Chapter 130 Plan for the Pack

Chapter 130 Plan for the Pack
ADRIANA

Yara wasn’t joking when she said that a lot of people wouldn’t be happy with my return to this place.

What was I expecting though? A warm welcome with open arms?

Even though I got into the pack at night, there were still many people outside to see my return and witness what was happening.

When my father was still Alpha, the pack had a curfew that everyone followed religiously. By nine pm, no one could be seen on the streets but it was almost midnight and it didn’t seem like night at all with how many people were out.

As I walked into the pack grounds, I received stares from every direction. But no one moved a muscle and the fact that I could now hear what they were thinking wasn’t exactly helpful to my state of mind.

In general, they were all saying the same thing over and over. How I had the guts to return and how I only came back because my father was dead and buried. They felt betrayed by my presence.

Betrayed? If anything, I should be the one who felt like I was betrayed because all these people stood back and watched as I was abused and beaten by the people I called family and they did absolutely nothing to help me!

And now, they have the guts to look at me like I did something wrong by leaving?

Being back here brought memories to me that I didn’t want to face. Memories that I had tried so hard to bury so I could move on with my life but now, they were resurfacing and so was the anger I felt back then.

That was resurfacing too and I could feel it burning in my chest.

“If anyone has anything to say, they should step forward and speak their mind clearly.”

I knew it would not be very long until those damn elders heard about my return and waddled their sorry old asses over to me to spill crap about how I shouldn’t be here.

But I was ready for them this time. Maybe it was one of them I would use as scapegoats for what was about to happen.

“Why did you return now that your father died? Why didn’t you come back when you were supposed to be there for him to save him from whatever killed him?”

I hated the fact that they felt very obliged to tell me what to do with my life.

“Each and every one of you knows what I went through in the hands of the man I called father and my sister. Not one of you said a single word or raised a finger to save me from their abuse! And yet, you want me to have saved the same man that made me hate myself?”

They didn’t seem very confident anymore after I said that.

“If anyone has an issue with my return, be rest assured that you are free to leave this pack and not return ever. If you return, you will not be welcome here. If you try to raise any trouble for me, you will not be pardoned. As you showed me no mercy, I would not hesitate to show you none. You think my father ruled with an iron fist? Watch me.”

Elijah’s guards were behind me as I marched to the house with purpose.

“It’s like you were made for this role.”

That’s because I was. I wouldn’t let anyone torment me anymore. No matter who it was, I was ready for them.

As expected, the elders were already at the house when I got there waiting for me.

“What are you doing here? What makes you think you can come back here after the trouble you caused this pack? Do you know what we had to go through because of you?!”

Of course, I had to deal with these men as well and their accusations.

In all honesty, I didn’t want to waste my time with them.

“Trouble? I didn’t bring this pack any trouble whatsoever. Instead, I brought them what they deserved.”

People from the pack had gathered to see how the elders would shamefully disgrace me out of the pack. Well, I had something else up my sleeve.

“It may interest each and every one of you here that the doom that befell your pack and the doom that’s to come is all as a result of your former Alpha’s greed. He was a member of the Antil Cult—”

“Nonsense!” The Elders shut me up immediately.

Wow, so they knew of his involvement all along. Interesting.

“So you knew…”

However, I was sure that the people had no idea who was ruling them all this time.

“Your former Alpha was a member of the dreaded Antil Cult and he alone is the reason for your downfall and misfortune. And from the look of things, the elders knew too.”

I was going to need to find proof to back up my claims and right now, I didn’t think I had anything concrete to offer them.

“You can control them.”

Before I could ask Yara what she meant by that, someone from the crowd spoke up.

“Where is your proof?! You can’t just make accusations like this without evidence.”

Just as I thought they would react.

“What did you mean when you said I could control them?”

“You can control the things they say. Just wish it and it’ll happen.”

I closed my eyes and let Yara take over completely.

The moment I did, I felt a surge of power flow through my body like nothing I had ever experienced before.

My eyes glowed as Yara’s presence took control and I could feel the power radiating from me. The elders took a step back in fear as they realized what was happening. I raised my hand and pointed at the head elder, the one who had always been the cruelest to me when I was younger.

“Tell them the truth,” I commanded, and I watched as his mouth opened against his will. The words spilled out of him like water from a broken dam, confessing everything about my father’s involvement with the Antil Cult, about how they had covered it up for years, about how they had turned a blind eye to my abuse because they feared my father’s wrath and his connections.

The crowd gasped in horror as the truth was revealed, and I felt a sense of satisfaction wash over me.

And this was just the beginning of what I planned to do with this pack.
