Chapter 242 The Text

Chapter 242 The Text
Dakota's P.O.V.

"You can't hurt us. People will miss us. How are you going to explain our disappearance?" Belinda asks.

"Easy. I found out you were stealing from me, and I fired you. We haven't heard from you in weeks. Isn't that right?" I look at the others standing around the room, and they all nod in agreement.

"You are going to let your little sister witness this? You're sick," Belinda says. I look at Khloe.

"Do you think I'm sick?" I ask my sister.

"No. They kidnapped me and would have hurt me if I hadn't gotten away. How can justice be sick?" I hug her, and she smiles. She talks like a grown-up, so much so that I sometimes forget that she's only eleven.

"Little girl, you can't hurt us," Jeff tells Khloe. She picks up a baseball bat and looks at me. I need to remember to get her out of here before they die. I do not want her to see that. I have numbed myself to death for the most part, but I don't want her to be that way yet. She gets into a batter's stance and swings the bat hard into Jeff's face.

"Oh, did we forget to mention that Khloe is the best hitter on her softball team? She is always hitting home runs. What do you think, Khloe? Do you have another one in you?" I nod toward Belinda, and my sister smiles.

"I think I can go two for two," my sister says.

"Shit, she's just like Dakota," Sarah whispers.

"Is that a good or bad thing?" I ask as Khloe swings the bat and hits Belinda in the face, breaking her nose.

"It's definitely a good thing," Ari says, winking at me. I smile as I spin around to kick Belinda in the face, followed by Jeff.

"This is the first time I've seen all the men stand back to let the women have all the fun," Lorenzo whispers to Galdino as I kick Belinda and Jeff each in the abdomen and finish with another kick in their faces, making their chairs fall backward. Xavier sits them back up and returns to Sarah's side.

"Dakota will allow them to take their turn once she finishes. Marco and Andre, don't forget what Dakota said. If you screw up again, it will be your asses in those chairs," Galdino warns the two men. Khloe uses her bat on Jeff's knees and then on Belinda's. They both look ready to pass out because they barely flinch.

"Khloe, I think we're done here. The others will finish. Let's get cleaned up." She and I head to the door, but everyone else stays. Ari shrugs when I look at him.

"They fucked with my future sister-in-law. I have to get a few punches in, too." Khloe giggles, and I smile.

"Have fun." As we go outside, I receive a text from my mom.

Come to the gate. I have a surprise for Khloe that I don't want her to see yet. That's odd. What surprise would she have for my sister that she wants to give me at the gate?

On my way.

"Khloe, go into the house and take a shower. I'll be there in just a minute," I tell her.

"Okay." She runs toward the house, and I pull out the knife that is always strapped to my thigh. As I head to the gate, I notice two things: one, none of my men are anywhere to be seen, and second, the gate is open. This is a trap. I begin to back up toward the house when something hard hits my head.

"I don't think so, little girl. You're ours now." I know that voice. I try to scream, but I begin to black out. No, I can't let them take me. Where is everyone?
