Helen's POV
I started feeling restless after Ryan and Brianna left the house. It was unusual for me to feel this way so I turned on the light and just kept sighing.
Should I have just gone with them from the start? If I did, I wouldn't be feeling so restless right now. I stood up and went to the kitchen to drink water and I returned upstairs.
Instead of going to my room, I went to Ryan's room instead. Brianna told me before that Ryan didn't like anyone going into his room, I wonder what he's hiding.
As I looked around, my eyes caught something on the floor that was glittering. I moved closer to pick it up only to discover that it was a necklace.
Why would Ryan just throw his necklace on the floor like this? I guess a guy will still be a guy no matter how wealthy he is. They are just too unkempt.
I dropped the necklace on the bedside table and was about walking out of the room when I stopped in my tracks.
I ran back to where the necklace was and checked the letter on it. It was the letter "J". Why is it J and not R or S? As far as I know, Ryan's name has nothing to do with the letter J so how come.....?
Justin? The guy that tried to rape Brianna few days ago was Justin so is this what the J means? If it really is the meaning, then it means he was here but when?
I don't think it's been long ago considering the fact that the necklace is still here. This is just making me more anxious. I should confirm with my own eyes that Brianna is safe.
I returned to my room and changed my clothes after which I went outside.
"Miss Brianna ordered us to make sure you don't leave the house" a guard said
"Just forget her order for now. Ryan and Brianna might be in danger so we have no time to waste" I said and got into the car
After few minutes, we arrived at the place the other guards that Ryan took with him described for us.
"What of Ryan and Brianna?" I asked hurriedly
"They are inside" one of them answered
"I need to see them with my own two eyes" I said and tried to go in but they stopped me
"What are you doing?" I asked
"Sir Ryan told us not to go in unless he calls for us and we've been standing guard here so there's no way we won't know if something happens" they said
"That doesn't matter to me right now. Ryan and Brianna are in danger so open the goddamn gate" I screamed and pushed them away
"They are in danger?" they mumbled but I didn't answer them
I don't know if they are in trouble or not but I have to make sure with my own eyes that they are safe.
When I got inside, it was pitch black. How can this place be so dark if people are inside? I noticed there were about 5 doors there and I didn't know which one to open.
I started from the one closest to me and I only saw things that they stores until I got to the last room. The last room was surprisingly darker than the other room so I turned on my phone light.
"Have you seen them?" a guard asked and I turned around to answer him for a moment
"I haven't....." I looked back inside again now that my phone light was on and the words got stuck in my throat
"Miss Helen? Miss Helen?" the guards called my name until they got to where I was standing
"W...what is this?" the guards stuttered and moved closer to check
The smell of blood and blood itself filled everywhere. There were dead bodies in every corner of the room and my heart didn't stop beating faster than usual.
"What is going on?" I asked in fear
Was this why I was feeling restless? Brianna didn't tell me that they were going to do something dangerous.
"Find them! Search every corner and track their phone. Do anything you can and find them now!" I screamed at the guards
They split themselves into groups and started looking for a way to find out where Ryan and Brianna were. Some tried to track their phone location while some searched the building.
"There is a path that leads outside this place. I think this was where they passed since we never saw them outside" a guard said
"What are you waiting for then? Let's go!" I said
We followed the track and after walking for a few minutes, we saw some people from a distance. We moved discreetly and tried to study the situation first and we discovered that Brianna and Ryan were outnumbered by Justin's men.
"If we attack from behind, we will be surrounding them right?" I asked the guards
"Yes but it won't be easy to defeat them since they are many. We will try our best though" one of them said
"Good! We need to help Ryan and Brianna out and nothing must happen to both of them" I said
Brianna and Ryan charged forward and I signalled the men to make their move too.
Brianna's POV
"What was that? Who shot the gun?" I asked and turned around
"I think the gunshot was behind Justin and his men". Ryan said and tried to look ahead to see what was going on
Few minutes later, we saw Helen and the other guards with Helen standing at the front.
"What is she doing here?" I mumbled to myself
"We are going to fight till the end and make sure Ryan and Brianna return home safely" Helen said
"Helen, please go back. It's too dangerous for you to be here" I screamed for her too hear
"Nothing is too dangerous for me when it comes to you" she screamed back
"We can't let Justin take advantage of this situation. I will keep an eye on Helen so just take care of yourself and make sure you don't get hurt" Ryan said
"No, I will take care of Helen since she's my sister. You are just recovering so take care of yourself instead" I said
"Can you at least listen to me for once? You've done so much for me but I haven't done anything at all. Please give me the chance to do something for you this once" he pleaded
"You are sounding like we won't be together after this fight and it's scaring me more" I confessed
"I promise to return to you safely. Please do the same and be safe for me" he said and left
The fight soon started and guns were flying out in different directions. It was a bloody battle and somehow, I just wished everything would end.
Once we finish with this, I will ask Ryan to give up the cartel and live a quiet life. Being a Mafia boss is too stressful.
