Chapter 55 Chapter 55
Sable's POV
The twin throne awakened.
And the world felt it.
The moment silver and shadow fused into one, a shockwave exploded through the arena, racing into the mountains, through the forests, and across every pack territory in existence.
I felt them.
Every wolf.
Every Alpha.
Every bond tied to the throne.
They all felt it as well.
The Queen's throne was no longer singular.
Instead it had become double, has become balance.
And standing before it, I understood why the Creator was afraid.
It was because this was not his design.
This was choice.
His greatest weakness.
The chains of silver and shadow spun around my arms like living serpents, pulsing with power that felt endless.
Beside me, the Fallen stood breathing hard, but she was stronger now.
She had become whole.
No longer broken.
Not divided.
Together, we held the throne’s power.
And in front of us, the Creator's army charged.
Thousands of them with the hollows screaming as they flooded into the arena.
Leonidas turned first followed by Kael, Malrik, Zander, Caius, the Shadow King and finally the dragon.
All of them stepping into war.
For me.
For us.
For the world.
Leonidas looked over his shoulder just once.
His silver eyes found mine.
And I understood the message without him needing to speak.
'Finish this.'
I nodded.
Then the battlefield exploded. The Hollows hit like a tidal wave.
Kael shifted instantly, tearing through the first line with brutal force.
Malrik was beside him, their wolves moving together like they weretrained destruction.
Zander disappeared into the chaos, fast and deadly, every reappearance of his ending in blood.
The dragon rose into the air, silver fire pouring from its mouth and burning the entire sections of the battlefield.
Caius fought beside his father, shadows slicing through monsters like blades.
And Leonidas—
Leonidas was at the center.
A wall.
A storm.
A force of pure violence.
Every Hollow that reached him died.
But there were too many.
Far too many for him to handle alone.
The Creator stood behind them, watching me.
He stood there not attacking but waiting because he knew.
This wasn't about strength anymore.
It was about will.
The Fallen grabbed my wrist.
"Focus."
I looked at her.
"How?"
Her eyes locked onto mine.
"Feel the throne."
I closed my eyes.
And instantly, the world opened not physically but spiritually as I felt everything.
The wolves.
The bloodlines.
The throne.
The ancient laws tied to it.
And beneath all of it was him.
The Creator.
His power woven through everything.
That was why he couldn't fully die.
Because the pieces of him existed in all of us.
The realization made me gasp.
The Fallen felt it too.
"You see."
I opened my eyes.
"If we seal him....."
She nodded.
"It seals part of us too."
That was the price.
Not death or loss.
But a piece of ourselves.
A piece of what made us.
The Creator smiled.
"You understand now."
I looked at him.
And for the first time, I saw it in him.
Not something evil but just loneliness that was twisted into control.
Power twisted into fear.
He feared being forgotten, feared being alone.
So he built a world that could never leave him.
The tragedy of that hit hard.
But it changed nothing.
He had destroyed too much.
The throne pulsed again waiting while the battle worsened.
Kael was thrown across the arena by a Hollow that was three times his size.
Malrik barely caught him before impact.
Zander's shoulder was torn open while Caius was bleeding from everywhere.
Even the dragon was struggling now.
And Leonidas—
Leonidas was surrounded with five Hollows at once.
Still fighting.
Still trying to survive, but he was slowing down.
The Creator saw it too.
And he moved straight for him.
My breath caught.
No.
Leonidas looked up just as the Creator slammed him into the stone hard.
The entire arena shook.
I screamed making power burst from me violently.
The Creator looked up.
He was satisfied because he knew.
He knew Leonidas was my weakness.
The Fallen stepped in front of me.
"Don't lose control."
I shoved past her.
"He will kill him!"
Her voice snapped.
"And if you lose focus, he kills everyone!"
That stopped me.
Because she was right.
Damn her.
Damn this.
Leonidas pushed himself up
again.
Blood running from his mouth.
Struggling to stand up again which was almost impossible.
But he was stubborn and then he make beautifully impossible possible.
The Creator tilted his head.
"You still rise."
Leonidas spat blood.
"Get used to it."
Even now he was still stubborn.
I almost laughed.
The Creator hit him again.
Harder this time around.
Leonidas dropped to the ground and he didn't rise for a while.
Something inside me cracked.
The mate bond screamed as pain tore through my chest like claws.
He was alive but was hurt badly.
The throne reacted to my grief, my rage and my fear.
Power surged uncontrollably.
