Chapter 56: Epilogue

One Year Later

Sienna's P.O.V.

I can't stop smiling as I watch Mav rock our pup to sleep. Avarie is six months old and is every bit the daddy's girl. She cries for him more than she does me unless she's hungry.

Mav has had his ups and downs with nightmares and overcoming what happened to him, but he's much better now. When we had Avarie, he was so scared he was going to hurt her. The first time he held her she gripped his finger with her little hand, and I saw a light inside him that I had never seen before. He cried as he held her, realizing he was her daddy. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.

"They're so cute," Kierra says, joining me at the door. She's pregnant with her and Felix's daughter, Layla.

"Yes, they are," I reply, smiling at Mav. Alisa and Eva went into heat soon after we returned from our vacation. Alisa and Aaron now have a son named Isaac. Eva and Zay have a daughter named Citrene.

When we came back, Lizette had a surprise for us. She and the others had built a bigger pack house than the one we had before, and there was a huge nursery. She said she had a feeling it would come in handy, and she was right.

Mariela and Drake have a daughter named Jaylah. They live in the new palace just a few minutes from Silver Lunar. They wanted to be able to visit as much as possible. I think they spend more time here than they do at the palace. Cassidy and Cruz are still here and expecting their little boy, Xavier. We're all anxious to meet him because Cassidy's wolf said he's a wolf and bull hybrid with godlike power. Zeida and Troy just had a little girl named Ivy. She's a siren-wolf hybrid. Lizette and Zion's little pup, Devon, was born about a month ago. We are all one big, happy, unique family.

The pack has been incredible and has supported everything Mav and I have done. Many of them felt bad for believing Diego and Robin, so they have gone out of their way to be overly nice. A few times, I had to tell them to stop and let it go.

"I have been looking for you everywhere." Felix runs down the hallway to us, and Kierra rolls her eyes.

"I literally left you less than five minutes ago," she says as he looks her over and rubs her swollen belly as though she just got back from war. He is the biggest helicopter dad. He constantly wants to carry her everywhere, and he's a nervous wreck when she flies. It's funny and cute. Their daughter is going to be pretty unique. Kierra said she's a tribrid witch, vampire, and angel. As powerful as we thought we were, we don't have anything on our little ones. I can't wait to see what they're going to accomplish.

Mav gently lays Avarie in her crib and kisses her forehead. My heart can't take the sweetness. He's the largest man I've ever met, yet he has the gentlest touch. I feel sorry for our daughter's mate because Mav will undoubtedly think he's not good enough. Kierra and Felix leave us alone while she tells him to keep his hands off her or she's going to hide somewhere, and he'll never find her.

"I miss her even though I know she's right there," Mav says as he wraps his arms around me. Avarie has his dark brown hair and my teal eyes. Maybe some of the goddess powers are inside her, too.

"I know. I can't believe a year ago, we were fighting demons, and now we're parents. Do you have any regrets?" I ask. He hugs me tighter.

"The only regret I have is not finding you sooner. I feel like a new man compared to how I was before. Being with you has changed me so much. You gave me a chance to have a life when all I thought I had to look forward to was death. Your love healed wounds inside me that no one could see but you. Every day I thank Selene that she made you my mate. I love you so much, Sienna, that sometimes I lie awake watching you sleep because I'm scared this was all a dream." I wipe his tears away.

"I love you too, Mav, and none of this would have been possible without you. We're a team, and we always will be." He kisses me and pushes me up against the wall to deepen it.

"So, when do you think you'll go into heat again? If we're a team, I hope you meant a football team. I think we need a lot more players on this team." I laugh and put my arms around his neck.

"We have our whole lives ahead of us. We'll have a huge family." Mav checks on Avarie and then carries me to our bedroom. I may not be in heat, but we can get lots of practice. I have never been so happy in my life. I guess dreams really do come true.
