Chapter 36
In just five minutes, the entire bridal shop was reduced to ruins!
Those armed mercenaries turned and left, leaving only Bayonet behind.
"Mr. Lockwood, it's done!"
Bayonet had been measured—he hadn't killed anyone.
A few people were accidentally injured by stray bullets, but none were in life-threatening danger.
"Well done."
Kane nodded slightly.
Not only was Natalie unafraid, her eyes were filled with admiration!
Before, Kane was a business genius!
Now he was an arms dealer!
"Can I make Lumiere Couture disappear from Harborview City within ten minutes?"
Kane approached Josh, looking down at him.
Josh trembled. "Who... who are you?"
"Tell the Crawford family that in one month, if I don't see your entire family kneeling before my loved ones' graves to repent, I'll send you all to hell!"
Kane's voice was filled with killing intent.
He left Lumiere Couture with Natalie.
"Respected Mr. Lockwood, hello!"
At that moment, a middle-aged man wearing black-framed glasses who had been waiting at the entrance approached them ingratiatingly.
"Who are you?" Kane frowned.
Bayonet scratched his head. "Mr. Lockwood, he's from one of my subordinate families. He runs a bridal shop called Aurora Bridal!"
"He heard you were looking for a wedding dress and begged me, hoping to make you a dress for free."
"I hope Mr. Lockwood will give me this opportunity!"
The middle-aged man's expression was extremely respectful.
"What? Aurora Bridal? That bridal shop that's even better than Lumiere Couture? When the president got married, he used a wedding dress from Aurora Bridal!"
Natalie was shocked.
She never expected the owner of Aurora Bridal would be begging to give Kane a wedding dress!
My God!
Who exactly was Kane?
"Alright, I'll give you this opportunity!"
Kane frowned. "Can you make me a perfect wedding dress in three days?"
"Mr. Lockwood, rest assured, we'll work day and night to guarantee that in three days, we'll create for you a wedding dress that's absolutely unique, more beautiful and luxurious than the one custom-made for the president back then!"
The middle-aged man promised solemnly.
"I hope you'll impress me!"
"Alright, we have other things to do. We're leaving!"
Kane and Natalie got in the car, which slowly drove away.
Through the rearview mirror, Natalie saw the owner of Aurora Bridal still standing there with a devout expression, watching Kane leave.
"Kane, who exactly are you?"
Natalie's eyes were full of curiosity.
Supposedly, the owner of Aurora Bridal wasn't local but from a powerful family in the capital.
"Kane Lockwood!"
"You!"
"Don't tell Isabelle about this. I want to surprise her." Kane said in a deep voice.
"Okay, then you owe me a favor. I'll keep your secret."
"No problem."
Natalie agreed.
She felt that having a little secret that only she and Kane knew would bring them closer.
Now that the wedding dress was chosen, it was time to select the venue for the wedding!
Half an hour later, Kane and Natalie appeared in front of a building.
"Azure Palace Hotel!"
"The banquet hall on the top floor is 220 meters high. You can see all of Harborview City."
"You're not planning to hold Isabelle's wedding here, are you?"
Natalie couldn't believe it.
"That's right!"
Kane nodded. "I want to hold a wedding for Isabelle here, make her the envy of everyone, to make up for the ten years I owe her!"
Natalie was crying with envy!
If anyone could hold a wedding for her here, she'd marry him right now!
"But I heard ordinary people can't book this place. The owner of Azure Palace Hotel has military connections—most people can't afford to cross him."
Natalie said worriedly.
Although Kane hadn't revealed his identity, in her view, he must have met arms dealers or similar figures in prison.
But compared to the military, there was still quite a gap.
"No problem!"
Kane didn't take it seriously at all and walked into Azure Palace Hotel.
Soon, Kane and Natalie took the elevator to the top floor banquet hall.
"Sir, are you here looking for work? The kitchen still needs a few dishwashers."
The receptionist showed a disdainful smile.
"I want to book the entire Azure Palace Hotel!"
The receptionist looked Kane up and down, then said with some mockery, "Sir, our Azure Palace Hotel only serves the nobility of Harborview City. You don't seem to meet our standards!"
"Think I'm poor?"
Kane frowned.
He hadn't expected Azure Palace Hotel only served Harborview City's elite!
"Cut the crap. Three days from now, I want to hold a wedding here. I'm booking the entire hotel!" Kane said firmly.
"Please wait, I'll call our manager!"
The receptionist immediately pulled out a walkie-talkie to call the manager.
"Kane, maybe we should leave. The owner here has military connections—not someone to mess with." Natalie said worriedly.
"It's fine." Kane said calmly.
"Who wants to book our entire hotel?"
At that moment, a tall woman with golden curly hair quickly walked over.
Her beautiful legs were wrapped in black stockings. In terms of appearance, she was probably only slightly less attractive than Isabelle.
As soon as she appeared, she immediately attracted many people's attention.
"It's this gentleman! I told him our hotel only serves the elite, but he just wouldn't listen." The staff member glanced at Kane.
"I see."
"Kane, is that you?"
The blonde woman saw Kane and was slightly stunned.
"Daisy?"
"What are you doing here?"
Kane also recognized the blonde woman before him.
Her name was Daisy Parker, Kane's high school classmate who had pursued him back then.
But Kane's mind had been entirely on business, and he'd been indifferent to Daisy.
He never expected to run into Daisy here.
"I'm the lobby manager here. You know, my grades were average. After college graduation, I got a job here."
"But I was lucky—someone helped me out, otherwise I wouldn't even have qualified for the lobby manager position."
Daisy was full of false modesty.
"You're already doing great." Kane said.
"What are you doing here?"
"I want to book the entire hotel three days from now, but your staff looked down on me."
Kane shrugged.
"Look what you've done! How could you treat a customer like this? Do you still want to work here?"
Daisy angrily scolded the staff member.
The staff member was nearly in tears.
She hadn't expected Kane and Daisy to be classmates. She quickly apologized, "Ms. Parker, I really didn't know he was your classmate. It's my fault. I shouldn't have looked down on him!"
Kane said calmly, "Daisy, forget it. It's just a small matter. Don't make things difficult for her. Everyone has it tough."
Hearing Kane's words, Daisy burst out laughing as if she'd heard the biggest joke.
Kane frowned, somewhat puzzled.
"Kane, you really think I'm going to punish her? You're wrong!"
"She did great!"
"This is exactly the attitude to have toward a poor guy like you. Our Azure Palace Hotel isn't a place for people like you!"
Daisy's tone changed completely as she praised the staff member instead.
