Laura.
I started to panic. At this time, we were still mates. He hadn't rejected me yet.
And since he was an Alpha’s son, he had advanced senses. The true born alpha like him could recognize his mate even at a young age.
Did that mean, he could sense his mate was just around?
‘Oh my God! How did I forget about that before deciding to pay him a visit?’
My heart seemed to beat in my throat when his eyes locked on mine.
‘Mate.’
My eyes grew wide. I heard that perfectly even though he was not moving his lips.
He was in my head!
“Oh, there you go, young master,” the Omega said, catching her breath.
But soon she realized the young Alaric was looking in a particular direction.
“Oh! Mrs. Morton,” the Omega quickly bowed her head down upon realizing it was me he was looking at.
I didn't know how to react or what should I say. The fact that she thought I was Mom was to my advantage, but knowing the young Alaric could recognize me gave me a scare.
I composed myself and decided to walk towards them. It would be suspicious if I turned around and left.
“Young master is a bit naughty today. But it was tolerable–Oh! What is wrong, young master? Why are you giving Mrs. Morton that kind of look?”
“She isn't Mrs. Morton,” he said looking straight into my eyes.
Oh no! I was doomed!
“Who are you? Why are you in this pack and why did you look a lot like Beta David’s wife?”
Gosh, for a kid at his age, he was so rude.
But what would I expect? Alaric grew up to be far from being like his father. I had a suspicion that he was not the real son of our Alpha.
What if there was a spy in the pack who exchanged the real son of Alpha Evo for someone else's baby?
Ugh! I didn't know. All I knew was that Alaric was the same pain in the ass young master, even when he was still young.
I gathered myself together and tried to act right.
“What are you talking about, young master? I am David’s wife. I just came out of our room to breathe fresh air after a long day of knitting.”
Young Alaric frowned. He looked unconvinced.
And he was looking at me so rudely!
‘She is my mate, I could feel it. But why did she look a lot like Mrs. Morton? And why did I mate with someone who is way too old for me? I can't believe this!’
No way! He was in my head again!
I braced myself not to laugh upon hearing his thoughts.
Too old for him, huh? If only he knew he was just 6 years ahead of me. And when I went back to my time, he would be just 4 years ahead of me.
Ah! And when I went back, he would regret rejecting me. Or if he hadn't rejected me, I would have rejected him first!
He should have a taste of his own medicine.
“Young Master, maybe you are just tired. You better take a rest. And I will be on my way to David. I missed him so much.”
I suddenly saw his eyes flare upon hearing what I said. Surely he was indignant upon knowing that his newfound mate was looking for someone.
Hah! Suited him better.
I ignored his wrath and turned to the Omega.
“Have you seen my David? I missed him already.”
The Omega smiled sweetly while the young Alaric was trying to contain his anger. For someone as young as him, I could not believe he was able to show fierceness.
Oh, I forgot that he was Alpha's son. That was not impossible.
“Oh, I think I saw him coming out from the garage area. He must be tired from the race,” the Omega answered eagerly.
I knew it. Dad’s hobby was having a motor race with Alpha Evo. Both were good at that.
I smiled back. “Alright, I think it's time to take care of my tired husband. I’ll take my leave,” I turned to young Alaric whose face couldn't be painted. I bowed to him with respect. “Have a nice day, future Alpha.”
I quickly left the community garden to escape the raging eyes of that little brat. I was more focused now on visiting Dad. I’d missed him so much. I could not wait to see him!
Upon arriving at the training area, I saw Dad drinking water. The Alpha was taking his walk towards the mansion. Looked like they just finished their business.
Dad looked tired yet happy. Upon seeing him, my heart swelled with happiness and longing. Daughterly longing. I quickly ran towards him and gave him a back hug.
He was startled and quickly turned around. Different emotions quickly crossed through his eyes.
“Who are you?” confused, he asked.
His normal reaction should be angry. A random girl just hugged him. But he could not be angry because I was his precious daughter.
“You are not Lovi. Who are you?!”
Of course he could tell I was not Mom despite the fact that I looked a lot like her. They were fated mates so he would know the difference.
I gave him a mischievous smile.
“Guess who,” I playfully said.
“Lovi doesn't have a twin sister and that is for sure,” he continued while giving me an intent gaze.
“That's for sure. Because I am not her twin sister.” I smiled sweetly.
“Then, who the hell are you?!” Irritation started to arise from him.
I couldn't help but secretly giggle. It was fun teasing Dad. I've been doing this to him since I was a kid and the result is always great.
“Then, can I call you Daddy?”
Shocked wasn't enough to describe his reaction. And I was trying hard to hold back my laughter.
“Hell no!” He winced, annoyingly. “You know, I could hit a girl.”
Jeez! He was starting to get pissed off.
“If you keep doing that I will surely do it.”
“Oh, that was mean.” I grinned. “But, if not Daddy, then, what do you want your daughter to call you in the future?”
His jaw dropped. One moment he was indignant. The next moment, his eyes were fiery like fire. He looked like he wanted to strangle me.
Oh no!
