Chapter 63: Before Sunset

She immediately avoided his penetrating eyes. She looked down at her feet as her mind rambled with what to say. Should she tell him now who she is or would her hidden identity ruin the somewhat brewing romance between them? Before she could process her decision, Boss Dar said again.
“Gerthel, you are a she-wolf and a witch, right? Your mother is a powerful witch who killed the Alpha and Luna of the Red Hill Pack and during the time that you intruded on this cottage house of mine, you were escaping from a group of werewolves who attacked you and killed your best friend and her parents. Is this information given by my intel correct?” he asked with his eyes still focused on her.
Shocked, it took time for Gerthel to speak after she looked up at him so suddenly the moment she heard what he said. “When did you know those things about me, Boss Dar?” she was able to mutter after a couple of seconds.
“Just recently. So, is that information correct?”
Gerthel has no other recourse but to nod and looked at him with a streak of fear in her eyes.
“That’s why you were able to carry with ease our passionate lovemaking and my seeds. Anytime, soon Gerthel, you might be pregnant with my child, so, I hope you will be more careful in everything,” he then said with a smile on his lips. It was as if he was happy to know the truth about her.
In a way, Gerthel felt relieved upon seeing his reaction. “Would knowing the truth about me did not change how you see me? Everyone except those people inside our mini farm despised me for being the daughter of a witch, who killed the Alpha and Luna of the Red Hill Pack and any other creatures specifically werewolves who have abused us and our people inside the farm.”
“Why should I? It made me happy Gerthel knowing that you are the rightful woman who could be the mother of my heirs. I don’t need to look further. You came at the right time,” he said meaningfully.
She furrowed and something tried to tempt her to think that he was just using her to fulfill his wishes to have heirs. Nonetheless, she pacified herself and her wolf and thought otherwise. It is time for her to know the truth about him too.
“Thank you for that, Boss Dar. Would it be fine if I will seek the truth about the real you too? Who are you really, Boss Dar?” Her expression was firm as if she does not want to hear any lie from him. But he shook his head and cupped her face, instead.
“Gerthel, there are so many things that you need to know about me. You will know them all as times go by. It is better for you not to know everything at this moment. Just bear in mind what I told you. Be careful more as I want you to give birth to my heirs soonest. I am sure, one of these days, you will tell me that you are already pregnant.” He smiled and then kissed me.
That simple kiss suddenly was like a match that sparked both their bodies and brought them to the bedroom. Thereafter, that small and neat bedroom has been filled with passionate whispering and moaning and suddenly, their clothing which has thrown everything made a mess in that once tidy room.

They stayed at the cottage house for the whole day and Boss Dar told Gerthel that they are going to leave before the sun sets.
“We need to get out of here before the sun sets. I don’t want to exert efforts to fight rogue werewolves and other types of creatures that might try to attack us, the moment they feel that we are inside of this house,” he said casually and Gerthel nodded. She also had that idea in her mind. It is not advisable for them to spend overnight in this place.
So, before sunset, Boss Dar drove his car out of the cottage house with speed until they reached the main road.
“Why did you buy that cottage house if it is not actually safe to stay there?” Gerthel asked out of curiosity.
Boss Dar side glanced at her before answering her query. “If we wanted to kill enemies, I and my best fighters go there to trap the enemies inside and kill them all.”
Gerthel was in awe. Boss Dar really thinks differently.
“We monitored what is happening in that cottage house and we know that different creatures and enemies are waiting for us to come. When you entered the cottage house before, we hoped that you will not stay until the next morning, otherwise, if you will stay further, we have no other recourse but to come before the sun sets, to get you. Good thing, you left immediately,” Boss Dar stated further.
A sudden rush of fear enveloped Gerthel’s body just by thinking what could have happened to her when she stayed longer in the cottage house at the time that she intruded on it and the group of Boss Dar could not come on time to save her. “Gosh, I have goosebumps,” she whispered but Boss Dar heard it.
“There is nothing to worry about that now, you are safe with me, with us.”
Gerthel smiled and leaned her head on his shoulder. “Thank you,” she said gently as she removed her head from his shoulder thinking that she might disturb him while driving.
They reached the mansion after a few hours of travel on the road. The food on the dining table has been prepared already as they arrived. She has a hint that Boss Dar sent a message to Mr. Gab before they left the cottage house.
They just finished dinner when Mr. Gab entered the dining hall.
“Boss, we have seen in our surveillance camera that for a couple of days, a black car has always been parked a few meters away from this mansion during nighttime. No companion anyhow. Only that black car, and will usually leave after an hour or two.” Mr. Gab said after he took the seat beside Boss Dar and across Gerthel.
At once, upon hearing the news of Mr. Gab, Gerthel's eyes grew wide.
