Chapter 65: Something's Coming

Luna’s POV:

A few days after we returned home, our wedding invites come in. The stationary is a beautiful crimson color with purple, orange, and yellow flowers and leaves decorating the corners. The calligraphy is a beautiful gold color, and everything pairs together well. Tatum and I mail out most of the invitations and make plans the next day to hand-deliver the rest as Tatum calls a small gathering the next day at Angels Keep.

"I'm getting a little nervous." I say as we get closer to the familiar bar.

"Everything will be fine." Tatum says with a smile, taking my hand in his.

"Do you think everyone we invited will be able to come?" I ask as I look at the invitations laying in my lap.

"Well if they don't then it will be their loss." Tatum says, pulling up in front of Angels Keep.

Tatum and I get out of the car and make our way inside.

"There you two are!" Angel exclaims taking Tatum and I into a hug.

"How's the wedding planning going, son?" Malcolm asks us, slapping Tatum on the shoulder.

"It's going smoothly. We have almost everything done." Tatum replies.

"Wow, that's fast." Angel says, looking at Malcolm.

"Yeah that's why we called everyone to meet us here. We wanted to give everyone here their invitations personally." Tatum says taking an invitation from me and handing it to his mom and dad.

Angel opens the invitation and gasps in surprise.

"These are beautiful Luna." She says as she looks over the invite.

"Wait. Are you holding the wedding this October?" Angel asks.

"Yes. I hope that's not going to be a problem" Tatum says as he puts an arm around my waist.

"No it's not a problem, but son...that's a little over a month from now. Is everything going to be ready by then?" Malcolm asks, looking over the invitation.

"Yes everything is already decided and the venues are already set. The only thing left is for Luna to do her dress fitting." Tatum says looking down at me as a broad smile appears on his face.

"Well that's wonderful son. Since it's so close do you both want to take off until after the wedding?" Malcolm asks us.

"No, that's not necessary." I replied.

"Everything will be fine. Luna and I will catch everything up before we leave so that no one has to pick up the slack while we're gone." Tatum replies.

"Well I don't think you will have to worry about that Kali has graciously offered to keep things up while you are away." Angel says as Kali walks up to us.

"Graciously offered my behind! You didn't give me a choice!" Kali says as I hand her an invitation as well.

"Kali." Malcolm says in a low growl.

"I really appreciate all your help Kali." I say sweetly as I embrace her in a tight hug.

"I'm only doing it because it's you and you're my best friend." Kali says, hugging me back.

Tatum's POV:

After talking to my parents and Kali for a while we made our way around the bar handing out the invitations. Everyone seemed happy and satisfied with the upcoming wedding date and Luna and I breathed a sigh of relief. The rest of the month goes by quickly and our wedding date is quickly approaching.

So far more than 100 people have said they were going to show up to our wedding and I can sense that Luna feels uneasy. We have talked a lot through this experience and I feel closer to her but something still feels off and I have this feeling in the pit of my stomach that something is going to happen. It's now two weeks before our wedding and Luna has her last dress fitting today. I find myself getting anxious for the day I get to see her walking down the aisle towards me.

"I can't wait for you to see her on the big day!" Kali exclaims as she exits the fitting room.

"Me either." I replied.

"What, no smart come back?" Kali asks playfully.

I look down at the ground with a frown and shake my head.

"What's wrong?" Kali asks, suddenly concerned.

"Has anything seemed strange to you lately? Like something is off?" I ask.

"Not particularly, no." Kali replies.

"There was an incident a few months ago the first time we came to the dress shop. Luna thought she saw someone outside the window but I didn't see anything so she shrugged it off?" Kali says.

I got a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach at her words when Luna exited the shop.

"Are we ready to go?" Luna asked.

"Sure, where to next?" Kali asked.

"Well Amanda is coming by to pick up my dress and your tux later this week so we don't have to go by her office today." Luna replies as she digs in her purse.

"How about we get dinner?" Luna suggests as she pulls out her phone checking the time.

We decide on a local place and after dinner Kali suggests that we go for a walk through the quiet town.

"Are you sure you wanna go for a walk right now?" Luna asks as she looks around with unease.

"What's wrong princess?" I ask her.

"It's nothing." She replies, shaking her head.

"Probably seeing things again?" Kali says poking fun but the uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach begins to rise.

"I just have a feeling we should go home." Luna replies as she looks out over the bare streets.

"I'm sure it will be fine Luna. You're just anxious about the upcoming wedding is all. Relax a little." Kali responds as we begin to walk over the familiar bridge where I threw Luna's phone out into the water.

Halfway across the bridge Luna freezes and her hand begins to shake. I look down at her to see her terrified face.
