Chapter 312 Flirt

Chapter 312 Flirt
ADRIANA

We decided on the best place to start the search. The car.

If there was anywhere that men knew anything, it was always in the bar. And who could resist two good looking women?

Although those women were already known as the Beta and the Queen.

“I don't know. I don't think anyone is going to want to tell us anything. I mean, it's pretty obvious who we are.”

Hazel, who still had food in her mouth, turned to me.

“We’re on the coast..it's like a whole new world out here. Don't worry. They know you exist, they just don't know you.”

Really?

“Are you sure? I don't want to scare off any potential help.”

She dropped the chicken bone that she had finished devouring.

“Trust me, I'm sure. The Chief here reports to the nearby Alpha who then reports to the King. It's a long chain of command and they're not bothered to find out who's behind it. Like I said, they know you exist, they just don't know you.”

Well, this should be fun. It would be nice to enter a place for once and not be the center of attraction. Just a normal lady coming for a drink.

“What about you? Do they know you?”

She choked on her drink.

“Everyone knows me. I'm the Beta. But you, they don't know. Which is why you'll be going by yourself.”

My resolve suddenly dropped.

“What did you say? There's no way, absolutely no way that I'm going in myself. I don't know who's in there. There could be criminals, murderers, rapists!”

“It’s a bar, not a convention for wrong-doers.” She rolled her eyes. “There could also be doctors and lawyers there. Get going, you don't want to miss rush hour.”

She threw me out to the wind like she didn't care about me.

I just stood in front of the bar like a kid on her first day of school. What the hell do I do here?

I'd never been to a bar before.

Oh well, I guess there was a first time for everything.

I went inside and ran into the beaded curtains.

Thankfully, it was rush hour so no one saw that.

The place was filled to the brim. It was hot and it smelled of body odor, sweat and men.

We had definitely come to the right bar. Because we needed information and hopefully, they'd give it to me.

I removed the pin that was holding my hair together. Lana had made it a habit to grab my hair for fun so I took it away from her.

Since I didn't think that I would have to be doing this alone, I dressed the normal way I have been dressing..

I don't think it was obvious that I was the Queen but then, it was pretty obvious that I didn't belong here.

There was an open seat at the bar and I rushed to it.

I turned around and used my eyes to scan the bar. There was a group of school boys in the corner. They seemed to be the ones making the most noise and taking up most of the space.

“What can I get you?”

The bartender's voice scared the crap out of me and I had to hold my chest so that my heart wouldn't fall out.

“Relax, beautiful. What's got your panties in a twist?”

I could tell from a million miles away that he was sky high but that had nothing to do with me.

“Water. Get me water.”

He laughed so loud that it attracted the attention of people sitting close to us. Talk about embarrassment.

“You’re at a bar and you're ordering water? What are you, my mum?”

Well, from the looks of it, I could be his mum.

But he has a point. I had to fit in.

“Give me something that's not too strong, just for a start.”

As he walked away, he muttered something but I didn't hear it and I didn't even bother to think about it.

So how was I going to start a conversation here?.

My phone pinged and it was a message from Hazel.

“Flirt.”

Well, it wasn't exactly very easy for me to do that.

I wouldn't be surprised that as soon as someone came to speak to me, Elijah would appear out of nowhere and beat him to a pulp.

Suddenly, the door swung open and some huge men entered the room.

They were all wearing the same leather jacket and had the same tattoo on their neck.

They were surely in some type of gang.

The bartender brought my drink and I sniffed it before bringing it to my lips.

The first sip didn't burn my throat or chest so I took another sip and placed the shot glass back on the table.

The plan was not to get drunk.

I felt a hand over my shoulder, going down to my breasts.

“Hey beautiful, want some company?”

I hadn't even turned around and I could already smell the terrible stench of alcohol and mouth odor.

If I dared to turn around, then I might probably die.

I tried to lift his hand from my shoulder but his hold was too strong and his hand was getting nearer and nearer to my breasts.

“Let me go.”

“Why should I? Don't you want to have some fun?”

When his hand finally landed on my breast and groped it, I didn't know when I grabbed the bottle close to me and smashed it into his head.

He fell to the floor obviously bleeding from the wound.

“You stupid bitch! How-”

I put my leg on top of him as he tried to stand up.

“Shut up and stay down.”

Of course, everyone has stopped what they were doing and they are now looking at the sight before them.

Oh well, so much for blending in.

Screw it.

Hazel ran in and saw the commotion.

“As you can all see, I'm not in a good mood. So I'll be asking questions while this bastard on the floor bleeds. Who knows Tobias Harrison?”

No one said anything.
