Chapter 79 Waking Up
Coban's POV
She brought her hand over and cupped our adjoining hands. Then her hand went slack.
She can hear me, My Queen, I knew it.
The sign I asked for. Yeah, she's going to be just fine.
"Hey guys." Roxie says as she comes into the room and walks up to Trixie.
"Oh Shit!" She gasps.
I look up at her as Kevan and Caden both chuckle.
"Her wound, it's healed!!!" She says in awe.
"Yeah and she just moved her hand to grab my hand." I said with pride.
"Hell Yeah!!! That's my girl. Oh, I love her hair. It's cute, it's her!!" She says excitedly.
"You did great!" She said as she put her hand on my shoulder. "She's going to love it!"
We all sat and ate our breakfast. After Trixie gave me that sign I felt much better. I even left her side for a couple minutes to go take a shower and get on clean clothes.
"When are we going to visit the sick fucks in the pit?" Caden asks.
"Today" I say as a smirk appears on my face.
"Really, damn" Caden starts to say as I interrupt him.
"Look, I'm sorry brother. I know I've been acting, well, not like myself." I say shyly and slightly embarrassed.
"No don't please. You reacted very expectedly. You saved yourself for her. Waited for her. Hell, she was even your first kiss. I get it, we all do." Caden says with understanding.
Right when we were in the middle of a heart-felt conversation, we hear a soft, weak cough.
No Way!! Can it be! We both look over at her.
Fuck!!!! Thank you Moon Goddess!!!
Her eyes are open. She's looking right at us.
Damn I missed those eyes.
She coughs quietly again.
I walk over, pick up the glass of water I had waiting just for her and put it to her mouth.
She took a sip, then a bigger drink.
"Thank you, love." She whispers as Caden appears on the bed beside her.
"Hey love." I say softly.
"Welcome back, dove." Caden says as he takes her other hand in his.
"I'm sorry" she whispers.
"What? No love, why are you sorry?" I say as I cup her cheek with my hand.
"A kiss". She whispers.
I look at my brother and back at her.
"She wants a kiss human." Conan says. "Well are you just going to stand there and make our Queen wait?"
I bend down, still cupping her face with my hand and kiss her lips softly, staring right into her big beautiful hazel eyes.
We slowly pull apart. She looks over at Caden.
"A kiss" she whispers.
Caden cups the back of her head and kisses her slowly. That's the gentlest I've ever seen him.
"Thank you." She whispers.
She clears her throat.
"So, what time today are we paying the sick fucks in the pit a visit?" She smirks.
Caden bursts out laughing. A full on, belly laugh. I guess it caught him off guard as well.
She looks over at him and raises a brow.
"Love, you just.." I started to say.
She looked over at me with the same raised brow. A look not to question her. Daring us to say she can't go.
"We're going here shortly love. Would you like some breakfast first?" I say gently to her.
"Sucker" Caden coughs.
She turns to look at him with her brow raised and a stern but sweet innocent look.
"Breakfast sounds wonderful." She says quietly while still giving Caden a death glare. Begging with her eyes for him to question her.
He holds both hands up in surrender.
"Love, we caught.." I begin to say when she interrupted me.
"I know love. I heard. Lydia is in the pit, as well as Zak. Sandi was the one who acted like she was helping Lydia and then ratted her out." She says knowingly.
"Caden" she says as she softens her look.
"It's not your fault. Please, never blame yourself again. I did what I did because Leigha knew it would kill you but wouldn't us. I might not of been able to bring you back. I couldn't take that chance. I had no time to explain. I'm sorry for that, but I'm not sorry for saving My Mate, My King, half of my forever." She said to Caden with tears in her eyes.
"I love you Caden. I'll always protect you, as well as you me." She said as she reached up and kissed his lips. "I love you so much my Dove, My Queen." Caden said to her and kissed her again.
"Coban". She whispers. "Thanks for never leaving my side. For never giving up on me. For talking to me. I heard every word you said. You were the reason I wasn't lonely. The reason I didn't go insane." She says softly.
"Thanks for painting my toenails. They are beautiful, you even picked my favorite color!" She says and pauses. "I love you Coban". She whispers and brings her lips to mine. "Thank you My King".
"I love you more than anything My Queen". I whisper in her ear.
"You might want to wait to thank him, atleast until you see your hair." Caden chuckles.
