I pressed myself further on him, feeling his body heat grow stronger.
I heard his heartbeat get faster. With my gaze still on him, I saw his eyes go slightly wider when he felt my body on his.
Does he feel something for me?
I want to know!
I shift on his lap when he grabbed my waist out of the blue, slamming his hands on either sides
“Ep!!!” I let out a meek gasp as I felt the electric current run through my body when he made my skin giggle. Instantly after that he picked himself and me up from the ground and once we both were standing , he put me down, my feet gently touching the ground.
“I just came to check if you were doing okay,” He stepped back, “And now that I have, I’m going to work.”
“Oh! Wait-” I wanted to talk to him more but he chose not to wait at all. He turned around and bolted out of there. I say bolted, but it just felt like he ran away when in reality he simply walked out.
I let out a sigh
I think it worked. He seemed nervous.
I might just need to be a little more aggressive with my methods. I pursed my lips and twiddled with my thumbs
I felt something on me.

I shot my head around and flinched.

The maids were staring at me
“Ah!” I panicked, “I-I fell,” I tried to explain, “Azef just helped me…”
They didn’t say anything in return, “Hmmm,” Just nodded their heads and went out.

I hope they don’t think bad of me! I can’t have the people here think bad of me when I’m trying to seduce their beta!!
The pack members were busy with their usual evening routines, some preparing dinner, others chatting in small groups. I wandered through the house, my thoughts consumed by Azef. Despite the closeness we'd shared lately, I realized there was so much I still didn't know about him.
When I began to think about wanting to seduce him or flirt with him, the problem lies with wanting to get closer and then realizing I know nothing about him.
I thought about it a lot, and then it crossed my mind that I’m at a place where I have the opportunity to learn about him, so why not take it?
Determined to bridge that gap, I decided to ask the other pack members about him. My heart fluttered nervously at the thought. I wasn't exactly sure how to go about it, and I didn't want to seem too obvious, but I didn’t want to miss the chance.
Taking a deep breath, I made my way to the kitchen where a few workers were chopping vegetables and preparing dinner
"Hi," I said, stepping into the room. My voice came out a little softer than I intended, but it got their attention.
A woman named Lila looked up from her chopping and smiled warmly. "Hello miss! Can we help you with something?"
I shifted on my feet, feeling a bit self-conscious. "Actually, I was wondering if I could ask you about something.” I was nervous,
“Hmm? Sure,” She seemed friendly enough.
I let out a soft deep breath and walked over to the counter where she was.
“Yes?” She looked at me while I stared at her nervously.
“Could you tell me a little about Azef? Like, what he likes and stuff."
Lila raised an eyebrow, a knowing smile creeping onto her lips. "Oh? Interested in our Beta, are you?"

My cheeks burned, and I looked down at my hands, twiddling my fingers. "W-well, he's been really kind to me, and I just... I want to get to know him better." I then waved my hands in denial, “I just- it’s nothing like that,” I shook them, “I just want to thank him!”
Another worker, a young man named Ben, chuckled as he came over with a box in his hands, "Beta Azef, huh?” He stopped by the counter, “Well, you've come to the right place. We've known him for years."
Feeling a bit more at ease, I smiled and nodded. "Oh! Great. So, what does he like? Favorite foods? Hobbies?" I hope I’m not being obvious.
Lila set her knife down and leaned against the counter, thinking. "The Beta has always been a bit of a mystery, even to us. But we do know he has a soft spot for simple, hearty meals. He loves anything with a lot of meat. Stuff like, roasts, things like that."
Meat
Ah!!
His fridge was full of meat. And then again, he’s a wolf, so that’s a given too.
"I see," I said, making a mental note. "What about hobbies? What does he do when he's not leading the pack or... saving people from Komodo dragons?" I added with a small laugh, trying to lighten the mood.
Lila chuckled, “I heard one entered your room,”
“Yea… Azef took care of it.” I paused, “Come to think of it, I screamed pretty loudly, why didn’t anyone else come to me?”
Lila and Ben exchanged glances, then looked at me, “Because the Beta told us not to,”
“Yes?” I blinked at them in confusion, “When?”
“Oh, right, she’s human, so she doesn’t know about that.” Ben said, “We mind-link, it’s like telepathy.”
“OH!”
“When you screamed, we immediately linked our minds to see what was wrong, and he told us he was handling it so no one needed to come.” Ben said,
“Oh, I see,” I nodded my head. That was good. It could have turned weird if someone saw him naked in my room.
Ben grinned as he looked at me. "He likes to run, as you probably know. It's his way of clearing his head.”
“Oh yes,” I smiled, “He took me out to make me feel better too.” I placed my hand on my chest, “It was nice,”
Lila nodded. "And he has a sweet tooth.”

