Chapter 99 Breakfast
Coban's POV
After Trixie and I had our shower, yeah we took a little extra time. I just know Caden is cussing me out in five different languages. I don't care though. I'm so glad we found her. That she's actually here with us.
Trixie and I get ready and the three of us head towards the dining room where everyone just walked in and is taking their seat.
"Good Morning Kings, Queen." Everyone says as we enter the room. All three of us hand in hand and wrapped all up together.
"Well, don't you three just look so adorable walking in here together like that." Margaret says as she has the biggest smile on her face.
"Thank you Marg. Good morning. I hear you all are leaving us after breakfast." Trixie says to them.
"Yeah, we found out some disturbing information yesterday. Long story short, Alpha Blake sent in warriors to take over our pack. So your man there" Calvin pointed at Caden "arranged a small surprise for him and his warriors." Calvin laughs then continues to eat his eggs and bacon.
"What was this said surprise. Do tell. Inquiring minds do want to know." Trixie says as she gives Calvin a shit eating grin.
"Let's just say that they weren't ready to face 50 Lycans head on." Caden laughs and kisses Trixie on the nose.
As we eat our breakfast, I have Trixie on my lap as usual, feeding her. We all break out in discussions of what happened yesterday and all the information that we found out about dear ole daddy.
"No!!! No way in hell." Trixie screams as she's giving Caden the death stare.
"No what little mouse. What has you so upset." Caden asks her as he reaches up and cups her cheeks with his hands.
"Trinity. She can't come here. I don't want her here. If she comes, I'm leaving!" She yells angrily while she stares daggers right at him, starting to get up off my lap.
I wrap my arms around her and pull her back down.
"My love, I was aware of this part but I did say specifically that she was not welcome here or anywhere near the three of us." I tell her gently, she finally loosens back up and slouches back on to me.
"Thank you babe." She kissed my cheek and turned to give Caden yet another dirty look.
"Hey little mouse, I was never going to let her around us. That was never my intentions. I made that obviously clear to Benjamin in the letter we sent him and we went as far as to inform him why. So he does know what she done to you." He says softly as they stare into eachothers eyes.
"huh hum" Travis clears his throat loudly, scratching the top of his head.
"What could you possibly want." Calvin says as he's still staring at Trixie. You can tell he doesn't want to leave her. It's breaking his heart knowing he has to.
"So, has he actually responded?" Travis asked.
"Yeah, he sent a fucking talking carrier pigeon with a note this morning." Calvin says as he rolls his eyes.
"What was the note for? You said that it was a talking pigeon. Couldn't it just tell us or did it speak Spanish?" Trixie smirks. She's just waiting for Calvin to have a comeback. Her brow is raised and she's staring at him.
Full on belly laughs at the display from these two. I don't think their was a dry eye in the room.
The room was still filled with laughter and playful banter when a phone rang. Everyone starts to quiet down as the ringtone of said phone is different. They all start looking around as Caden reaches in his pocket and pulls out the ringing phone and hands it to me. He then nods his head, signaling me to answer it.
"Hello is this you." I say not addressing myself as I usually would incase the phone got into the wrong hands.
"Yes, it's Benjamin, whom am I having the pleasure of speaking with." He asks.
"Coban, but Caden is at my side along with a small group from the White Claw Pack. Do you mind if I put you on speaker so Caden can talk to you as well." I ask. Knowing he has me on speaker phone because face it, one can tell.
"Yeah, that's fine. I have you on speaker as well. Zak and a few of my warriors are here as well." He said matter of factly.
"I take it you got our message. Look, I want to start off by saying my brother and I are truly sorry. We were not aware of any of this until yesterday." I explain to him.
"Yeah, I get it. You both were just a year older than Brandi was when that shit went down. Clearly not your fault. I want to apologize to you as well for taking it out on both of you. I insinuated that you two were in on it not fully thinking it through. I do greatly appreciate the warning. Alpha Blake was wanting us to attack the palace and break his daughter out of your dungeon. By the way his daughter is a damn psychopath, thinking that I would ever be with her." You can tell his temper was really flaring at just the thought of Lydia and what she said.
"Grab her ass man, it helps calm you and your wolf down." Caden jumps in and says.
Everyone literally choked at his statement. Food flew from a few mouths as coffee spewed from others.
"What! Yesterday had me pissed. I grabbed my little mouse's ass and I instantly calmed down." Caden defended himself as he shrugged his shoulders.
"Thanks man. Damn, that really helps." Benjamin said. In the background you could hear his men bust a gut laughing so hard and a "hey Benny" was mumbled by Trinity.
Caden sat there with an I told you so look on his face.
Trixie looks over at Caden and shakes her head.
