her as my Luna, I will agree but in one condition, Alpha Father.”
“It is is not solely my decision, you know that Drew, it is also the decision of the Council of Elders. Tell me then, what is your condition?” Alpha Daedus asked his son, furrowing.
“I want Beta Lexus removed as Beta and be dismembered from this pack. Let him live like a rogue for being a traitor. His assignment was to find the Golden She-wolf for me and not to mark and mate with her,” Drew’s eyes were squinting as he said these words.
Alpha Daedus has been stunned. How can he remove Lexus as Beta if he is the strongest Beta he ever had? He is even stronger, and wiser than his former Beta father. Much more, how can he dismember her from his pack, if he is their front warrior every time they are in a battle or being attacked by other packs? “No, that is absolutely not reasonable. It will not be agreed upon by the Council of Elders. Even I would think so many times before I will grant that Drew. Lexus is a big help in our pack, whether you accept it or not.”
“If that is your stand with the condition I was requesting Alpha Father, then please forgive me, I will not back down to my claim that the Golden She-wolf is mine,” Drew declared with fire in his eyes and Alpha Daedos was not able to control his rage.
“Who are you Drew to control me on what to decide on matters that will have a great impact on our group? You are not yet the Alpha and if I will not put you in the position, you can never be an Alpha if that is how you think and act!” he spews some air from his lungs out of anger. How could his son be so hard-headed if what he is thinking is only for his welfare?! he thought angrily.
“I am not yet an Alpha but I am your son, your next in line Alpha, father! Would it be a great reason, so that I should be favored rather than a mere Beta?!”

Drew marched out of his Alpha father’s office. His heart is raging with angst against Lexus, who seemed to be getting all the favors in this world.
“No, I cannot let him take all the luck and happiness in this world. If his happiness is the Golden She-wolf, then he can never have her. The Golden she-wolf is mine!” howling with madness, Drew shifted into his wolf form and ran into the forest. He needs to release his madness, otherwise, he might kill anyone that he will find weak enough to be easily killed.
When he returned to the packhouse, Drew was somehow calmer. He walked straight to his bedroom and to surprise, he saw Lexie inside, sitting on her bed, waiting for him.
“What are you doing here, Lexie?” he asked with irritation in his voice. He did not look at Lexie as he could feel his lust for her growing strong again. His wolf was even howling wanting to grab Lexie and pin her on the bed.
“I am here to speak with you once again, Drew. I could feel that you like me too. Our mate pull, our mate bond is strong. You cannot deny that fact, Drew,” she said softly as she stood away from the bed and made a few strides to be near where he was standing.
“Stop it, Lexie. It is not you, I dreamed of, to be my Luna. I wanted Daffodil, not you. What happened to us was based on lust. I lust for you, that’s all,” Drew said, fully knowing that Lexie will be hurt by his words. He does not care anymore. He is determined to reject her now.
Teary-eyed, Lexie tried to still keep her pride as she held her chin up. “Are you rejecting me now, Drew?” she asked while looking at him with an unfathomable expression.
Drew glanced at her and was about to reject her, but his wolf howled at him and took control over his body. As he shifted into his wolf form, Lexie's wolf and his wolf seemed to understand each other. Just for a moment and Lexie's wolf was also controlling her, as she shifted into her wolf form and ran chasing the wolf of Drew, who ran again into the woods.
Being a Gamma's daughter, Lexie could not be considered a weak she-wolf. Her father's breed is considered also as one of the wisest classes in the werewolf realm. Hence, she could not take it that Drew could not accept her believing that it is the Golden She-wolf that will bring him strength and not her, even if she is his mate.
Lexie's wolf ran faster to chase Drew's wolf. Until Drew's wolf stopped and waited for her to come near him while growling so loud.
Lexie's wolf was surprised that she sped up until she reached Drew's place. Lexie's wolf approached Drew's wolf and in one second, the latter's head was already touching the head of Lexie's wolf, like caressing her. Thereafter, Drew's wolf licked Lexie's wolf's nose until he reached her mouth, and in a few moments, Drew's wolf was on top of Lexie's wolf, to mate with her. Lexie could not control her wolf as she give in to her heat, while Drew could not control too, his wolf as he mated with great pleasure to Lexie's wolf.
From afar, a group of warriors having a run too, suddenly stopped as they witnessed what was going on between the two werewolves, who are both familiar to them.