The Fallen grabbed both my shoulders.
"Sable!"
I looked at her with a panicked expression.
"I can't—"
"Yes, you can."
Her eyes burned.
"Use it."
The throne pulsed.
And suddenly, I understood the message.
Emotion wasn't weakness.
It was fuel.
The Creator feared choice.
Because choice came from feeling.
It came from love. From pain.
Things he couldn't control.
That was the difference.
He built power.
But we gave it meaning.
I grabbed the Fallen's hands.
"Together."
She nodded.
And we opened the throne fully making the arena vanished spiritually.
Everything froze.
The battle.
The Hollows.
The Creator.
Time was suspended.
Only the throne remained.
And us.
And him.
The Creator looked around.
Real surprise on his face.
"What is this?"
The throne answered.
Not with words in our mind.
Judgment.
The Fallen stepped forward.
"You wanted obedience."
Sable.
My voice.
Stronger.
"You should have taught love."
The Creator's face hardened.
"Love weakens."
I shook my head.
"No."
Silver–black power rose around us.
"Love chooses."
The throne agreed making me think it always hear whatever we said.
Chains formed again but it was not from command.
From bond.
From choice.
The Creator attacked fast.
But he was slower here as the throne had weakened him.
He struck at me but Leonidas's bond shielded me.
Even here without him.
Even though he was unconscious which the Creator saw.
And for the first time I saw envy in his face.
Deep envy.
Because he had never been chosen.
Only obeyed.
The Fallen struck him from behind as shadow fire wrapped around him while I hit him with silver chains.
The throne locked.
Piece by piece.
He fought, roared and broke.
But every time, the chains returned stronger.
Because now they were fueled by something greater than power.
Connection.
The Creator looked at me.
Desperate now.
"You would abandon your father?"
The word hurt.
Father.
But I stood firm.
"You were never one."
That broke something in him.
Not physically but I could sense it did emotionally.
And suddenly, I saw the truth.
He had once loved.
Once cared for.
Before power consumed him.
Before fear.
Before loneliness.
He wasn't born this way.
He became this.
And that made it sad.
It was not forgivable.
But sad.
The throne tightened.
The Creator fell to one knee.
The chains wrapped around his chest, his arms and his throat as he looked at the Fallen.
Then me.
And for the first time, I saw regret from him.
"You were meant to be greater."
The Fallen's eyes filled.
"We are."
The final chain rose.
The seal.
The last lock.
The Creator looked at me.
One final chance.
One final doubt.
But this time, I had none.
I drove the chain through his heart as light exploded.
The throne roared.
The Creator screamed; not in pain but in release, in freedom.
And then, there was silence.
The throne was sealed.
The spiritual world shattered.
Reality snapped back.
The battlefield returned.
The Hollows froze.
Then crumbled.
They became dust and were gone.
The Creator was gone.
He was sealed back.
Not dead but contained.
The arena fell silent.
Everyone was breathing hard.
They were bleeding but still alive and that was all that mattered for now.
I dropped to my knees exhausted and empty.
The Fallen stood beside me
trembling as well.
The throne behind us stood whole again.
Twin.
Balanced.
The dragon bowed deeply.
"It is done."
Kael collapsed laughing.
"I hate everything."
Malrik helped him up.
Zander looked disgustingly untouched despite the blood.
Caius stared at the throne.
His face unreadable.
The Shadow King exhaled like he had been holding breath for centuries.
And then—
I remembered.
Leonidas.
I turned around and found him still on the ground not moving like the rest.
My heart stopped.
I ran and fell beside him.
Blood was everywhere.
Too much.
"Leonidas."
No response.
My hands shook as I touched his face which as gone cold.
Too cold.
"No."
The mate bond, it was silent.
I could feel it.
No.
"No....no...no", I screamed.
His eyes opened weakly.
And I almost broke.
"You're alive."
His mouth twitched.
"Disappointed?"
I laughed through tears.
Idiot.
Complete idiot.
He reached up weakly, touching my cheek.
"You did it."
I leaned into his hand.
"We did."
His eyes shifted past me.
To the throne.
Then narrowed.
Because the throne was glowing again.
Wrong.
Not stable.
Wrong.
The dragon's head snapped up.
"That's impossible."
The throne cracked.
Once.
Twice.
And from inside it, a voice whispered that was not the Creator but something else.
Something deeper.
Older.
Hungrier.
And the throne spoke one terrifying truth—
The First Queen is waking.
