At this moment, a shareholders' meeting was in session.

Suddenly, Xavier's phone on the table rang!

She hurried to turn off the phone.
But then, Xavier's eyes fell on the phone screen and saw the caller ID—Mr. Lockwood!
His expression changed dramatically, and he quickly said, "Stop!"
The next moment, Xavier immediately grabbed the phone.
The assistant was puzzled.
Xavier was always known for his composure. Even when facing huge matters, he remained calm. Why was he so flustered today?
Xavier excitedly grabbed the phone and looked at the screen.
Confirming it was a call from that person, he immediately made a decision that shocked everyone!
"The shareholders' meeting is temporarily suspended!"
"When it will resume will be decided later!"
Everyone was completely confused but had to leave.
Xavier took a deep breath and was about to answer the call, but unexpectedly, the call had timed out and hung up.
"What's going on?"
"Wrong number?"
"Better call back right away!"

"Why won't it go through?"
Kane frowned.

Quinton waved his hand.
All the security guards immediately surrounded Kane.
Each guard looked fierce, holding weapons like daggers and batons.
Vivian and Winford showed cruel smiles.
Kane, in a moment you'll be crawling on the ground like a dog, begging for mercy!
Isabelle looked worried, "Kane!"
"It's okay, leave this to me!"
Kane shielded Isabelle behind him and cracked his knuckles.
The atmosphere around them became extremely tense.

Quinton shouted.
The next moment, the security guards rushed toward Kane!
Just then, a ringtone suddenly rang out.
Everyone paused.
"Whose phone is that?"
Quinton frowned.
Everyone looked at each other and shook their heads, indicating it wasn't theirs.
Isabelle reminded him, "Kane, I think it's your phone."
Kane took out his phone.
Indeed, his phone was ringing.
He answered the call.
"Mr. Lockwood, I'm so sorry about earlier. I was in a shareholders' meeting and missed your call. What can I do for you?"
Xavier's respectful voice came through the phone.
Kane said in a deep voice, "Do you know someone named Quinton?"
"I don't."
Xavier was the chairman of Purejoy Global Bank.
While Quinton was just a branch manager, he had probably only seen Xavier a few times. They weren't in the same league at all.
It was normal that Xavier didn't know Quinton.
"He's the general manager of your Purejoy Global Bank's Harborview City branch."
"Then I should know of him."
"He doesn't want to be the general manager anymore. Can you grant him this wish?"
"Did Quinton offend you?"
Xavier had been hoping day and night that Kane would contact him about something.
He didn't expect that this call would be about such a small matter!
He was smart and immediately guessed the reason.
Kane briefly explained what had happened.
Xavier's face instantly darkened, "That bastard! I'll deal with him!"
Xavier immediately said respectfully, "Please hand the phone to Quinton. I'll speak to him personally."
"Okay!"
Kane held the phone out to Quinton, "Your chairman wants you to take the call."
Isabelle showed a flash of surprise.
Kane knows the chairman of Purejoy Global Bank?
No way?
"The chairman?"
"Must be some scammer, right?"
Everyone burst into laughter again.
Quinton sneered, "If this is Mr. Gray, I'll kneel on the ground and eat shit!"
With that, Quinton took the phone.
"Are you Quinton? This is Xavier!"
The familiar voice from the phone made Quinton's heart tremble.
Why does this voice sound so familiar?
Although he had only met Xavier a few times, he had watched many of Xavier's videos. He knew this voice all too well!
Looking at the phone number, it was indeed Xavier's private phone!
"Mr. Gray, why are you calling me?"
Quinton's voice trembled.
Kane actually knows Xavier!
"You don't want to be the general manager anymore, is that right?"
"Mr. Gray, I was wrong! I was just talking nonsense!"
"Whether I can forgive you depends entirely on Mr. Lockwood's attitude. You know what to do, right?" Xavier said with a cold laugh.
"Mr. Lockwood, I was wrong earlier. I shouldn't have doubted you. Please forgive me!"
Quinton immediately understood. He rushed to Kane and his legs went weak, kneeling before Kane.
This scene left everyone shocked with their mouths hanging open!

"You were also deceived by them. I'll forgive you this once."
"Thank you, Mr. Lockwood!"
Xavier said on the phone, "Since Mr. Lockwood has forgiven you, you can continue as general manager for now, but as punishment, all your bonuses for this year will be deducted, and you'll face a performance review."
"Thank you, Mr. Gray!"
Quinton was thrilled. Being able to keep this job was already great.
"What about them?"
Kane glanced at Winford and Vivian.
Quinton said angrily, "How dare you treat Mr. Lockwood like this!"
"How can Purejoy Global Bank have scum like you! Starting today, you're all fired and blacklisted!"
"I'll also launch an investigation into you. If any embezzlement is found, you can wait to go to jail!"
Being blacklisted by Purejoy Global Bank meant they could never work in the financial industry again!

Winford and Vivian's legs went weak, and they knelt before Kane.
Winford quickly begged, "Mr. Lockwood, I was foolish. Please let me off!"
Vivian also said, "I was wrong. I shouldn't have framed you!"
"You're begging the wrong person. Whether to forgive you or not, you need to ask my wife." Kane said calmly.
In his eyes, these people were nothing but ants.
He cared more about Isabelle's attitude.
Vivian was thunderstruck. She was very reluctant to beg Isabelle, as Isabelle had always been the object of her jealousy.
"What are you standing there for? Go beg her now! Don't you want to work in the financial industry anymore?"
Winford shouted.
Vivian immediately snapped back to reality and crawled like a dog to Isabelle, "Isabelle, for the sake of us being college classmates, please let me off!"
Winford slapped himself hard, "I shouldn't have had improper thoughts about you. Please forgive me!"
