Chapter 103 Identity PDF Received
Rohit instantly closes the laptop and looks at Ruhi. In that moment, memory strikes him yes, Ruhi had asked for ice cream last night, but he had gotten lost in his work. He speaks gently, “Sorry, Ruhi, I was caught up with urgent emails. Don’t be angry, I’ll get it for you now.”
Ruhi’s face grows even redder with anger. She snaps back, “I don’t want it now! My mood is ruined.”
Rohit stands up and walks closer, his tone soft with care, “Ruhi… don’t be upset. I’ll order it right away.”
But Ruhi shouts louder, “I said no! I don’t want it.”
Rohit places his hand tenderly on her cheek, but Ruhi pushes it away. Her eyes glisten with tears and rage as she screams, “I don’t know why my parents made me marry you! They destroyed my life!”
Rohit freezes for a moment. A sharp pain passes through him, but still he tries to speak calmly,
“Ruhi…”
Ruhi cuts him off and shouts even more fiercely,
“What, Ruhi? Aren’t you satisfied ruining my life? Is that why you keep pretending this fake love drama?”
Rohit slips his hand into his jeans pocket and pulls out a mangalsutra. He looks into Ruhi’s eyes and says softly, “I know this marriage wasn’t your choice. But marriage isn’t just a formality. You shouldn’t have removed the mangalsutra. This is not just jewelry, it’s a bond.”
And with steady hands, he gently places the mangalsutra around Ruhi’s neck. For a moment, she falls silent. Her breath quickens, but anger still burns in her eyes.
Rohit gazes at her deeply and says, “I don’t fake love, Ruhi. I truly love you. Maybe not today, but one day you’ll realize it.”
Ruhi’s lips tremble before she spits out the words that shatter him, “Shut up! I hate you.”
She turns sharply and walks away, her footsteps echoing with fury. Rohit stands frozen, his heart breaking into pieces. But instead of falling apart, he gathers himself. Picking up his phone, he quietly orders ice cream online. When it arrives, he carries the packet with him as he walks to his room.
It has been one year since Ruhi was married to Rohit, forced by family pressure. She had resisted, but under Ajay’s authority, she had no choice. Since then, her heart has filled only with resentment.
And Rohit? He has spent an entire year giving every effort to win her heart. He remembers every little thing she likes, tries every day to make her smile. But for Ruhi, there is only one memory that haunts her, the day Rohit had once called Sunaina his girlfriend.
That one moment has turned into poison for her, something she can never forget. And now, only one vow echoes in her heart: Ruhi will never accept him.
The evening on the balcony is utterly silent. The cool breeze brushes gently against my face. Above, the moon spreads its calm light across the sky, and below, the flowers in the garden glimmer under that glow. Inside the house, little Ayansh sleeps peacefully on the bed, his soft breaths filling my heart with a sense of comfort.
But that peace is shattered by a sudden vibration. My phone is lying on the table. Without thinking much, I pick it up and glance at the screen. A message has come from an unknown number.
The message reads: “Do you want to know the truth about your husband, Mrs. Rajput?”
It feels as though the ground has slipped from beneath my feet. My heart skips a beat, my hands tremble slightly. I quickly type a reply, “Who?”
A reply flashes back instantly. “Forget who I am first, try to truly know your husband.”
Anger flares in my eyes, my face turns red with rage. I type again without a second thought, “Who the hell are you? And how dare you text me like this?!”
The answer comes again, “I’m sending you a PDF… see for yourself. After that, you won’t need to think about me.”
Reading this, my heartbeat grows faster. My hands turn cold and damp with sweat. A new notification pops up on the screen, PDF received.
My breath freezes for a moment. With hesitant fingers, I tap on the file and slowly open it. Pages begin to scroll before my eyes.
The more I read, the wider my eyes grow in shock. Every single word feels like poison seeping into my veins. The color drains from my face as my heart clenches tighter with each line.
I try to steady my breathing, but the storm inside me refuses to calm. My eyes can no longer hold back tears they spill out, heavy and unstoppable.
Just then, I felt a faint sound. Startled, I quickly wiped my tears. And in that very moment, I felt a hand on my stomach. My heart skipped a beat. It was Samar, standing behind me.
In a deep, low voice close to my ear, Samar said, “Can’t sleep?”
I slowly turned around and looked into his eyes. The glimmer of tears still shone in mine. Samar noticed it, and with a mix of affection and concern, he asked softly, “You were crying?”
With slight hesitation, I replied, “When will you tell me the truth? I want to know everything about you.”
Samar looked into my face and said quietly, “When the right time comes, I’ll tell you. Right now, you won’t understand.”
I immediately responded, “I will understand. Just tell me.”
For a moment, Samar’s face hardened. Irritated, he said, “Ishani, don’t be stubborn.”
Pain and anger welled up in my eyes at once. My voice grew sharper, “Why shouldn’t I? You’re my husband, it’s my right to know everything about you.”
Samar’s patience broke. In a burst of anger, he shouted, “Shut up! If I’m not telling you now, there must be a reason!”
Tears rolled down my face again. Without a word, I picked up Ayansh in my arms and said coldly, “I’m going home.”
Samar was stunned. This was the first time I had spoken to him this way. He quickly stepped forward and grabbed my hand.
“Ishani, what happened suddenly? Have you lost your mind?”
With teary eyes, I looked at him but said nothing. I just started walking away. Samar tightened his grip on my hand, “Ishani, stop! Tell me what’s wrong!”
My lips trembled as I finally said, “I want to go home…”
