Chapter 130 Did you ever ask her
Arianna's POV
He kept mute, as though I was invisible.
"Have thought this over?" He mutters so easily convinced.
I folded my lips with a bright look at him and a weary smile.
"Yeah, what do you think?" I responded wondering what his response would be.
He scoffed at me and then tightened his lips.
"You're tempting" responded beneath his voice and then chuckled.
When he did that, I felt emotional and desired to embrace him.
He flickered his fingers on the table and then dart his gaze at me.
"You're brave Arianna and I'd do anything just for you" he added up and I sniffed as he stood up.
Just what I wanted. He spread his arms with a bright smile at me.
"Come here darling" he whispers and I moved to hug him. He scooped me in his arms, with so much affection.
I rested my head on his chest, that affection I so much desired was there.
We kissed, he parted my lips, letting his tongue inside my mouth and having to taste his mouth.
I was pleased that he finally agreed, for me to be charge. It was difficult convincing him but at last, he agreed.
I tightened my grip on him and shut my eyes. It was time, I was prepared and i'd scale through.
We left the office and decided to go to an amusement park, somewhere he calls magical.
There i got to see kids, running to and fro. Their smiles, their chuckles and laughter made me teary and smile.
I danced with him, we chatted and then cracked jokes. It's been a while we did such.
He felt so alive, giving me a chance to be myself.
When we were done, we decided to walk the streets with bright face and hopeful eyes.
His hands held me as he kissed my palm.
"It's good to have you back" he said with a bright gaze at me.
I wasn't back, I was just trying to be myself because it turns out that I might pass out with depression and my ravyen was the best.
"Tell me, how does it feel working as an underdog"
"I just started" I mused swinging his hand to and fro.
He scoffed and then teased me.
"Wow, that's impressive, gradually you'd learn a lot" he mutters rubbing my hair and stroking my back and for the first time in a long while, I smiled.
"Yeah" I said in a dull tone, feeling sad again.
"It's so hard, I can't even crack a deal yet!" I confessed as we both paused and then he gazed at me.
"Jeez, it's not easy though, it took me three years to crack a deal" he encouraged and I leaned my head on his shoulder, kissing him on his arm.
Then my eyes met the pendant on his neck, he still had it. It seems to grow along with him.
"That pendant, do you have it on you all the time?"
He was silent and then furrowed his gaze at me.
"How about we take a seat and talk history"
I giggled naughtily as I'd be delighted to learn mom. Perhaps, he loved the girl who gave him that, ended up with Bianca whom he said he'd find.
As for me, we met again and I was sure he just didn't know I was the Arianna he spent close to two years with.
He found a spot for us to sit and it was on a street bench.
We sat down and after settling down a bit, he wrapped his arms around the pendant and then exhaled.
"It belongs to a clumsy, crazy, sticky, not too pretty girl" he begins and I scoffed at him.
Is that what he really sees me as?
"So why do you have it on?"
"Well, ironically she's my fairygod mother and it's my lucky charm"
I was quiet, lost in what he was saying. He truly believed me when I said that. I was touched but his eyes were reading a different thing.
"Oh, Arianna I mean no offense, there's nothing between us... you're mine, no one else"
He tried to hold my hand and then I smacked his back and burst into laughter.
It's okay, I wasn't offended, I just needed to know what he felt about my younger version.
If there was any emotions attached and then I'd tell him the truth that I was the one.
"Let's tell ourselves the naked truth" i suggested and he grinned mischievously at me.
"Okay, I'd undress first" he joked taking off his jacket and I eyed him, covering my chest properly with the jacket on me.
My cheeks flushes red, intrigued to know more about our past.
He wrapped his arms around my back and I rested my head on his shoulder while I listen to his tale.
"Something called emotions was setting but she doesn't like me, she only sees me as an elder brother" he replied with a side sigh.
I locked my fingers with his, kissed my teeth and then said;
"Did you ever ask her, about her feelings, I mean she might have..."
"I know that silly girl, we actually met Bianca and she was vouching for us to end up together"
I smiled sheepishly and wondered if dad was alive, would ravyen had still lived with us? Then a new spark of romance.
He wouldn't have been a mafia, more like philanthropist or a soldier as he dreams of becoming.
"We were so close, looking out for each other until that tragedy, when she met me that night"
My smile faded hearing him say that with a heavy heart, as though he blamed himself for what happened.
That tragedy was the death of my father, he mysteriously died due the pursuit for Ravyen's right.
I found ravyen in tears, pain and grieved. Rather than soliciting with him, I dragged him outside the house.
I was more closer to my dad than my mom even though he was strict. I could recall weeping and calling ravyen a murderer.
I told it to his face that he murdered my mom and shouldn't be around here.
Even when mom tried to talk some sense in me, I still blamed him. It got to an extent I scream it loud that he was a murderer.
