Chapter 90 A suicide mission I
WARNING: VIOLENCE AND BLOODSHED IN THIS CHAPTER.
“Careful! We don't want to make too much noise!”, Sebestian warned the other guys who he had specifically hand picked for the mission.
The imminent suicide mission.
Regardless, the men sauntered gently towards Luciano's mansion.
It wasn't their first rodeo, thus, they knew how to go about the situation.
“Are we sure the backdoor’s going to be open!?”, Will, one of the two men that went with Sebestian asked worriedly.
Such a mission had him on the edge.
“Yes! Look…
You can see it's slightly ajar!”, Sebestian answered as they approached the back door.
The men entered, deciding to move as a group to ensure they were able to neutralize oppositions.
Going through the back entrance, they left the back door the same way they had met it, shooting tranquilizing darts at security guards who roamed the ground.
“Fancy!”, Adriano exclaimed slightly once they got a proper view of Luciano's mansion.
“He's the Mafia Don! What do you expect!?”, Will asked rhetorically as Sebestian remained quiet, accessing the ground for any more guards before they moved towards the mansion.
Their contact, the one who had ordered the hit, but chose to remain anonymous had provided them with an inside man.
This inside man had provided access and given them a layout of the mansion, guard schedules and pretty much everything they needed to get to Luciano.
No doubt this inside man was Mia, the schemes and plotting led to that exact moment.
Theomwnt she thought would be successful.
Close enough to Luciano, Mia knew where and what Luciano would be doing at that time of the night, and she didn't hesitate to divulge the information.
Very aware of the danger that was coming, she made sure Luciano was in the mansion.
Following that, she retreated to the safety of her room, awaiting the execution of the plan.
The men moved with stealth, careful not to rouse suspicions.
They were literally trying to pull a fast one on the lion in his den, underestimating his prowess.
They continued to his room, moving so smoothly like they had been there before.
The way they lived displayed the trust they had in each other, emphasizing their teamwork.
At that specific moment, the fear of being caught outweighed the mistake of missing The Don’s room.
Sebestian was really grateful that the lights were out, as it granted them fluid movement around the mansion.
They really thought they could get away with such a job!
Andreas who had been working tirelessly in coordinating several teams around Italy to find Isabella finally got an update.
This is going to make The Don happy, he thought as he stared at the message Giovanni had sent to him.
Wasting no time in relaying the message to Luciano, Andreas carried his laptop and headed out of the room.
Still in his disheveled work clothes, Andreas walked towards Luciano's room, light on his steps as usual as he was determined to get a reaction out of The Don.
However, as he turned the corner, he was very surprised to see some men snooping around.
He gently placed his laptop on the nearest table, still light on his feet, Andreas looked towards the men as they approached Luciano's room.
“How the hell did they enter the mansion?!”, Andreas whispered as he brought out the pistol which was always strapped behind his back.
He cocked the gun after attaching a silencer to the gun, he quickly sent a text to alert the security team of an intruder alert.
Or what was remaining of them, he figured the intruders would have taken some of the guards out.
Their intentions were clear to Andreas as they approached Luciano's room.
He commended the stealth they upheld since they walked up the stairs.
Regardless, it was time to take care of the mess.
In one fell swoop, he navigated towards the first man who was supposed to be the lookout, holding his mouth shut as he twisted his neck.
He was Luciano's assistant for a reason.
Gun still in hand, Andreas slid into the room, taking cover by a decorative stand on Luciano's room.
He shot directly in the head of the masked man who stood by the door frame to Luciano's inner room.
Blood spluttered from the gunshot as Will’s body fell to the floor.
Sebestian felt the warm liquid rather suddenly, thus, he looked back, his gun lax in his hand as he approached Will’s body.
He looked around, already trembling as he tried to see who had shot at Will.
However, Andreas was only looking for a clear shot.
“Click!”, the gun sounded as Andreas shot Sebestian straight in the head.
Standing up, his gun still in hand, Andreas walked towards the bodies to confirm the kill.
The resting state the mansion had previously been in had been reawoken by the simple text Andreas had sent.
In no time, men rushed into the mansion, spreading themselves to different rooms for any other intruders.
Their actions were anything but subtle, in turn attracting Luciano’s attention and waking Madam Paula from her sleep.
Mia smiled in her room, wondering whether to update the anonymous caller that the mission was successful or she should wait a bit.
However, the smile on her face dropped when she heard, “...the bodies!”.
She couldn't process the words before the ones she made out because it was only supposed to be one body.
That of Luciano!!
Already thinking about the foiled plans, Mia came out to see some men descending the stairs with bodies in a body bag.
No, that can't be! They were supposed to carry out the mission, this was supposed to be it, Mia thought as she saw that the plan had foiled again.
“Are you okay?!”, Andreas came to her side as he saw her facial expression had changed immediately.
