" No matter what Eric I won't listen to you just let me go or else am going to scream "

Deep down In my heart I know his not going to let me go, So I decided to listen to the trash he has to say .

He let go of my hand and straighten up himself .
" Valerie I know I messed up big time am sorry, I really didn't mean to cheat on you ,I tried my best but I couldn't because am a human I have blood running through my veins .Am sorry ,I love you and that's what matters right let's run away and leave this city ,or if you don't want that let's get married the king will have no choice but to let go of you "
He tried to hold my hand but I pushed his hand away .
" You are mad Eric, So after this bullshit you called an explanation you expect me to believe you right ,Or clap for you and say Well done for cheating on me , You know I never got the opportunity to say this that day but I would love to say it today .

I turned to leave but he grabbed my hand , My back slammed on the cold wall .

He tried to kiss me forcefully but I kept struggling to get myself off his grip just then I heard Edward voice from the dark corner of the isolated place .

Eric let go of my hand and turned to look at him .
" Leave here at once it's a lovers matter , You don't want to get involved ,So leave "
" I will leave on one condition "

I was already covered in cold sweat ,I doubt if Eric knew that the person he was talking to was the king ,I swallowed the lumped in my throat .

Before I could say a word Eric dashed towards Edward , And was about to landed a punch on his face but I was surprised the Edward had a fast reflexes ,He dodged the punch , Without much effort but before Eric could send another punch to Edwards face ,Eric's hands was twisted behind his back , And he screamed out in pain that attracted the attention of others in the hall ,In no time the place was filled up I could here people murmuring among themselves .
" Is that not the lady that came here with the king what is she doing here , With Another man ,Hmm don't tell me she's flirting with another man "
I put my head down and bit my lip to stop myself from crying , Edward was still holding Eric down when a lady with a red hair came forward .
" My Lord apologies but that is husband to be Eric, I really don't know what might have happened but Mr Eric is a good man "

" Forgive me my lord but I think you should ask this lady here why she followed a man to an isolated corner of the mansion "
The murmuring started becoming louder ,I raised my head to look at a lady she was familiar , Suddenly I remembered where I might have seen her before , Oh my God she's the lady I caught Eric with on his bed . Just then lady Alice spoke up .
" Why did you say the lady carolina "
" I really don't know how this would sound but this lady here always had feels for my man ,I confronted him about it but he said he doesn't have feels for her so guess when she saw him here today she decided to take her chance on him "
" Ah I think she is a loosed woman ,And to think the king had to kill lady Benita for her sake what pity "
A lady at her early forty voiced out without thinking ,I lowered my head down but tears was flowing from my eyes ,Most of the woman was staring at me with distain , I felt like dying finally I felt someone hand on my shoulder I raised my head to see who it was ,it was king Edwards ,He removed his coat and placed it on my shoulder to cover my skin .
" Let's go "
Immediately we left the party and got into the carriage , The ride back to the castle was quite no one said anything to each other ,I could feel his gaze on me but I couldn't say a word .
Finally we arrived at the castle and got into the mansion ,He walked pass me and was going to his room when I stop him .
" My Lord wait "
I rushed up to him to explain myself .
" About what happened today at the party I ..I.."
" Go to bed Lady valerie, We will talk about it some order time "
I felt as if someone poured me a cold bucket of water,I stood there and watched him leave without saying another word to me .
I got into my room changed into something comfortable and laid on my bed the incident that happened kept coming back ,I couldn't sleep I kept tossing on my bed till it was morning.
