I was so relieved when we stopped at the plane and I didn’t have to answer the question about kids because yes, I was the one that brought it up first and yes, I am the one that has been thinking about it nonstop. I don’t know why but I wanted to start having babies now. Am I being silly? Definitely but for some reason I didn’t want to wait but then there is the problem as to who’s baby I have first isn’t the first born a thing in the Mafia. My heart was telling me I wanted Enzo’s children to be my first, I don’t know why and I have no idea how we are going to do that but I knew I wanted Enzo’s children first. Don’t get me wrong I love Enzo, Frank, John and Nico equally but Enzo, he just has a bigger piece of my heart but I will never admit to that that is why I’m saying I love them equally. And I will stick to that story till the day I die. When we got on the plane, I was even more nervous than usual not sure why maybe because I knew Enzo will bring up the kids’ conversation again.
Eventually he helped me to put on my seatbelt as my hands were shaking way too much, it’s like it was my first time in a plane and it was most definitely not. “Are you okay angel.” Enzo asked after a while. “Honestly I don’t know it feels like this is the first time I’m flying.” He took my hands in his and immediately I started to calm down, he just had that effect on me. The plane was starting to move but Enzo didn’t let go of my hands neither did he look away. “So, children?” He said which made me burst out laughing. It took him longer than I thought it would. “What about kids Enzo?” “I asked you a question earlier.” “I’m not sure I have a clue what you are talking about.” “Come on Cat who brought up kids first me or you?” “I did.” “See I thought so, and now what is your thoughts on kids?” I sat back in my chair not realizing we were already in the air and the worse is over for at least 9 hours.
“I’m not sure you are ready for what is going on in my head right about now?” “Try me.” Was all he said. “And if you don’t agree?” “Then I’ll tell you it won’t begum a big deal Cat, you know the two of us can talk about anything you also know I don’t get angry at you or stay angry at you so spill it what are you thinking?” “Well now that this Mafia boss situation is sorted out, we all told each other we love one another I would really like to start with a family as soon as possible.” Enzo looked shocked “Oh” “See I told you.” “No no go on.” “Okay the thing is I want to start with a family but I want to start with you I want to have your children first or at least one of your children first, I think you would set the example as to how a father should be, or how to be towards me when I’m pregnant. You know my moods better than the others. And if you ever tell them that I will deny it.” He laughed at that. “Okay I get it.” “So, I just think it would be nice to start a family and to have your child first.” He looked at me but I had no clue what he was thinking, his eyes where blank it was like he was playing poker or something. He didn’t give anything away.
“Are you still on birth control.” Was his next question? “I am.” “Oh” “Stop with this one letter answers. What do you think?” “What do I think of having a baby with you as soon as possible?” He asked like he didn’t understand the question. “Yes, Enzo how do you feel about that?” “Well, my father did ask me Friday night if you are pregnant when I told him we are getting married and I’m taking your surname.” “Oh my God he thought I was pregnant and that is why you are marrying me?” “Yes, he did but I put him in his place.” “Oh, but you are still not answering my question Enzo. I’m dead serious. I want to have a baby with you.” He unbuckled my seatbelt and lifted me out of my chair putting me in his lap. He kissed me in my neck and as he pulled me down, he whispered in my ear “I would love to have a baby with you, I think you should stop your birth control right now and we can start practicing if we are lucky, you are pregnant when we go back to Chicago.” I had to laugh “You know it doesn’t happen that quickly, right?” “You never know I can have very strong swimmers.” I laughed again. When I finally stopped laughing, I asked him “Are you serious?” “Dead serious angel I would love to have children with you and I would love that the first child you have is mine. I will carry you on my hands if I have to.” “See that is why I knew you would look after me. I know the others will probably look after me to but not nearly as much as you would.”
“I don’t want to make you change your mind but John will do almost anything for you if he could carry the child he most probable will.” “Oh, I wouldn’t have thought that.” “You are underestimating the others angel. I would be honored to be a father first.” “But how are we going to do that Enzo, to make sure it’s your child, I’m I not going to sleep with any of the others until I’m pregnant what are we going to do?” “You have heard about condoms, right?” “Off course but will they be happy about it?” “Well angel if you are wanting to have a child with John next then I’ll have to wear a condom to, it’s just how things will have to work. There is no way around it and believe me none of us will give up sex with you until you are pregnant with one of the others babies so it’s condoms from here on out for them.” “Should we have a conversation with them before we start practicing for a baby or me even going of birth control?” “No, I don’t think so, do you want to?” He put the ball right back in my court. “No Enzo to tell you the truth all I can think about now is going to that room and starting practicing for that baby.” “Well come on nothing is stopping us.” I totally forget I was in an airplane I forgot everything. Enzo and I decided I will stop taking birth control and we are starting with a family. I was on cloud 9.
