Chapter 53: Getting Promoted

Luna's POV:

"You gonna be ok?" I ask teasingly.

"Yeah mom knows I hate desk work. She did that on purpose." Kali says as she drags a chair around the desk.

"I'll have most of it done by one Kali. I promise you won't have much to do if anything." I reply as I look at the clock and get back to work as Kali sits quietly next to me.

It's almost 12 and I've sent multiple emails to Tatum with reports and approvals but I've still not heard back about anything so I print off the necessary papers and head towards Malcolm's office. I knock briskly on the door and wait "Come in." I hear Malcolm call out.

I gently open the door to see there are various clan members in the chairs around the large round table.

"Ah Luna, Angel said you would be doing lessons here. You're rather early though." Malcolm replies as he motions for me to come in.

"Oh no sir. I'm not here for that. I have a few reports that I need to send off within the next hour. I've already sent them to Ta…Titan but he's not responded yet. I figured he was busy with his meetings so I thought I would bring them to you for approval." I replied hesitantly.

I had never used Tatum's real name until now but I figured it was better suited for the environment we were in at the moment. Malcolm smiled an approving smile as he took the documents from me. He waves his hand in the air in motion to the men and I stand patiently beside him as one of the men begins going over business details for the upcoming firms.

I hesitate slightly thinking I should excuse myself when Malcolm suddenly touches my arm. I lean towards him from my standing position and he points to a few numbers on one of the papers in his hand. I quickly explain them to him and a smile comes to his face.

"Gentlemen." Malcolm says in a firm commanding voice.

"I know you've all heard about our future Alpha female and clan head. I would like for her to join the board for our meetings and such regarding the future expansions." Malcolm says and I can feel all eyes in the room on me as I stare in shock at Malcolm.

"S-sir, are you.." I start to speak but I'm interrupted by one of the members at the large table.

"With all due respect sir I fail to see how she is of any use to us on this matter." The male member speaks.

Malcolm's face darkens at his words. His usual smile is replaced with a look of scorn and the member sinks back in his seat as Malcolm stands from his chair.

"Gentlemen. Not many of you here know but the only reason we are able to proceed with the expansion is because of Luna. Her smarts in the business industry have helped us financially on levels we didn't even know existed or needed help on. She has also contributed a large amount of her own personal funds to help get this project off the ground." Malcolm says sternly as he turns on an overhead projector bringing up the financial status of the company over the last year and a half.

"Furthermore Luna has lived in the states and will be a valuable asset in deciding where our firm would do best." Malcolm says as he turns to face the room again.

"So would anyone in this room like to take over what she does for this company? How about matching her contribution on the project? No? Is there anyone here who has any issues with her joining our team?" Malcolm asks with a slight snarl as he grips the back of his chair.

"Is there anyone here who wants to question my judgment on the matter or disrespect their future Alpha female and clan head?" Malcolm says with a vicious smile as he stares down the table.

The whole room is quiet, and no one dares speak or meet Malcolm's gaze.

"Well now, if everything is in order and there are no further issues we will return tomorrow morning to discuss the expansion further. Kin you are in charge of making sure Luna gets the necessary documents about the expansion." Malcolm says in a stern voice.

"Yes sir." Kin replies.

"This meeting is dismissed." Malcolm says with a wave of his hand.

"These are perfect. Send them as they are." Malcolm says as he hands me the documents.

"Luna." I hear Kin say from behind.

"I'd like to go over a few things with you before sending you the documents if you don't mind." He says as he holds out his hand.

I extend my hand and shake his hand firmly.

"I look forward to working with you. Titan has told me many things about you." Kin says as we begin to leave the office.

Kin quickly goes over everything with me as I email the approved documents out. I give Kin my work email and he sends through the necessary items about the expansion. I quickly print them and pack them in my bag and rush back to the conference room to meet Angel for our lesson.
