"Hey, hey, it doesn't matter now. I'm here. So I thought today we would do something a little different." I said in a mysterious tone. Their eyes grew big with curiiousity and some leaned forward to hear what I was going to say. "I want you all to sit in a circle." Everyone scrambled to comply with my wishes. "Today we are going to sing nursery rhymes but with a twist. I will play a nursery rhyme with an emotion. You have to guess what emotion I'm playing." "You can't play a nursery rhyme with different emotions." Diego said with disbelief. "Raise your hand if you think I can't play a song with different emotions." I watched one by one as small arms shot in the air. Janey, my faithful, was the only who stood by me. "Ok since Janey is the only one to believe me, can you sit by me." Janey left the circle and perched next to me on the piano bench. "I want you as a group to give me a nursery rhyme and Janey will give me an emotion. Once I play the song you all will have to guess what emotion Janey gave me. Everyone understands?" All the small heads nodded their understanding. "Humpty Dumpty." Robbie announced. Janey leaned over cupping her hands to my ear, "silly." First I played the normal version of humpty dumpty and then I put a silly slant to it. The kids jumped up and huddled together as we waited patiently for their answer. Michael stepped forward, "Happy." Janey shook her head no. The huddle suck Michael back in and they whispered back and forth. Michael stepped forward again, "Excited?" Janey giggle and shook her head again. They huddled becoming more boisterous as they tried to guess the emotion. Peppa hopped forward, "silly?" "Yes!" Janey confirmed. Everyone screamed their achievement. "Ok Janey you pick someone to take your place." "Wendy." Wendy assumed her position of power and we waited for the next challenge. We carried on this game for the next hour. There were a couple of songs I couldn't play but for the most part it turned out great. After everyone left, Robbie and Janey remained. I gave Janey her first piano lesson, keeping it simple with learning a couple of keys and taught her first song, 'hot cross buns.' After they left I waited another twenty minutes before I left to throw off any suspicions that I was spending time with the kids. I glanced down at my watch and realized it was close to four thirty and I wasn't sure what I was going to do. I haven't heard from Colin today, but I made sure I avoided the house. As I move closer to the main house I saw a buzz of activity. A couple of groups of people dressed in their all black security uniform prepping for a mission. Fear slowed my steps thinking that maybe we were under attack in retaliation of getting Colin back. Then all eyes turned to me, the men and women in black stared at me. Aww damn, I'm in trouble. Colin made his way between them stalking towards me. I'm in a shit storm now, because it looks like they were forming a search party for me. I focused on the man that headed for me with determination. He halted a few feet away and slowly assess me, a turbulence of emotions passed through him and I was left with one very daunting one, anger. "Hey." I broke the awkward silence as he continue to glared down at me. I shielded my eyes from the sun trying to hold his intimidating glare. "Hey, that's all you have to say?" His voice was tight and strained like he was fighting to keep his temper under control. "Umm, it's a pretty day." ooo smooth Celeste. "Where have you been?" anger still laced his voice and it was started to get under my skin. I mean who did he think he was? My dad? Well hell no, he wasn't. I jutted out my chin in defiance. "Out." "Celeste." His voice lowered to a deep rumble. "Colin." I mimic. I was not going to be intimidated. Colin's hand firmly wrapped my upper arm and dragged me towards the house. "Colin, stop! Let go!" He ignored me and storm into the house passing security people. I desperately tried prying his hand off my arm not caring who saw. "Let go of me, right now!" I searched around for help from people around us but the cowards just moved out of our way or stared down at the ground. Once we were in Colin's room he let go slamming the door shut. Now we were alone in a enclosed room and the only escape was blocked by a pissed off Colin. I stomped over the couch throwing myself down and rubbing my arm. "That was not necessary!" "You act like a little child, then I will treat you like one!" I vaulted to my feet placing my hands on my hips, "Are you serious? Me, a child? I wasn't the one demanding to know my whereabouts like you are my dad? I didn't know I had to check in around here every minute of the day? Am I prisoner here, Colin?" My words seemed to deflate some of his anger and his facial feature softened. "Celeste it's not that you need to check in. No one knew where you were and Natalie said that you were hanging with some people. When we found out that wasn't true, I naturally got concerned. I thought.. I thought that maybe they had gotten you." I felt like the scum of the earth. I fought the urge to go and wrap my hands around his waist to give him a hug. It seems like the right thing to do. I didn't really know him but I did feel a little bad for causing him to worry about me. "I'm sorry, Colin. I just needed time to myself. After seeing my car in shambles, I wanted peace to myself. I'm not used to being surrounded by people all day long." I opted to wrap my arms around myself intstead. "Why is that Celeste? Why are you so alone?" His questions hit a little to close to home and I wasn't ready to face those questions. "I'm an only child. And being here is like being in one huge extended family. It's a little overwhelming sometimes." "What aren't you telling me? There's more." Damn how would he know. "There's nothing else to tell. I will make sure in the future to notify someone when I need to be alone." "Only one condition." "What?" "That you have to stay on the property. Don't go off the property, it's not safe." "I promise." Rapid succession of knocks halted any further discussion from Colin. I resumed my spot on the couch curling my legs under my body. I reached for the remote and turned on the tv flipping through the channels. "Celeste I have to go and handle some business. I will meet you down in the dining hall for dinner." "See you at dinner." I decided not to go and help in the kitchen and let sleep take over my tired mind.
