Chapter 162 The Call

Chapter 162 The Call

Caden's

All three of us were laying in bed. We were trying to get some rest. Of course that wasn't going to happen.
Atlas and Cassian had different plans. They were both in their beds in the next room. In their room that they barely used as they insisted always being with us.
We ignored their little giggles. They were all right. They were safe. Maybe just maybe they will lay down and go to sleep.
Trixie had her mouth on my cock while her hand was stroking Coban. She took me to the back of her throat and she moaned. The vibrations alone had my eyes rolling back and me about to shoot my load.
"Fuck love" I growled as she cupped my balls and swirled her tongue around the head on my cock. I grabbed ahold of her hair shoving her down to take more as I growled out.
Coban was grunting and moaning as she stroked him, with just enough pressure and speed to have even his eyes roll back. He snaked his arms around her and took her nipples between his fingers. He tugged and squeezed, she moaned around my cock as I was buried once again at the back of her throat. She swallowed and that was my undoing.
"Oh fuck, Trix, I'm going to..." I growled as I tilted my head back and shot my load down her throat.
Coban was two strokes away as she slid her finger across the head of his cock and he emptied himself all over her hand.
She licked me clean then laid back in her spot and looked up at both of us.
Just before any of us could react, Cassian and Atlas demanded attention.
Trixie goes into the next room and gives them both their way once again.
The room was finally settling back into something resembling calm.
Atlas had claimed Coban's chest like a conquered throne. His fists were tangled in his shirt. He was breathing heavy but even.
Cassian was curled against my side. With one small hand gripping my finger like he'd decide I wasn't going somewhere stupid without him.
Trixie laid between us. Her hair was spread over the pillows, her eyes half-lidded, but content. That soft dangerous calm she got when she was relaxed. But never truly off guard.
I was just starting to think we might actually get ten minutes of quiet before my phone started ringing.
Trixie's eyes snapped open instantly. Coban lifted his head, already alert. Atlas huffed, annoyed at the movement and Cassian let out a sharp little sound. Pressure rippling around the room like static. The lights flickered once in warning. "Easy boy. This isn't a threat." I murmured as I brushed his dark curls back.
The screen lit up. Benjamin.
I answered and put him on speaker without hesitation.
"Caden" Benjamin said. His voice was calm. In the background, I could hear the soft clack of plastic toys and Kael's happy noises, completely unbothered by whatever chaos had just unfolded.
"Clarence made his move tonight"
Coban swore quietly.
Benjamin didn't waste time. He told us everything about the explosions. The light shows. The message Clarence wanted delivered loud and clear.
Rogue King
The audacity almost would've been funny if it wasn't so calculated. Benjamin explained how Dante handled it. How Ned confirmed the routes. How they let it play out just enough to sell the illusion.
Then the part that mattered.
"Twelve of them. Seven is breathing. Five made very poor choices." Benjamin said evenly.
Atlas shifted, letting out a low sound that wasn't a baby noise at all. Coban's hand went instinctively to him. Grounding him.
Cassian's eyes were sharp. Too sharp for a child his age. He tracked the sound of Benjamin's voice like he understood every word.
"Dungeon" I asked.
"Yes. They are secured. Three of them are familiar." he didn't need to say the names. We already knew. When the call ended, the room went silent. It wasn't peaceful. It was focused.
Coban exhaled slowly, rubbing a hand down his face. "He's building something. Not charging in blind, that worries me more than the explosions."
Trixie shifted up onto her elbow, ignoring the way Cassian protested the movement. "Clarence wants attention. But he's also testing. He's watching how fast we respond." she said softly.
Atlas let out a sharp squeal. His power pulsing outward. The air pressed heavy for a half a second then snapped back. A book slid off the shelf and hit the rug with a dull THUD.
Coban huffed a humorless laugh. "See? Even he thinks Clarence is an idiot."
Cassian followed up by slamming both hands on my chest. The lights went out, not all the way just enough to plunge the room into an emergency glow. Soft red stripes kicked on along the floor. Cassian blinked, surprised, then grinned like he'd just discovered a new toy.
"Oh that's great. He's proud of himself." I muttered.
Trixie laughed quietly despite the tension as she reached for both boys.
Coban straightened, serious again. "Clarence just drew a line. He's got numbers now. Resources and explosives as well."
"And ego. Always exploitable." I added.
Atlas yawned as his powers settled. Cassian finally relaxed against me, his fingers loosening.
I looked at Coban, then at Trixie. "We don't react publicly. Not yet. Let him think the show rattled us."
Coban nodded slowly. "Benjamin's already three steps ahead. Clarence doesn't know it, but tonight costed him more than fireworks."
Trixie met my gaze. Her eyes were steady. "And next time, he won't get a warning."
Cassian hummed. Almost like an agreement. Then the lights stabilized.
