Lexus' heart thumped as he noticed a big man sitting in the back part. His dark color and his equally dark eyes are fiercely looking at them when they entered the plane.
Good thing they found two seats beside each other; they didn’t need to sit apart. When both of them were settled in their seats, Lexus tried to relax. He does not want Daffodil to notice his uneasiness. It is better that she did not know that they might be in danger right at that moment. Who knows, he might be just too paranoid. Anyhow, Daffodil is wearing a contact lens covering her golden eyes. Her eyes right now are akin to the ocean’s color.
When the aircraft started to soar up, Lexus checked on Daffodil first before he closed his eyes. She was looking at him too. Smilingly, he put his left arm around her shoulders and let her lean on his muscular chest. “You sleep Sweetheart; we have a long way to go,” he murmured, to which she just nodded.
Daffodil could hear and feel the fast beating of Lexus's heart. She noticed that she felt so secure while leaning on him and his arm are being wrapped around her. She looked up at him and smiled.
Seeing her smile like that, Lexus had a hard time controlling himself and his wolf not to kiss her at that moment. “Sleep Sweetheart and don’t smile at me like that,” he murmured and Daffodil almost giggled. She could feel her effect on him.
Lexus fights his sleepiness. He should not fall asleep. He needs to be awake and guarded.
While Daffodil sleeps, Lexus has been wide awake, opening strongly all his senses.
Sleepy as he was, however, Lexus fell asleep too, after more than an hour of fighting not to sleep.
Both of them awakened when they felt the drastic movements of the aircraft because of turbulence. Lexus immediately holds Daffodil tightly and the latter clings to him with an array of fears.
It was a rough time for a couple of minutes until the aircraft slowly returned to its prior pacified movements.
All of the passengers on the aircraft, including Lexus and Daffodil were able to breathe clearly, releasing those tensions that built in their lungs while they were experiencing the sudden turbulence.
A couple of hours later, they arrived at Sydney International Airport and, as agreed before, they left the Cook Islands; they took a cab and went directly to the hotel booked previously by Daffodil’s parents. Supposedly, it was the hotel that Daffodil should have been staying at for the whole week in Sydney should she did not detour and gone to the Cook Islands instead.
To avoid any traces, Lexus and Daffodil did not arrange a hotel pick-up at the airport. They just took public cab transport after arriving at the airport.
They will stay in the hotel for at least two days before they fly to Los Angeles.

At the Mythical Silver Shadow’s Packhouse, Alpha Daedos noticed that Beta Lexus had not been around for almost two days already. Thinking that he might be seriously doing his assignment to search for the missing golden she-wolf, Alpha Daedos smiled. He knows how responsible his Beta is, so no wonder he will take by heart the task he assigned him to do days ago.
Trixie, who would usually go to their packhouse after her shift at the resort, also wondered why she could not see Lexus around. The last time she saw him was when he was at the resort and he was even accompanying their resort’s guest, whom she told him to be the possible missing golden she-wolf. After that, he did not see him anymore.
The next day, when Trixie came to work and went to the resort, she suddenly remembered to see the check-out list of their guests. Her forehead automatically furrowed when she saw the guest named Daffodil Marby, checked-out already two days ago. Supposedly, she should check out tomorrow.
“Neil, this woman, she checked out two days ago? Supposedly she should check out tomorrow. What happened? Didn’t she enjoy her stay in our resort?” Trixie asked her co-receptionist, hoping she could get any idea what happened to her.
Neil looked at the name that Trixie pointed out and thought for a while. “Ahh, she checked out so early in the morning two days ago. I asked her also if she did not like our resort or facilities but she just said she needed to return home early due to business matters.”
“I see. Have you seen here, my friend Lexus by the way?” Trixie asked again.
Neil shook his head. “Nope.”
“Neil, who assisted Ms. Marby with her things?” hinting at something, Trixie asked again.
“Oh, no one, because Ms. Marby said she could manage when I told her that one of our bell boys would help her.”
Trixie is already getting curious, “Did she request our shuttle or rent a car?”
Neil abruptly looked at Trixie. “Why are you so concerned, Trixie? Are you jealous? I saw her with Lexus by the way. They were together the night before she checked out.”
Trixie suddenly furrowed. “Are you sure?”
“Yes. Why? Is there something between you and Lexus?”
Trixie became silent. “Neil, I need to go home; I will return in a while.” She then fled, to Neil’s surprise.
Trixie got her electronic bike and sped off fast; her direction was their pack’s house.
