Chapter 115 I need help
Arianna's POV
I exhaled softly and stride inside the house. Another lonely day. I quietly laid on the bed and rubbed my tummy with my cheeks flushing red.
I shut my eyes and waking them up, I realized it's already two days without him at home.
However, we keep in touch. It's early and time to hit the gym. I'm sure he'd scold me when he finds out but then, I just have to keep fit.
I just didn't want much pampering. His call woke me up and after a little chat and video calls and plead that he should give me some breathing space, we ended.
It wasn't as though life was rosy. I occasionally receive more threat messages which was quite frightening.
However, I intend to break it to Ravyen when he returns, he'd do something about it.
I knew it was definitely Ivan, he wouldn't keep calm, learning that Ravyen and I are back for good.
I rose up lazily from the bed, cussing at the sun as it had risen so high and quite annoying for the morning.
It was yet another day, the same routine and possibly another fear gripping threat.
My strength was ravyen and with him, I was certain everything would take place peacefully.
Then I stride to the closet to get something to wear. The regular, track suits.
Once I was done dressing, I paced out to join other joggers for the morning drill.
After I was done, I decided to return home but through a shortcut. An alley precisely.
It was lonely here which was unusual but I didn't mind, at least, I got myself a mixed fruit juice.
Something to retain my strength while I walk. It was all part of exercise. The only person I could think of was ravyen.
He hadn't told me when he'd return but I felt it would be soon.
I was so pleased that he had me in charge, to handle his business here.
When he returns, I'd share the big news about our company's progress. I wasn't bad afterall in handling business.
That was one reason why Ivan kept me but he was the last now.
While I stride and sip down the fruit juice, rolling my eyes to scan the place, I suddenly heard footsteps behind me.
I was curious but I wasn't the owner of this alley and so passerbys could be much.
At first, I thought it was just a passerby and I took a glimpse at who walks the alley with me.
However, there was no one. I shook my head if perhaps, this person took another turn.
Then the footsteps came back and I tried to peep a bit. My eyes pictured a man in dark hoodie, boots and pants.
He seems suspicious judging from the way he looks and how he followed every trail I took.
I stopped drinking my juice, scrolling my eyes everywhere and hastening my footsteps.
I took out my phone to get help but then I didn't want to exaggerate yet. My heart skipped hard as my nose flares.
My pulse was fast and the vein around my neck tightens. I was restless but tried to stay cautious and alert.
My body felt exhausted as it felt as though the alley lengthened it path or perhaps, fear made it look as though it was an unending journey.
My feet led me to another turn just to clear up my mind that I wasn't followed.
That was a relief because when I turned he wasn't after me, not until the footsteps repeats.
Shockingly, he was still behind me. I tightened my grip on the fruit juice. I quickly threw the juice, searching for a place and I could run or dash in.
I took a peep again and saw that he had a dagger in his hand. I folded my lips, began a race.
He raced after me and I could hear his grunt, I kept turning and I saw that he was trying to reach me by stretching his hand.
I couldn't see his face clearly except for a slight cut around lips. It felt like a scar though and not quite visible except from up close.
His hand almost grabbed me but my eyes were quick to noticed a sack of trash leaning to a wall.
I quickly grabbed it and threw at him. It was fucking heavy but fear could let anyone do anything.
He growl and pushed it away while furthering his steps closer while I kept throwing trashes at him.
Though, that didn't stop me from running.
At last I got out of that confined space and found myself at a crosswalk, filled with pedestrian and the traffic warder was around.
I pants softly and bent slightly to regain my breath. Swiftly, I turned to see if he'd come out in public.
It seems as though he took a retractable step backward, adjusted the hoodie on him and vanished.
I placed a palm on my chest, totally exhausted and tired.
My hair had scattered on my face and some pedestrian too a glimpse at me. Seriously, it's best, they mind their business.
While I tried to regain my strength, I wondered who perhaps that person was.
This was so bizzare but I tried to handle the situation.
Then my phone beeps and I shuddered. It was ravyen. I inhaled softly and then blew out air while trying to find a shade to rest.
I really needed to hear his voice even we talked like an hour ago. He was crazy, he doesn't mind halting a meeting just to talk to me.
At times, when he's in the middle of a meeting, he's chatting with me or just doing casual video calls.
Frank hits me up with all the details about ravyen even when he's with a woman but never get intimate with them.
Well, he kept to his promise, controlling his sexual urge and have me only as his.
Any woman he's with is purely business. Thinking about him made me forget the jiggle I went through the alley.
