Gabriel -
While my father and now my stepmother were on their honeymoon, I have gotten enough work done so I could at home with my family.
Being home with my wife was nice but my sons that is a different story. Other than being home a little bit more than unusual, I still worked on business. Also keeping check with my sisters. In fact, I have lunch today with Rowan which I am looking forward. My nephew is very funny kid from Rowan and my niece from Rowan went with her father to America because Ambrose had to go work there. Mila, my niece wanted to go with her father, tell you she has him wrapped around her finger.
Finished getting dressed heading out the door of my house. I knew that Rowan would meet me at the office of my business so we could lunch.
Got into the elevator, going to my floor, seeing a small boy and my sister already there. Us three ate in my office of over Italian takeout, best food so far that I had in a long time. We updated each other of things that we did recently specially as our families. And of course, I do not tell Rowan or any of my sisters on what I do, not even my wife. Because it is the code we have among our families.
Women of the family must not be brought into any business that does not concern them. As old as our family is, women that marry a Salvatore is the mother of the house, to the children, grandchildren.
Has no opinions on the type of work we do. It is just better that they don't know the certain dark things we do. Stuff like that is better to remain in the darkness. All for protection.
Soon after Rowan left because my nephew was getting sleepy after we had our lunch. Saying goodbye to by sister as I watched her leave the building before getting back to work.
Elijah -
As the honeymoon ended, we headed back to the house. Emma said she was going to go take a bath. I was going to get started on making dinner for us both
Whipping up something for dinner briskly putting it on the table. I saw Emma came out in her pjs, for a split second I was not hungry for food.
Emma saw my face shaking her head no with a smile as she took a seat at the table. That is okay I will get her later. Elijah and Emma had a wonderful night after their dinner. After a month from the honeymoon, I could not be happier. Elijah has been great ever since I have met him.
He told me who actual he was and that he is still that person deep inside. And I can respect that. I appreciate him being honest with me since day one. But something is not right with me. It's been a month, and I have been tired than usual, to me it is making me worried.
I know that Elijah is getting worried about me because I have been so sick. So, I told him that I booked an appointment at the doctors.
He assistant that he comes as well and I did not mind it all. So right now, I am getting dressed so we can leave, to figure out what is going on with me.
Coming down the stairs, Elijah holds my hand walking outside going to the car. Elijah opening the door for me so I can get in first. Elijah pulled out of the driveway making his way to the doctors.
It took about 45 minutes to get to the doctor's and a 5-minute wait to be called by the doctor.
When we were called, we moved to the back in a exam room. The doctor came in; she introduced her name as Dr. Deanna Moore.
She asked me what I was feeling the past few days. She took in the words I said so then she asked me to lean back so she can check something. Elijah came closer to me holding my hand as he watched the doctor. The doctor grabbed a machine that was in the corner of the room. She asked me to lift my shirt so she can check my stomach. I was getting worried as the minutes passed by. Because I thought this was very serious issue. As she scanned my stomach the doctor began to smile.
" What is it?" Asked Emma worried
" Mrs. Salvatore, you are pregnant. And it looks like twins."
I am sitting there frozen; I slowly look over to Elijah and seeing his face shock all over his.
I think he didn't want any more children, but I see that he is happy about this when he let it sink in.
For me I thought I could not get pregnant but here I am. Pregnant with Twins! What do to? Elijah leads down and kisses my forehead.
Spending 10 more minutes at the doctor's office to make sure that we needed all of the information for birth to go smoothly when the time comes.
After that we headed home, and it ended up having Elijah carrying me inside the house all the way to our bed. This pregnancy will be very interesting I thought. The rest of the day Elijah helped me with everything that I needed. I believe he was nervous about me being pregnant which could be understandable. Because he told me that he was not there for his other children before they were born. He wants to do this right I see in his eyes. When the morning comes around Elijah is going to call the others to tell them that they are getting new siblings to the family. What a load this lot will be.
This is going to be very interesting indeed. We will just have to wait and see.