“Wait, really?” I felt excited to hear that, “He doesn’t look like someone with a sweet tooth!”
“He doesn’t show it,” Ben added
They chuckled, “Yes, he loves anything with chocolate. We sometimes bake cookies or cakes, and he always sneaks a piece or two."
I smiled, imagining Azef trying to stealthily grab a piece of chocolate cake. The idea of it was so cute, I couldn’t help but snicker, “That’s so cute!!”
“Don’t tell him we told you that,” Lila said,
“I won’t,” I shook my head, "Thank you, this really helps. I just want to do something nice for him, you know?"
Lila's eyes softened. "I think that's wonderful. Beta Azef is a great person and a good man. He deserves someone who cares about him as much as he cares about the pack."
Feeling a surge of gratitude and determination, I nodded. "Thank you, both of you. I really appreciate it."
“No problem,” Lila said and Ben passed me a smile then walked away, “If you would like to use the kitchen sometime, I’ll be happy to help.”
I nodded at her happily, “Thank you!” I stepped back, “I’ll think about what to do, then I’ll let you know,”
She began to chop again, “Sure,” There was something about the way she was chopping though.
Wow
Her way of doing it is so delicate… It almost looks creepy.
But oh well, She must be a good cook.
I turned around and left.

"The guest Beta Azef brought, she's trying to please him, isn't she?" The maids were chattering amongst themselves in the kitchen
“Certainly looks like it,” Lila said as she cooked, “She looks so sweet,” Miss Sera had just left the kitchen and the workers started talking about her.
"It's the first time the Beta brought someone to the pack." Ben washed the dishes, “Could it be that he likes her?”
“Isn’t she the daughter of that man who stole ‘Kookie’?”
“Oh, you’re right, maybe he’s only keeping her so he can get ‘Kookie’ back?”
"But I heard she also lived with him in his house " Hoor said, “I doubt he’d give a random woman a place in his house,”
“Could there be something between them?”
“Well, the Beta already lost his mate, he can choose to be with someone if he wants,”
“Can he though? He’s got a responsibility on his head.”
“But Sera looks like a good person.”
“But she’s a human.”
“But, she already knows about us, besides, the Alpha’s mate is a human too.”
“Miss Sera fits in the misfits criteria.” Kiana said, “She’s had a rough life, like the rest of us.”
“I know right! This is why I like her.”
“But she’s not like us,” Lila said, “We’re all trained killers,”
“Right… I don’t think she’s capable of killing anyone… She couldn’t even deal with that komodo dragon that came into her room.”
Right, when she screamed like that, it was something very odd. Everyone here is more than capable of handling their problems, so hearing a scream was like hearing an alarm.
It made all of us pause and take our claws and the weapons that we hide in our clothes out, thinking it was an emergency and we needed to kill an intruder.
Beta Azef immediately contacted us all through the mind-link and told us it was nothing to worry about as soon as he entered her room and we all calmed down and let him handle it.
“And yet the Beta ran to help her! Doesn’t that mean he likes her?”
“You’re right, she seems to hold a special place for him.”
“It would be good if Beta Azef chooses a mate for himself, it’s time he moves on,”
“What will we do about Alpha Zena?”
“....” The place grew silent at the mention of Alpha Zena. It seems we all agree about something on her part.
“Seraphina seems to have caught Beta’s eyes.” I said, “He even chose to help her by himself when the komodo dragon came into her.”
“You’re right!”
"Hehehe, should we help her out?" Everyone chose to ignore Alpha Zena
"Hehe, should we?"
