Chapter 204

Blue was supposed to wait for Maren to come out of the bathroom so they could go downstairs together. But he didn't wait.

He left the room first, thinking of how to announce to everyone that he didn't want to break up with his mate anymore.

He paused at the foot of the stairs, watching everyone go about their day around the living room.

He wondered if he had sex glow, would they know what he did? Did they hear?

Heat crept up his cheeks as he recalled what he'd done last night and that morning, his body tingling with the aftermath of Maren's breakfast.

He looked from Bianca to Nixxon, wondering who he'd talk to first.

Maybe Nixxon.

He'd handle it less dramatically than Bianca.

"Blue, I was just coming to you," Neireda suddenly grabbed Blue's arm from the side and pulled him toward the living room.

"Oh, me? Why?" Blue asked, glancing around the living room and smiling at Naomi and Isolde who were looking at him as he was dragged along the room.

"Ah, Blue, you're awake. Long night?" Bianca asked, uncrossing her legs and sitting up on the sofa.

Blue gulped, thinking about how long his night trymy was.

"Um. Not really. Morning Nixxon, Vernon, guys," He waved from Nixxon and Vernon to Armani and the guys, all the while trying to take his hands off Neireda's surprising iron grip.

"Sleep well?" Nixxon asked, leaning against Vernon's side.

"He looks well," Vernon said, narrowing his eyes at Blue.

Blue coughed to cover his awkwardness, facing Neireda with a furrowed brow.

"What do you want, Neireda," he asked between clenched teeth.

Neireda smiled, "It's not what I want... It's what you want. What you've always wanted." Slowly, she raised her other hand in front of Blue and showed him the two green bracelets on her hand.

Blue frowned, taking a step back from her, "What are those?" He asked apprehensively.

He stared at the green bracelets, which were composed of polished stones that looked like solidified mist or light captured from an ancient forest.

He didn't trust them as they looked magical, and coming from a witch, his fear was justified.

"Vanity bracelets," Bianca replied beside him, standing on her feet to take the bracelets from Neureda.

"We, as a family, came together and put your request into consideration. After much pondering on your problem, we decided to resort to these," she jiggled the bracelets in front of Blue.

Blue took another step back, glancing around the room to find out that everyone was staring at him, waiting for what would happen next.

"What is my problem?" Blue asked, blinking slowly.

"Freedom. You wanted to be free from Maren, didn't you," Neireda asked.

Blue went still, his heart hammering in his chest as he realised what those vanity bracelets might just represent.

"I –"

"We wanted to finally free you from Maren, so we sent Neireda underwater, and she retrieved these vanity bracelets. The moment you and Maren wear them around your wrists, every memory of the other will be permanently wiped," Bianca explained.

Neireda nodded in agreement, "As long as you don't take it off, Maren will remain a stranger to you for all eternity –"

"What's going on?" Maren suddenly asked, striding over to stand behind Blue, gently wrapping his arm around his waist and pulling him away from the witches that were tormenting him.

"You didn't wait, Baby," Maren whispered, kissing the side of Blue's neck.

Blue gulped, his cheeks flushing from shyness and guilt of having his friends find out this way.

"Well... it looks like they won't be needing the vanity bracelets anymore," Dante said, smirking at Blue's flushed face.

"Vanity bracelets?" Maren asked, staring at Neireda in questioning.

"Vanity bracelets?" Neireda turned to Bianca, looking confused like she had no idea of what they were talking about.

"Ah!" Bianca snapped her fingers, smiling widely at Nixxon, who was shaking his head at her.

"It was all Nixxon's idea. He wanted to find a simple gift for your reunion so we chose this on Amazon. We hope you love our gifts," Bianca went to give Maren the bracelets but Blue gently pulled Maren away, frowning.

"Don't touch it. It's a trick, they want us to forget each other," Blue said, glaring at the bracelets.

Maten smiled behind Blue, hugging him from behind, "So you don't want to forget me?" He asked huskily, pulling Bkue flush against his front.

"Stop it," Blue whispered to Maren.

"Aww, look at them. Barely able to stay away from each other," Bianca said softly, her smile genuinely happy.
