Chapter 18

"Oh my! The world is going downhill." Jun Shang had already stepped aside, shaking his head, and casually reminded, "Do you want to take a photo for your social media? It's a rare sight, you know."

The guys who had just entered reacted quickly. Since they were already playing with their phones, their fingers moved faster than their brains, and they started taking pictures.

"Don't take photos!" The guy on the bottom had lifted his head, but with someone on top, he couldn't get up. Both of them were nervously shouting, and this made their faces directly face the camera.

Meanwhile, Jun Shang, deeply hidden in skill and fame, had already left the restroom.

Watching Jun Shang come back alone and sit down, both Xiu Min and her female colleague widened their eyes.

Originally, their attitudes were different. The female colleague hoped that the two male colleagues would teach this scoundrel a lesson and make him back off. She was waiting for the victorious return of the two male colleagues.

On the other hand, Xiu Min was full of worry. She was a bit nervous and fearful of this man, but in the morning, President Yun clearly said he knew him. So, maybe it was just a coincidence or a misunderstanding. If the two colleagues hurt him, she wouldn't know how to face President Yun, and it would be unfair to involve an innocent person.

Now, the result left both of them stunned. What is this?

Jun Shang came back and sat in his original seat, picked up his coffee, and took a sip. In a short time, the coffee was unaffected.

The two women, sitting at the same table, were both nervous and curious watching him in such a leisurely manner.

"What about them?" The female colleague began to worry and secretly pulled Xiu Min.

Xiu Min gathered her courage and whispered, "Are you okay? What did they do to you?"

But looking closely, did he look like he had any problems? She quickly added, "Or did you do something to them?"

Jun Shang shrugged, "They wanted to do something to me, but I didn't want to do anything to them. I guess the two good buddies are probably fooling around in the restroom!"

The two women were speechless. How could the two colleagues go fool around? They clearly came after him!

Realizing that something was wrong and feeling that things between him and Xiu Min might not be so simple, the female colleague immediately left the table and headed to the restroom to see how the two colleagues were doing.

Xiu Min sighed and didn't stop her. She wanted to follow but also felt it wouldn't be good for Jun Shang.

She forced herself to stay seated and said, "Um... I really didn't mean for them to target you. I don't know why it turned out like this. Please don't tell President Yun."

Jun Shang couldn't help but roll his eyes at her. He really didn't want to bother with her. What kind of talk was this? Did he need to complain to a woman?

Seeing him not responding, she continued, "How are the two of them? You didn't do anything to them, right?"

"Sis! It was the men's restroom. It's a public place. How could I do anything to them? And these two good buddies who volunteered to be protectors are big and tall. It's good enough that they didn't do anything to me."

"Sis!" Xiu Min felt a bit dizzy. Am I that old? Just look at yourself, calling someone "sis"!

After complaining, Jun Shang shook his head, "I'm unlucky to meet you. Forget it, consider me a jinx. Just don't appear in front of me again."

"Hey!" Xiu Min, who had been quiet and timid, couldn't help but get annoyed. "What do you mean I'm unlucky to meet you? I'm a jinx? Clearly, it's you who has been... been..."

She sneakily looked around, blushing. She didn't dare to say the words about him taking advantage of her on the public bus.

"Wasn't it me who was here first drinking coffee? Did I see you or provoke you first?" Jun Shang retorted.

"...No." Xiu Min felt a bit guilty. Even though she suspected it was a genuine coincidence or that he intentionally came first, the fact remained that he was here before her, with the coffee as evidence.

"So what?" Jun Shang, seeing that she couldn't look at him directly, couldn't help but tease, "I say... could it be that you find me troublesome on purpose to attract my attention because you think I'm handsome?"

"Absolutely not!" Xiu Min widened her eyes and couldn't help muttering under her breath, "Why is your face so thick? Where are you handsome?"

"Oh! Not handsome, huh? So you're denying the handsome part, but not denying the intentional troublemaking to get my attention? If you like me, just say it. I'm easy to get along with."

Jun Shang sighed, "Ah! Even when I'm not handsome, I can drive girls crazy. If I were handsome, it would be even worse. Being too charming is a sin!"

Xiu Min was speechless. This guy's shamelessness is beyond imagination! And she also realized that she couldn't win in a verbal spar with him. Concerned about the situation of the two colleagues, she gritted her teeth and said, "Consider us even now. Don't intentionally appear in front of me again!"

After saying this, she quickly left, unable to bear hearing more of his self-loving words, which would be nauseating and cheesy.

After teasing Xiu Min for a bit, Jun Shang's mood relaxed. He sipped his coffee, checked his phone, and contemplated the situation.

Approaching the end of the workday, Shi Ni called him, saying that Yun Xiao wouldn't need the car and he could have dinner first, but he shouldn't leave and must be ready at any moment.

Shi Ni had already arranged a dining card for him, and he could have lunch in the company's cafeteria.

Jun Shang didn't refuse. Since he had free time and it wasn't convenient to stroll around Future Tech, he went to the cafeteria for lunch.

He went a bit earlier than others, so there weren't many people. The company cafeteria offered a variety of dishes at reasonable prices, a part of the welfare subsidy.

However, trouble followed. Before he could finish his meal, a person in uniform, a security guard, sat in front of him.

"What's up?" Jun Shang glanced at him.

"Let's talk after you finish eating." The security guard smiled warmly, gesturing for Jun Shang to continue.

Jun Shang took a closer look at him. He seemed to be around thirty, and the uniform couldn't conceal the powerful muscles underneath. This wasn't an ordinary security guard; he seemed to be someone who had practiced martial arts and consistently maintained physical training.

"I know what you want to do, don't waste time." Jun Shang sneered.

Even with just a little common sense, one could guess that this security guard was probably the assistant hired by Xiu Min's two male colleagues.

The security guard still maintained a smile, "No problem, not wasting time. You can eat first, or eat a little less to avoid wasting food."

Jun Shang raised an eyebrow, "Wasting food? It seems like you're quite self-aware. You must not have had lunch, right?"

"Yes." The security guard still had a smile on his face, not seeing anything wrong with it.

Jun Shang finished his meal in a few bites but showed no intention of leaving.

"No worries, take a break. Or should I get you a glass of water?" The security guard's attitude didn't seem like he was here to cause trouble; it was more like he was buttering up.

"Do you know who I am?" Jun Shang frowned.

"Yes, our captain informed us about you. If I'm not mistaken, you should be President Yun's private driver," the security guard said politely.

"Then why bother me?"

"Hehe, it's a private matter, just some small things. I believe with your generosity, it won't trouble President Yun." With courtesy hiding an ulterior motive, it implied that if he were to report to Yun Xiao or complain to Shi Ni, it would mean he lacked generosity.

Jun Shang chuckled, "Of course, I won't complain about you guys. But I don't have that much time to play with you. If you want to stand up for someone, be prepared to pay the price!"

The security guard still maintained a smile, "No problem, anyone can pay the price. Look, I've even prepared by skipping lunch."

Prepared to be beaten until you throw up! Being able to openly say this not only showed his demeanor but also indicated confidence in his own strength.

"Even if I beat you to death, it's none of my business, right?" Jun Shang sneered, "Although I'm bored, my time is valuable. If you want to pick a fight with me, you'll need to pay a appearance fee first!"
