Chapter 123 Hiding out
Alpha Blakes POV
"Fuck!" I say as I'm pacing my makeshift office. After I read that email the other day, Darren and I got a rather large group of men together and packed up and left. They were coming for us. I definitely wasn't going to wait on the Elders to arrive. Now shit gets real. We have to overthrow the Kings. They must go. I have to be strategic about this. I have to wait for these other packs to lower the numbers for us. That's my best bet. I'm going for the palace. Going for the crown.
Im thinking if I let these other dumbasses hit them and fail. I can come in and hit while they haven't recovered yet. Catch them off guard.
See I have one advantage over the other packs. They all have moles. Where I ran. I know my men are loyal or they would of stayed put.
"Alpha, Ryan and his team just got back. He said the Dark Fang Pack and the River Pack will be attacking White Claw Pack, Shadow Pack, and the Rising Tide Pack on Friday night. There going to hit them in waves." Darren said as he sat down on one of the few chairs we have right now.
"Did Brutus check in yet or is he still gone?" I ask as I write the information down and map it out. We have to be ready. We have to know who was hit and when.
"No, he hasn't came ..." Darren was saying before he was interrupted. "Alpha, I'm sorry. We ran into a bit of trouble. All is good now though." Brutus said as he practically ran in the room.
"Report Brutus. What did you find out?" I say, already wishing today would just end.
"Your daughter, someone broke her out of the dungeon. She's not there Sir. Plus, the Kings tripled security. We couldn't even get close. One of my men overheard warriors talking is the only reason we heard what we did. Sir, they are ready for anything. They have the fucking Lycans on patrol." He breathed out in one breath.
"Since when do they put them on patrol. That's fucking new!" I seethed, as I threw my cup at the wall.
"Alpha, I wouldn't do that. We only have limited supplies." Darren warned as he shook his head.
"Send a couple men out. Pick up anything we might need for atleast a week." I say as I sit back in my chair.
"Brutus, did you happen to hear of who took her." I ask, trying to keep my temper in check.
"They think it was you, Sir. More than one person is saying it. Your getting the blame for that one." He said hesitantly.
"And yet my daughter is still not here with me!" I scream so loud all eyes are on me as my voice echoed throughout the entire cave system.
Clarence's POV
My men are going to wire Alpha Blake's pack up tonight. Then we will watch it go BOOM. That will teach him to fuck with me. We might not be many, but we are very strong. We are very good at what we do. Hell, Benjamin taught us all that. He taught us everything we know today.
"Are you going to make a move tonight against Blake." Tyler asks as he's taking inventory of the stuff he has already and what he still needs for tonight.
"Yes, if you can get to him, do it. Take that fucker out. One less person we have to worry about." I say as I look over at Lydia.
They had her put in a different part of the cave yesterday. They just brought her in here with us today. That stupid bitch keeps staring at me. Giving me those eyes.
I smelled it as soon as they brought her in. She smells of hazelnuts and cocoa. Don't get me wrong, the night they took her from the dungeon I'd smelled a hint of a scent my wolf said was my mate on them. Hell, I just thought that my mate was at the palace. I never thought it would be her. Fuck! I don't want this girl. I want my Brandi. She's the only she-wolf for me.
"Clarence, please come here and talk to me." She pouts as she pushes her bottom lip out.
That shit is not going to work with me. That bitches father took my girl. I'll never forgive that.
"Lydia, how many times do I have to tell you. I don't want anything to do with you." I say through gritted teeth. This girl is really pissing me off.
"Clarence, please reject me then. Let me go. Reject me. Hopefully I'll get a second chance mate who wants me." She says as a tear rolls down her cheek.
That broke something in me. The tear. Her actually crying. I don't want to see her cry.
