Chapter 13: She's Back

Everyone applauds while looking at Natalie, who is standing in the middle with her beautiful smile; she looks stunning at this point with her red curvy gown, partnered by her red mini bag and red heels. Her lips are also red, and her hair is now long, blonde, curly, and wavy; it suits her style today, and everyone in the room is admiring her beauty, including Norwan, who is straightly looking at and watching her action.

“I never thought she would look like this… she’s beautiful as ever,” Norwan said with his smile and smiled while watching her, but those smile faded away as he saw Chad put his hand to Natalie’s waist and kiss her cheeks, this boils his blood as he saw what that Beta did to Natalie. Norwan was about to stand when he suddenly remembered something.

“What the heck is happening to me?” He asked himself and looked at Natalie again; she was smiling with the guest talking to her.

“I forgot, she's no longer my Luna anymore.” He smirks because of what he’s thinking right now. He then took a deep breath and looked at Chad, who was looking at Natalie; from what Norwan saw right now, he knew that Chad and Natalie had a relationship and Chad was so in love with her now.

Norwan couldn’t stand it anymore; he then stood from his seat and walked towards the exit door. He can’t take what is happening to him right now.

On the other hand, Natalie was so nervous as she walked to see everyone in the room; her beautiful smile formed on her face as soon as she saw everyone in the room who was waiting for her, including Norwan, who was standing from behind.

Her heart suddenly beat fast when she saw him looking at her. But she composed herself and chose to look at those guests who were standing in front of her.

“Finally, I saw him again. After a year of not seeing him, I never thought he would go here and accept my invitation to him.” A little smirk formed on her face, knowing that her plan worked.

2 DAYS BEFORE THE PARTY

“Are you serious about this?” Lynn asked while looking at Natalie as she held an invitation card. “You will invite Norwan to your party?” She added. Natalie nodded, so Chad just shrugged while watching the two of them.

“Yes,” Natalie said and drank her wine.

“Why?” Lynn said and put down the invitation card in front of Natalie. “Don’t tell me you want to see him?” She added. Natalie laughed and leaned into her chair.

“Of course not. Why would I even want to see his ugly face?” Natalie said and smirked. “I want to invite him to inform him that I am back and the old me is dead.” She added her drink to her table and looked at her friend.

Lynn secretly looks at Chad, who is looking at his phone and looks back at Natalie. Natalie saw that, so she chuckles as she know the meaning of those looks.

“Don’t worry. I already consult it, Chad.” Natalie said and smiled as she looked at Chad. “He also favors my idea.” She added that Lynn turned to look at Chad again and saw that he nodded. That’s why she sighed and sat on the chair nearest her.

“What’s your plan then? You can’t be the one who will give this invitation to Norwan.” Lynn said, so Natalie smiled at her.

“Of course, I am not; I already said to my assistant that he will drop this invitation at Norwan’s house and make sure that he’s the one who can read that invitation,” Natalie said and smirked as she looked to the window.

“I’m sure he will be surprised as I return here again.” She added and drank her wine.

BACK TO REALITY

Natalie smirked as she saw Norwan exit the room; she then looked to Chad, who was talking to one of their guests. She was talking to Chad when Lynn suddenly grabbed her from the guest.

“What is it, Lynn?” She asked. Lynn looked at Natalie and smiled.

“I saw Norwan exiting the building,” Lynn said, so Natalie frowned and laughed as she heard Lynn’s words.

“He can’t accept that I am here again,” Natalie said, looking at the exit door.

“Well, now that you’re here and your clan was placed as the most powerful and influential clan in this town, for sure, he will bothered now that you’re his rival to every rank in this town,” Lynn said and smiled. Natalie chuckles and looks at Lynn.

“Have you seen his reaction? He looks bothered already.” Lynn added.

“No, I didn’t look at him after I started talking to our guest,” Natalie said and sighed. “The truth is, there’s a part of me that I cannot look at him, but I guess that is only for today; the next time we meet again, I’m sure I can face him already,” Natalie said, so Lynn smiled at her.

Lynn holds Natalie’s hands and looks into her eyes.

“Just remember what he did to you back then, how he treated you and didn’t believe in you,” Lynn said, so Natalie nodded and smiled at her.

“Now that he sees you already, what will you do now? What is your next plan?” Lynn asked.

“I will terminate our business partnership with them and be their rival in marketing,” Natalie said and smiled.

On the other hand, Norwan is driving back to his mansion; his mind can’t think better now that he has seen Natalie and knows that she’s in a relationship with Chad after he witnessed Chad kiss Natalie.

He swallowed as he didn’t know what to think and what to do until he reached his mansion already, but he still stayed in his car for almost one hour before going inside his mansion. Cora was waiting at him at the front door as he went inside. He sighed as he saw her and started to walk in her direction.

“Norwan, it seems you went home earlier today. How’s your day?” Cora asked, but Norwan didn’t answer and walked continuously inside the mansion. Cora followed Norwan with a sigh and frown.

“Is there something that happened to you today?” She asked; Norwan stopped and looked at her. He didn’t say any words, but Cora knows the way he look at her that he’s not in the mood today.

Her hopes to talk to Norwan today about their relationship fade away; she sighs and nods slowly.

“You may rest first; I think you are tired today.” She said and turned her back to Norwan.
