Chapter 121 Imminent Double Cross
The man literally climbed into her bed!
She heard the bed frame creak, however, she wasn't really sure till she felt him bringing her closer to his chest as he climbed behind her.
Isabella's mind was reeling!
She hadn't been this close to him since ...
Since before she escaped.
'Did he mean what he said earlier!?!', Isabella asked herself as she tried to keep her body from tensing too much.
That would betray the fact that she hadn't slept yet.
Luciano scurried to get a better sleeping position, one which involved bringing her to his chest, close enough to feel and hear his heartbeat.
He peppered kisses on her forehead as he snuggled closer, one hand on her back, and the other drawing lines on her side.
Luciano had simply not been with any woman like that...
It felt...
It felt really good, comforting even.
He didn't feel his actions were weird or cringe, it really just felt natural.
A smile graced his lips as he recounted the details of his day to Isabella. Of course, leaving out the gory details.
The simple act, soon to become a tradition, felt really nice.

Goodnight!", Luciano said as he snuggled closer and fell asleep.
Isabella waited for a few minutes before her eyelids fluttered open.
'Goodnight!', She mouthed as she fell asleep in Luciano's warm embrace.
He slept really well that night. One of the best sleeps he'd had since his parents passed.

Following the order Luciano had given him, Andreas quickly booked a flight for them discreetly.
It had only taken a couple of phone calls, but he had quickly booked tickets for himself, Isabella and Sophia.
One which was due in a couple of days.
Luciano was going to stay back and handle business.
It was better to leave discreetly than to announce their departure.
They wouldn't want a bomb planted on them.

The morning after, Andreas and Luciano finally talked about the one gnarling fact they tried so hard to ignore.

Not only was Felix powerful in his own right, he was a colleague of Luigi's.
Luciano's uncle!
"How do you possibly want me to say Felix has been involved in really shady activities!?!", Luciano asked Andreas, panting slightly as he lifted the weights.
"Well you never know, we just gotta ask!", Andreas answered, spotting the Don.
The situation was really complicated.
A lot had been going on with his uncle, in the sense that things hadn't just been adding up.
He had noticed, but he still wouldn't pin anything on his uncle.
Hell, he loved the man!!
"You know what! Just go ahead and call him already!
We're going to be leaving soon anyway!
I mean...
Do you want to leave a mess?!", Andreas asked Luciano as he passed the phone to him.
"I'm just going to ask anyway!", Luciano said as he dropped the weight and grabbed the phone from Luciano.
Andreas continued with his workout as Luciano dialed Luigi's number.
He stared through the mirror as he watched Luciano's tense muscles relax.
Only meant one thing!
"Grazie zio", Andreas heard Luciano say as he cut the call.
"There's no connection!", Luciano said as he dropped his phone on the nearest surface.
Andreas turned to look at him. For the sake of avoiding civil war, he had previously hoped his uncle wasn't involved.
In their line of work, families double crossed each other easily.
Luciano loves his uncle, but that didn't mean Andreas loved him too.
"He said Felix double crossed him too!", Luciano said to Andreas as he finished up his set.
"So now Felix and Mei Ling are in on whatever plan they have with someone else!", Andreas said as he reflected on their actions so far.
"We just need to know who!", Luciano replied.
"Felix is one tough guy to crack!", Andreas said, thinking about how to possibly get answers for him.
"I mean!
Everyone loves their fingers!", Luciano commented as he smirked.
The men soon completed their set, heading towards the Villa for Sophia's second birthday party.

After her relentless plea for Celia to attend their baby's party, Luciano had finally agreed to letting Celia come to the Villa.
He was very well aware that it was a security risk, especially considering their situation as of that moment.
However, Isabella had started giving him the silent treatment and he just couldn't take it.
Especially after she'd dolled up for their daughter's baby.
"This isn't the best invitation to a baby's birthday party!", Isabella commented as she saw the van which contained Celia drive in.
The woman was literally contained!
Blindfolds and all!!
"It's not!", Luciano simply said as he stood behind Isabella.
For some reason, he just wanted to stay close.
"You can't forget!", Isabella reminded him of the little deal they had made.
"I would never amore!", Luciano replied.
For coming with him, Luciano had promised Celia's safety till said threats were neutralized.
Truth is, even if Isabella hadn't said anything, he still would have ordered a security detail for her.
Simply coming to the villa was enough for her to get tortured.
As the van came to a halt, Luciano went back inside, giving Isabella and Celia some privacy.
Hands bound behind her back and eyes blindfolded, Celia thought she had been kidnapped under the guise of a detail from Isabella.
"She didn't need to be bound!", Celia heard Isabella say.
"Protocol ma'am!", a gruff voice said as she felt the zip cuff loosening.
"Blurgh!", Celia exclaimed as she tried to get her hair out her mouth.
She scrambled to get the blindfold off as well.
She was surprised to see Isabella, hale and hearty.
She looked beautiful!
Celia had literally thought something happened to Isabella.
She had gone through her day very worried, waiting twenty four hours before she called the cops.
Strangely, the cops had told her they couldn't handle the case, looking around the compound, Celia understood why.
She had been slightly relieved when some men showed up saying they were from Isabella.
Celia rushed to hug Isabella, quite happy to see her friend.
"What's been going on!?
We've been really worried!", Celia said as she was really glad to see her friend in one piece.
"Where's Sophia?
Is she okay?!", Celia continued.
However, Isabella didn't say anything, making Celia worried.
"Let's go in first!", Isabella said as she led Celia into the villa.
