Micah's office was buzzing with chatter and the occasional laughter from the men who were present. They were all waiting for Dimitri and Marco who were still busy in the other office.
After some more minutes of waiting they all heard the door of Micah's office open and all the men directly stopped talking as they watched Micah's mother, Anastasia walking in on the arm of Marco, with Dimitri closely behind them.
The trio walked over to the other side of the table and helped Anastasia to sit down before they did themselves. Then Marco stood up again and looked over to at all the men who were present in the room while mentally preparing himself for what he was about to them all, hoping that they would believe him.
''Good evening, i have called you all in here for a meeting because me and Dimitri have received some news this afternoon regarding the kidnapping of our Don! Our good doctor Angelo, which you all know, have come to us and told us that he knows the woman who took the Boss from us!'' he said and then paused for effect.
Some of the men gasped and some others did' not react but just waited.
''Also the Doctors old man knows her and her family background too and its not a pretty one i can tell you! so my plan is to go to him and see if i can get some info out of him, especially about the whereabouts of the woman and then we will proceed from there! That is one, now the other thing that has come to our attention by a source, is that Don Salvatore, our enemy has been playing dirty behind our backs and is trying to gain intel about the mines! so i want you all to be very vigilant and report anything out of the ordinary back to either me or Dimitri understood?'' Marco asked while scanning the room with seriousness edged on his face. most men mumbled a yes, while others simply nodded.
''Good! about both subjects, we will keep you informed and as soon as we know more about any of these then i will call you all in again for another meeting, to discuss these matters further, so for now just wait and sit tight and hold the fort, oh and Donna wants to say something as well" Marco said before sitting down.
Slowly Anastasia stood up from her seat with Dimitri´s helping hand and steadied herself before facing the group of men.
¨I know i have not been of much help in finding your boss, my son, lately but i just can not wrap my head around this and the cancer is......well we all know what cancer does the a human being so i beg you, ALL of you, find my son and bring him back because he is all i have left of my late husband and i love and miss him very much, also i hereby give my full support for Marco to step in and take the place as the new Don until my son have returned and i expect you will do the same!¨ She chocked out the last couple of words as tears threatened to spill from her eyes.
¨Well, you have heard her, lets find out more and get him back and i think i can speak in behalf of the rest, as a say that we all accept Marco!¨ Ricardo, the new guy said with a raised voice and his fist in the air. The rest joined him in unison, making a small smile of gratitude appear on Anastasia´s slightly pale face as she sat down again.
Suddenly Marco´s phone rang and kept an ringing while outside the unmistakably sound of a loud explosion was heard, making them all jumping up in shock and drew their guns in the process.
"Go, get her to her room and stay there with two others, understood?" Dimitri barked with his eyes still on Marco who was still on his phone. Lucas who stood closest now to Anastasia, grabbed her hand while walking over to the door.
Meanwhile, Marco barked trough his phone demanding a quick answer from the caller.
¨Justin, what the freak is going on outside?! we heard some sort of an explosion!¨ he asked with on hand in his hair.
''Its Salvatore'' Justin replied him with slight panic in his voice,
¨Sal? did he planted a bomb?¨ Marco asked with raised eyebrows.
¨No boss, he is here, that explosion was just a rouge although it was trowed over the gate by one of his men though, but he demands us to open the gates immediately!¨ Justin explained some more while Marco listened with his eyes turning some shades darker...
¨Reason?¨ Marco asked with tight lips.
Justin stayed silent for a second or two.
¨I...i think he knows boss, he knows the Don is missing! he said now it was a very good time for him to claim what is rightfully his!¨ Justin said the words that had been said to him, after that he disconnected the call and turned with a heavy sigh to Dimitri.
''What is it?!'' Dimitri asked while putting on a bullet proof vest just in case.
''Salvatore!'' he muttered as Dmitri's eyes widen upon hearing the cursed name of their enemy!.
''Listen up everybody the enemy is near so stay on full allert at all times and only on comms! i will go and check with the others with Dimitri behind the cams and i will report back, understood?'' Marco ordered. After that he left the mansion and walked out towards the hidden path the led to the front main gate while Dimitri followed him via the security camera's.
While trying to think of all the possibilities of what could have brought Salvatore to the Santorini's estate in the first place, he prayed in silnce that it was not what he thought it was.
He also tried hard to steady his breath and ragging heartbeat so he could think properly what he needed to make cool calculated decisions if needed. As he slowly moved trough the estates bushes, he kept his ears and eyes open.
¨See anything yet?¨ he heard Dimitri´s voice coming from his earpiece.
¨Yeah, its him alright! the old bastard!¨ Marco whispered back at him as he watched trough some bushes, looking straight at the main gate. With a ragging furry rushing trough his veins he suddenly stepped out of his hiding pace and walked over to the gate. At the gate on the otheside of it he found Don Salvatore who stood beside his son surrounded by their men with their guns drawn as he smirked while starring back at Marco.
¨Let the war begin!!¨ Marco whispered under his breath while stepping forward, up to the iron gate, it was time to settle this once and for all!
