Chapter 13: Riverdale

The elevator fell silent in an instant.

Amelia and Joshua, who were mocking Matthew just a moment ago, thought they had misread something. They blinked their eyes, confirming that Matthew had pressed the button for the highest floor.

Immediately, their mouths slightly opened, and their eyes were filled with disbelief.

This was Harmony Suites' tenth floor, not open to the public. It was a place only accessible to a select group of people, those with extremely close connections, particularly the top circle of Riverdale, including Elizabeth and Ryan.

"Ding!"

After a while, the elevator stopped. The doors opened, and at the entrance, two beautiful attendants wearing sweet smiles said, "Welcome to the tenth floor of Harmony Suites!"

The four of them remained stunned, and Matthew smiled slightly, saying, "Aren't you all going to get off the elevator?"

Only then did they snap out of it, and Joshua swallowed nervously!

However, Ryan displayed a smile on his face and said, "It seems that you left quite an impression on Chloe Ross yesterday to be introduced to others so quickly."

His words implied that Matthew was still hired this time, and the person who hired him should be from the top elite circle of Riverdale.

Matthew raised his gaze and calmly replied, "Between leeching and being kept, which one is more disgusting?"

"You should all get out now." Matthew looked at them and spoke calmly.

Ryan looked at Matthew, sneered, and said, "Hmph, trash who follows others just to have a meal. What are you pretending for? When you're able to come dine at Harmony Suites on your own, then come and show off in front of me!"

With that, he walked out of the elevator.

Indeed, from beginning to end, they never believed that Matthew could come to this place based on his own abilities.

Only after the elevator doors closed did Amelia start cursing.

"This guy, after divorcing you, dares to challenge you?"

Elizabeth's face still didn't look too good.

She was very displeased with Matthew Parker's attitude.

The elevator stopped on the top floor. The elevator doors opened, and at the entrance, a remarkably good-looking waitress stood.

When she saw Matthew, a professional smile appeared on her face, and she bowed, saying, "Mr. Parker, Mr. Thompson has been waiting for you for a while. Please follow me."

As she spoke, she half-bowed and made a gesture of invitation.

Matthew, in his position of dominance, caught a glimpse of her ample bosom. He cleared his throat and averted his gaze, walking forward.

Soon, they arrived at a private room. After pushing open the door, inside the room, two people were sitting there. Aside from Aaron Thompson, Olivia Thompson was unexpectedly there as well.

When Olivia saw Matthew enter, she gave a slight pause and then a curious expression appeared on her pretty face.

"Mr.." Aaron Thompson was about to speak.

"I know, Matthew Parker, right? Chloe's boyfriend. I saw you yesterday," Olivia interrupted.

From her address, it seemed that she knew Chloe Ross and had a good relationship with her.

"Don't be disrespectful. He is your father's lifesaver," Aaron said sternly.

Olivia pouted but didn't pay much attention.

Anger appeared on Aaron's face, but Matthew quickly smiled and said, "Uncle, it's all right. You don't have to be like this. Actually, to be honest, I'm not Chloe's boyfriend. Chloe doesn't like being involved with rich second-generation guys, so she asked me to help out temporarily."

"So, you were really hired by Chloe?" Olivia asked with a mischievous look in her eyes.

"If you want to understand it that way, you can." Matthew replied with a smile.

At this moment, Aaron's eyes lit up slightly and he said, "So, does that mean you're actually single now? What do you think of Olivia? She's single now too. Why don't you two give it a try?"

"Dad!" Olivia blushed as soon as she heard this.

Matthew was also shocked.

This Aaron Thompson really wants to marry off his daughter. He always tries to matchmake with everyone he meets.

Matthew cleared his throat and changed the subject, saying, "Let's have a meal first."

Only then did Aaron respond. He quickly called out to someone outside the door.

"Serving!"

Delicate and delicious dishes were brought to the table, and at this moment, Aaron spoke up, saying, "By the way, Matthew, it seems like you have some conflict with Joshua?"

"If you need any help in Riverdale, be sure to let me know," Aaron said. "I will do my best to assist you with all my power!"

After a brief hesitation, Matthew said, "Well, speaking of which, I do have a favor to ask of you."
