Chapter 7

Vega

Vega and his mate, Celeste, had one pup who unfortunately was killed in a rouge attack when he was thirteen. Since he didn’t have a wolf to heal him, he succumbed to his injuries. Celeste was heartbroken, they tried to have another pup after a few years but after two miscarriages, she gave up. She tried to get past it, but she still wanted a house full of children to love.

Vegas was on a mission taking down supernatural traffickers when he came across the twins, Austin and Rollins. They’d been taken from their pack after it’d been burned to the ground by the traffickers. They had no other living relatives and would be taken to a wolfen orphanage. They were around six months old, Vega snapped a quick picture and sent it to his mate, who ordered him to bring those babies home to their new mama. They would become her baby boys. When he told her that he was on the way home with them, she went out and nearly bought out the whole baby store. She had to have everything delivered but made sure that the store had everything delivered the same day as her babies would be home tomorrow. She and the whole pack house were working non-stop to get the nursery set up and prepare a welcome home party for her boys, the pack’s future.

Vega purchased car seats, pj’s, diapers, baby wipes and other needed things for the flight home. Thankfully, his lead warrior’s wife and a few other females who were more than happy to help Vega with their new little pack members. By the time Vega arrived home, Celeste had the nursery ready along with a special welcome breakfast.

“Where are my baby boys?” Celeste demanded excitedly followed by the house omegas. Everyone was so excited. Vega handed his mate Aden who quickly laid his little head on her shoulder and nuzzled into the crook of her neck. Rollins didn’t want to be left out and started crying and giving his mama grabby hands. Jane, the warrior who was carrying him, walked Rollins over to his mama. Celeste gladly took Rollins in her arms, and he nuzzled in on her other shoulder. “My babies,” she whispered to them.

Vega walked over to his mate and his son’s and wrapped them all in a big hug, “you’re safe now.” He whispered to them. “Our family is complete.” He told his mate.

“No, we still need a little female,” she chuckled.

“I’ll see what I can do.” He chortled.

“Luna, I have breakfast ready for our little males.” Mary the kitchen manager told her with a huge smile.

“Thank you, Mary.” Celeste said, walking to the dining room.

Vega took Rollins from his mama and rubbed his little back, “hey little man, are you hungry?” He asked him.

Rollins picked up his head, “ungwie,” he chirped.

“Let’s get you two babies something to eat.” Celeste cooed.

Celeste fawned over her two sons. Vega just watched his mate take care the boys. He also knew that she wanted a little girl. In his line of work, he was bound to come across an orphan little she-wolf. Vega and Celeste raised Austin and Rollins as their own and started training them when they turned ten. They became his best warriors by the time they turned sixteen and shifted. They started going with him on his missions when they turned seventeen and became his top Elite Warriors and led their own teams.

Eight years ago, Vega and the twins were on a mission to hunt down rogues that kept trying to take over one of the smaller packs a few hundred miles away from Elite Moon. When they arrived, they quickly dispatched the rogue pack and found where they were staying. They found over twenty-five females that had been taken from their homes. As they walked through the camp and the surrounding area, Vega found a small female tied to a tree. “Austin, Rollins! Get over here! NOW!” He bellowed. Both boys stopped what they were doing and went to their dad.

“What happened?” Rollins asked, as Vega motioned for them to step closer and saw a frail small, she-wolf tied to a tree.

“Is she dead?” Austin asked in whisper.

“No, she’s alive but barely, have the pack doctor ready. She needs treatment so we don’t lose her.” Vega ordered. Austin ran off to find someone to contact the doctor, Rollins untied the female but when his hand grazed her arm she screamed in panic and started punching and kicking him. Using the distraction, Vega leaned down, wrapped his arms around her holding her tight, he picked her up and close to his chest, “sshh...” he whispered, “you’re safe. No one’s gonna hurt you anymore,” he assured her as he gently carried her to the pack hospital. She struggled to get out of his arms but after being given a sedative she calmed down and fell asleep.

When he got to the pack house, Austin and the pack doctor were waiting for his dad to arrive with the female. “We need help NOW!” Vega bellowed, making the medical staff jump and quickly went into action. Vega gently placed the female on the gurney and allowed the medical staff to do their job. “You will provide her the best care.” he stated, glaring at the doctor and his staff.

“Alpha Vega,” the doctor stuttered, “she’s a rogue.”

Vega growled at him, wrapping his hand around the doctor’ throat, “she’s an innocent young female who’s been beaten and abused by the actual rogues we just dispatched.” He snarled at the doctor who he had lifted off his feet. “Now, you will provide her with the same care as you would for any other pack member. If not, you will answer to me.” He warned, and not to mention your Luna. The doctor was trying to answer but he was still being choked by Vega.

“Dad, you need to let him go so he can help her.” Austin told his dad, placing his hand on his shoulder. Vega was breathing hard and squeezing the doctor’s throat. “Dad, let him go.” Austin ordered his dad. Vega turned his head and glared at his son. “Dad, if you want him to help her, you need to let him go.”

Vega sighed and slowly released the hold he had on the doctor’s neck. He dropped the doctor and glared at him. “You will treat her as if she was your own pup. Do I make myself clear?” He growled.

“Y-y-yes Alpha Vega, my apologies.” The doctor said his voice was still low due to being choked. He quickly turned and rushed to the treatment room barking orders.

Austin and Rollins watched their dad carefully; they weren’t sure why he was reacting this way. She was just another victim they rescued. Vega was quiet and pacing, his wolf was snarling, he wanted to kill the ones who harmed the little female. “Dad, what’s going on with ya?” Rollins asked. “Do you know her?”

“I don’t know but my wolf feels very protective of her. He’s ready to kill all those rogues.” He sighed. “I’ve already contacted your mom. She’ll be here in a couple of hours with Doc Jude and a medical transport.” He told his sons. “I need for you two to make sure that the rogues get to the wolfen prison, and the rogue victims are taken care of and get back to their home pack or back to the counsel so they can figure out what they want to do.”

“We will go get all that done now so we can be here when mom arrives.” Austin said, giving his dad a side smile.

“So, dad, does this mean we have a little sister?” Rollis chuckled.

“Yes, there’s something about her that draws my wolf to her.” He rubbed his face.

“Well, there’s always a reason for everything, the Goddess knows what she’s doing.” Rollins told his dad and hugged him. “We’ll see ya later, keep us posted, ole man.” Vega nodded and snickered at his boys and continued to pace the room.
