Ricco’s P.O.V Continued
She answered my question that I asked before the interruption. Of course, he told me. I just do not like how you demanded of me that I had to marry you.” “I am sorry about that. I was desperate at the time with everything that went down in Mexico and the fact that we would be married by now.” “I understand all of that, Ricco and I’m sorry for what went down myself.” “I am mentioning this to you because it looks to me as though you have made a decision already or at least thinking towards someone.” I say this looking over at Andros. “Yes, your right.” She speaks as someone knocks on the door. The door opens and Sedwick comes in. “Miss Analina, the doctor is here.” “Thank you, Sedwick.” The three of us stand up and Andros taking a hold of Analina’s hand exits the parlor.
The doctor and I follow the couple upstairs into a newly designed wing. My guess is that John had it designed for them after knowing of her decision of considering Andros’ proposal. We entered the wing and led to a bedroom at the end of a long hallway just off the living room. John did an impressive job having it beautifully designed in his daughter’s taste or was it her mother’s. Analina was lying on the bed while the doctor readied the ultrasound machine. “Can you lift up your shirt for me, I need to put gel on your stomach.”
I noticed how scared she looked as she eyed everyone around but avoided the doctor. I walked up to the bed. “Excuse me.” I said to Andros. “Baby, I’m going to lift up your shirt for the doctor and Andros will hold your hand.” She just nodded as Andros stepped back up to the bed and grabbed her hand as I slowly lifted her shirt. “Who are you?” The doctor asked. “I’m Ricco the potential father of the twins.” “Oh, I’m sorry, my name is Doctor Lee, I’m the doctor that diagnosed the pregnancy.” “Nice to meet you.” “You too. Ok let us get started.” He said as he squirts gel onto Analina’s belly and took the device rubbing it around her body. “If you two look at the monitor with her you can see the babies.”
I looked at the monitor and sure enough you can see two babies on the screen. “They are healthy and have a strong heartbeat. Are you taking your vitamins?” “Yes, right after breakfast.” “Good. Would you three like to know the sex of the babies.” “Yes.” The three of us said at the same time. “Ok, let’s see.” He said as he moves the device over her exposed belly. “You have one… no two boys.” He said. I yelled in delight. “WOW, YAY!!!” Everyone looks my way and Analina starts to laugh. “That is great news. Isn’t it angel?” “Yes, it’s the best, I was hoping they would both be boys.” Good she wanted the same as me.
The doctor than comes over to me. “I know that waiting for them to be born is hard, thank you for having patients. I just think that if we have a paternity test right now it could be dangerous for the twins.” “He explained to me why he is waiting. “I totally understand. I would never think of putting them at risk.” I said. He nodded at my statement. “Ok, I will see you at the same time next month. Your father informed me already that you will be at your brother’s.” After saying this he walks out the door.
“How did you know that she was too scared to pull her shirt up for the doctor?” Andros asked me. “You are forgetting, I was there in the most devastating part of her life. I knew her mind drifted back to that time in her life.” “Oh, why didn’t I think of that.” “Hey man, don’t beat yourself up over it.” “But I should have known.” “Andros, it is ok. I even forgot about my reaction to exposing myself to doctors.” She then took his hand and brought it up to her lips. “Well, I should be getting back to the office.” “Hey, why don’t the three of us have lunch together before you both leave.” “I’m fine with that.” She then looks over to Andros waiting for his answer. “Me too.”
As we exited the wing she turned her attention to Enzo. “We are having lunch together. Join us.” “Sure.” So, I guess instead of the three it is going to be four. Now I must deal with watching not only one but now two men going after my girl. We sat down just as a member of the kitchen staff poured drinks into our glasses. She must have had all this planned for the table to have already been set for four people. “How was the appointment?” Enzo asked after we got comfortable in our seats. “Great, they are healthy, their heartbeats are strong, and I’m having boys.” “That’s great to hear, tulip.” What kind of nickname is that. “Why do you call her tulip?” I questioned him. “It’s her favorite flower.” Both Enzo and Andros answered. “Oh, well what do know I actually didn’t know something about her.”
“Like you know more about her than I do?” Andros said mocking me. “Why wouldn’t I?” “Hello, childhood friend over here.” He said he wanted that information to be known about them. “Sorry, I forgot. It just is not that important to me.” “OK ENOUGH!!!” Analina shouted at us. “Sorry.” We both said to her. After that we ate in silence until it was time for both me and Andros to leave. She does have schoolwork to finish so I am not going to push on staying so I can spend more time with her.
Andros’ P.O.V
I head back to the office feeling low about myself. I should have sensed something wrong when she did not listen when asked to lift her shirt up so the doctor can examine the twins. I reached the office and this woman that I do not know comes running up to me. “Hi sir, welcome back.” I looked suspiciously at her. “Were you not here yesterday?” I said rudely to her. “O…of…co…ur..se I was.” “Then you know your place I assume.” “Yes. But is wrong for me to talk to you?” She had the nerve to question me. “It all depends on your intentions. Guessing from the way you ran up to me and the blush on your cheeks tells me that you do not. What was told of you yesterday.”
“That the female employees are to not flirt with any unavailable men in the office especially Mrs. Stratton’s husband.” “So, you were here. Do you know who I am?” “You are one of the top office employees under Mr. Stratton.” She answered confidently.
